PRIEST, a post-apocalyptic action thriller, is set in an alternate world -- one ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. The story revolves around a legendary Warrior Priest (Paul Bettany) from the last Vampire War who now lives in obscurity among the other downtrodden human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities ruled by the Church. When his niece (Lily Collins) is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires, Priest breaks his sacred vows to venture out on an obsessive quest to find her before they turn her into one of them. He is joined on his crusade by his niece's boyfriend (Cam Gigandet), a trigger-fingered young wasteland sheriff, and a former Warrior Priestess (Maggie Q) who possesses otherworldly fighting skills.

I like how these days vampires are made into EVERYTHING else but the original vampire.
For a second I thought this was Preacher and my heart skipped a beat. That's what they need to make, well maybe not.
The ending of the trailer scared the fuck out of me. I will not lie.
So let me get this straight. Ninja priests fight a kung fu vampire cowboy in a post-apocalyptic future?
Coolest. Movie. Ever.
It looks pretty good. Special effects look good, story doesn't look bad, and I wouldn't mind paying 10 bucks to see it.

I was expecting Charlie Sheen to in this as a Vatican warlock assassin.
Anything with vampires in it, I'll check it out. I've seen almost every vampire movie since I was like 3. True Hardcore Vampire Lover.

I thought was darkwatch for a second when i first saw this trailer in theaters when the dude with the hat and dust jacket came on the train......THIS MOVIE LOOKS FREAKING SWEET

Really cool movie ....at the train chase were coouple of gliches......the sun's angle are from 3 different directions.But one of the most good vampire movies,amongst underworld and van helsing.
This director should take a shot at making a Trigun movie.
I am a fan of thrillers haven't seen a good one in a long time. The actors are playing realistically not like some other movies I have seen. Looking at the comments here Its on my top list

To everyone who is hating... this movie is a DISTOPIA where the church has TOTAL power, therefore they are corrupt because no one is strong enough to oppose them. Priest then has an epiphany and rebels against the church. also the demons are not vampires they are hellspawn ( devil's minions).

Once I saw ninja stars made of crosses, I realized that the movie-making industry is flat out of ideas.
This is gonna be awesome. Reminds me of Legion and that was a bad ass movie.

This looks quite interesting. I particularly dig the environments and the worlds atmosphere and scenery. I just might watch out for this movie if I have the time. As long as it isn't as bad as Babylon AD.

The first time I saw a teaser trailer for this film - not this trailer - I wondered if it was 'The Dark Tower'. You know, the priest with a cross on his head, gunslingers, vampires, a desert and a train.
7 dislikes were twillight fans, who wanna cuddle vampires...
I kept passing on this trailer because I thought it was some Excorcism movie, how silly I was.

this movie was based off Priest, the manhwa (Korean comic) series created by Hyung Min-woo. Also a thing interesting is that Dream Theater made a song based off this comic book series "In presence of Enemies Parts 1 and 2." This movie would make a good video for the song.

I saw this today, and once I got into it, it was a really good movie. Ordinarily I let Rotten Tomatoes guide my choices, today I'm glad I forgot to check.
It was fun, and interesting on a lot of levels.
i see a few aspects and characteristics that this movie relates too... Hitman, Blade, Riddick, and constantine lol sweet

@rastkos I totally agree with that. I did a few, very shallow but nevertheless, essays on the topic for some of my history classes so I'm well aware. However, the mystique of Transylvania (it is a real region you know) was established way before any books or movies were done about the place. The folklore vampire myths fluttering for a long long time. Plus Elizabeth Bathory who was also around at the time, granted she was undeniably human but there is no doubt where she got her crazy ideas from..
