Steve Moore has become one of my favorite drummers, he has chops, great timing and talent for the unconventional. His "antics" are amazing to watch - what looks simple for him, is very complicated to try and emulate, I'm sure.
This is one of the most talented groups that I have ever seen. With all the showmanship, even when you close your eyes, you can hear just how phenomenal they are. And Steve's style and sound and how he plays these historic songs makes them come alive and adds additional enjoyment to them in this day and age. Truly An Amazing Drummer.
You know it really doesnt matter what I think cause I'm just a drummer guy but I think he is above and beyond a great drummer who is in complete control of his drumming he is three steps ahead of a regular drummer cause not only does he have to play the song with breaks and tempo ect but he has to work all those amazing little tricks in that he does which to me I think is alot harder then the best stick twirling guy in the world it would be interesting to me to see what mr Rich would have thought of him because I believe drummers who really appreciate and get what he does know that he is a master of his domain
Drummers tend to be low key, Joe Cool types that hang in the background. Then there's The Mad Drummer, Steve Moore who decided to go against the stereotype and does so magnificently.
This is very very good... takes the whole thing to a new level!! SM's performances are joy to the eyes... Congrats to the whole crew, though: a BAND in capitals!
I used to be a drummer in a band I wished I would of seen this guy while I was playing I would of done some of those moves. He’s a very good and funny drummer.
Every video of there's he's just a little bit different and REALLY fun... One word, ENTERTAINMENT!! you get your monies worth when you go to these shows...
Imagine if Steve ever found a band where the rest of the band was on his level..... Rick has been serving up the vanilla for decades. And the old farts eat that shit up!
who cares if he can sing, he gets the job done, and he got the gigs, do you? For the drummer, sit aside his funny theatrics, straight rip of tommy lee in the early years, he is actually a very good drummer. He plays accurately, and in time. His meter is dead on and his parts are what the songs require, not more, not less. You can't ask for a better player on drums.
I agree he sings fine. He apparently puts this pretty tight band together and he's also a good drummer himself. Watch a video of them doing Wipeout where they do a lot of gags on the drums, it's excellent.
@@reed311 triggering keyboards does not mean he has a click track. It means he wacked a trigger and played with the keyboard sequence. However if he uses a click track than it is even more demanding that he gets the timing perfect. It is not a cheat, it is a tool. Takes as much good timing to play with one as it does to play without one. Better even.
@@brucehams3593 I do not agree that he is better than tommy lee and I am not a tommy lee fan, never was. There is no point debating about him vs. signed artists that have been on several tours around the world and hold multiple platinum records. He just isn't that experienced. He is one step out of the garage. However there is no bad thing I can say, for the gigging drummer, he does a great job of playing the parts, in time, while making it fun to watch. Which is more than most average club gigging drummers do.
For those of you who want to criticize Rick's singing: go back and look at him dance at the begining of the song. He's Caruso as a singer compared to how he dances. And he can't sing 'cuz he isn't driving or standing in the shower where most of us sing our best.
As an aside, and I personally don't think he's a _bad_ singer(or the rest of the band), but... But. If you've ever worked with musicians, it's tough to find people who don't mind taking a backseat to the [wonderful] circus act that is the drummer.
Now i realize even more why i dis like live band's audio quality sucks at best 90% of the time.Grinds my teeth just hearing it.The only good thing about the band is Steve moore. The main singer can't even hit notes let alone song lyrics lol.
Rob, everybody’s aware of how good of a band they are, there’s just a focal point in one player and in this case it’s the drummer. There are bands that have a bombastic and over the top guitar player that everyone focuses on, and the rest of the band is good and gets the job done without being flashy. It’s how a band has a key identity. Look at Cheap Trick. Three unflashy regular guys just playing their parts well and then there’s the guitarist Rick Neilson who’s got the stage persona of being a weird goofball guy who burns that guitar up! You would never know to look at him but he used to be one of the top guitarists out there. It’s all about having an identity. It only works if the band sounds good and these guys all sound great.
@@colinmccrone3986 So, what you're saying is, you don't have a career in music, you haven't been to see an actual band since you were 1, and it's all so very horrible how you're not important? Poor you. Diddums.
a parody of what 'real' drumming? by what drummer? If it's the fun Steve's showing you don't like, then you've missed the point of the joy playing an instrument brings to the player & the listener

This band lends it’s existence to Steve Moore. Without him, they’d be just a hack lounge act.
Здорово 👍 наикрутейшие рокеры ударник вообще силище

The drummer knows his beat, and hits it every time - he is not af bad drummer.
His other gig is fill in drummer for Dave Lombardo in the Misfits.

He is playing to a click track. One some tracks it is obvious because he is triggering keyboards that aren't live, etc.

DUDES!
Вот это ударник фантастика

In order to pull off playing like that you have to be a true Master. Its not only what he plays, but what he doesnt play.
