I do have 5NZ Tiguan and service it myself. To be honest, the thought of making a hole around the drain plug area has crossed my mind, considering the hassle one goes through to remove the two plastic belly covers.

That tire is 100% repairable there is plenty of room for a patch there

@@Lilystone I think the bottom cover should have had a small door, just around the drain plug area for easy acess, now you need to remove two covers for this purpose.
Great video...thanks! What would you think of the idea of cutting out a neat hole to access the drain plug and fabricating a removable cover from a similar material?
That’s what bmw does! it’s not a bad idea but for me I like to remove the belly pan to do a whole inspection.

Great engineering, manufacture, making their shxt unique. more money on oil, more money on big filters.
Spend more time r&r 1000 screws than actual oil change. This is how eu is going green on everything. making small things like oil change a huge deal for owners.
what a waste of time just get simple oil change done.
and then quite few owners getting carbon buildups, with cel. end up going to dealers to get cars decarbed...... where is the end though?
