@@Dbones5959 this SHO definitely has a nice tune. I’m a sho owner and mine is not this fast, also that SHO driver is good, very fast reaction time. GT driver is your typical mustang guy.
He's not just a test n tune guy, he's a real driver! He holeshotted everybody he lined up with.

@ForgiveTaylor yeah the stock 0-60 times between the same model year SHO/scatpack has a 0.1sec difference, favoring the SHO

Judging from 1/4 mile times the sho aint stock but still fun to leave the v8 owners scratching their head
Looks like he is spraying it out of the hole, you can see something coming from the back of the car around the exhaust at launch.

The last year I sold cars with Ford was the last year the did one of these in 18. Happy to say I’ve got to drive it the SHO is ford’s best kept secret like how Chevy has the Chevy ss.

It's the AWD. You don't have to worry about wheel spin nearly as much.

I can't believe how bad the drivers are. You can't sit and wait until the green light goes on, that's how you get a terrible reaction time and how a faster car looses because of a bad driver.

@@jim6807 No Jim, that's not true that's why you leave on the second last amber. That allows for the gap in time it takes your wheel to break the laser beam. That defeats the slow reaction time that every driver has, you can't wait for the green, by then you've pretty well lost the race in the first 60 feet. That's why you put on tall skinny tires for the front, roll resistance for more mph in the traps and a larger diameter to allow you to launch earlier and cut a humanly impossible fast light. If you wait for the green you're beat before you even start....capeche.

@@jim6807 No Jim, the clock starts when your front tire breaks the beam and depending on the dia of the tire and how shallow or deep you have staged. There is 6" to 12" that blocks the laser before it hits the receiver on the other side of the lane. It's very simple Jim, your tire has to roll ahead far enough to allow the beam to hit the sensor on the other side of the lane. If you leave too soon and the laser hits the sensor before the green light goes on, you red light. No you're right, reaction time doesn't effect your time because the timer doesn't start until you break the beam. But reaction time makes the difference of who crosses the finish line first. It's called a hole shot Jim, but don't worry about it, with your understanding of how the drag racing timing equipment works, you'll never get one, so not to worry.
"The clock starts when the car moves" couldn't be more wrong. There is a staging beam your tire hits that turns the top amber lights on. Then you go deeper to turn on the second two light. Then when you launch the beam is no longer blocked by the tire and hits the sensor on the other side of the lane and if you've practised and done it right you get a nice hole shot on the guy that doesn't know how it works. That's the difference between a pro drag racer and an amateur who is left sitting at the lights wondering what happened....lol.

They are stock and fast it's 5.5 second car need no mod.... Beats charger and mustang Chrysler and Chevy that are around 5 to 6 second ...only mod u need is a heavy foot 🦶 😅

The aftermarket turbos you can get add ridiculous hp.
@@donovanwilliams8807 anymore than that then you really need alot of weight reduction or a new transmission lol but horsepower actually comes far cheaper for SHOs than most cars. Im actually considering meth on mine.

Sho's are awd. With a twin turbocharged v6. It's not upgraded. It's just a disregarded sleeper car.
