I had an i30 N, sold it a year ago because I had a company car and it was just standing there... I now changed jobs, had to buy a car, got a Golf GTI... I still cry myself to sleep every night. The GTI isn't even allowed to tie the laces of the i30 N. Hyundai really nailed their N models.
Bought one of these brand new. Love it. Wife does the school run in it and I use it at the weekend. LSD is brilliant. P zero rubbish in the cold. 5 years warranty inc track days!
The video really captures what the car is capable of. That was some lovely interior footage of just how compliant and agile the I20 is in the right hands.
So why have so few i20Ns been sold? My partner has just bought a new black one for £25K. With a manual gearbox and a real handbrake it appears to be a steal at its low price and with a whole heap of standard equipment. We both love this throw-back car …. and we are really really old… well I am anyway.
@@robbiemein5062 Hi Robbie, I ordered it from Marshall’s, Worcester on March 11th and picked it up mid-May. I paid £25400 with mats, and black pearl paint. It was quick because they had already pre-bought it. They do that at Marshals. It is a great little car, to be used for daily commuting by my partner. She chose black to be a bit more understated.
@@davidhayes4814 thank you for the reply. No preorder from the Hyundai dealership I ordered from so need to wait for a factory build or a cancellation :/ went with the black roof but blue paint which I thought looked smart. Hope you's are enjoying the car, can't wait to get mines coming from a 2013 Volvo V40
That is a pretty great time 😄. A few seconds faster than an BMW with 300bhp more is impressive (although to be fair, the Hyundai is also quite a bit lighter as well) 😄👍
Just can’t wait to figure out what mine can do now on a track with a bit more power (240hp tested with 30°C, standard 95 fuel and A LOT of humidity). The difference in terms of acceleration is ENORMOUS
@@luke_01-49 sounds great! I'm thinking about upgrading the intake and exhaust before getting a tune, I really only want a bit more torque (and a better intake noise😃) but that's going to be a wee bit expensive, about 4k before the dyno work!
I do 120 miles per day in mine, the hard suspension can get irritating sometimes but that’s not really what’s it’s designed for. I just wanted something that could give me a bit of fun, at least partially on my commute.
We’ve got one for school run and fun. Firm suspension yes but lovely dampers. Not choppy. Back seats better than i30. And it’s £10k cheaper with all the extras and 5 years warranty
Absolutely loved watching this incredible car in its natural habitat, it's an awesome package and a fabulous daily driver cos it's exciting, cool and fun 😊😊😊
the I20N is a fast car no doubt i see all time time i20N vs all others. There are so few almost to non that make some comparison with the 20 N line how good compares to the other.
@@mharro88 Possibly, but the ST is far from uncomfortable. The 8.5 has some of the best sports seats I've tried and I find the suspension firm yet compliant. I've no complaints.
A three cylender doesnt have the the tone of a four !!! maybe thats because its working alot harder than the 4 your saying doesnt have it !! YOU'RE FIRED boy !! hahahahaha
I have been waiting for 18 months for this car, received it 2 months ago, and sorry to say I do not like it very much. I honestly think it is overhyped, gimmicky, very heavy on steering, jarring ride, build quality is not great…. Made a decision to buy it after 15 min test drive, and later on watched too many reviews hyping it up. Well, I guess I f..ed up 🤷♂️
Sorry to hear you’re unhappy. Sam loved the car on track; perhaps you need to get it onto the right road (something twisty and open!) to discover its true best self 🤞🏽
After driving it as a daily for 1 year, I just can say, that it's the best thing I've ever bought.

I have one of these, your comment at 2:50 was absolutely spot on. This car needs to be pushed hard and the faster you go, the better it gets.
It really revels in being driven hard :)

Agree with the tyres be trying different ones
This car punches well above its weight. Definitely worth the money. Nice lap by the way too.
It sure does, Emilios! Thanks :)

Thanks - we loved filming the car, so we're glad you've enjoyed the video :)

I also just bought one, went full spec with paint and speakers. What's the wait time you've been told? I've been told 8-12 months

@robbie mein Good luck getting a cancelled order I have been waiting a year and a half.
Nothing like an old school hot hatch to bring back those youthful feelings on the road :)
I mean… the quality of these productions and presenting… up there with the best.
Thanks so much for the kind words, Predrag :)
Great driving and presentation ❤👌👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Really impressive it beat the tuned Fiesta ST.
Great video thanks. Old school but mechanically sound. What's it like day-to-day though.
Thanks, Paul. It's actually very easy to live with, just like a standard i20. So long as you don't mind the firmer ride :)

I wish we had this car in the states😢
We agree it's a shame it's not sold in the US, Edwin. Be sure to try one if you visit Europe anytime soon :)

Love these hyundai i20ns biut I think I would have a fiesta st as I don't do track days
Much prefer the ST as a road car and I wouldn't buy the i20N as I think it's too visually challenging.
