They make it look easy - that’s the result of relentless practicing, no question. Seamless, never miss a beat, engaging the crowd - true showmanship, in every sense of the word.
I can't believe I've never heard of these guys. This is probably the most entertaining drummer I've ever seen. I hate cover bands but would pay to see them for sure. Maybe I'll get lucky and they will play the state fair one year.
@@robinvibes6916 I’ve played that stage many times…looks like it had been raining…it’s an amusement park in PA. Shows are at scheduled times but if weather interrupts, it could have been delayed and crowd is smaller…the seats go way back and crowd usually is walking by and stops in to listen. You might also recognize the stage from the opening of Taylor Swifts documentary, where she frequently played…and in it you will see my bands banner ‘Sug’r Bear’. Yep..we shared a stage with her. Lol. I was famous briefly. Lol.
These guys really should have a much bigger popular footprint than they have. They may be a cover band, but they have one hell of a stage presence. That drummer is something special.
The Surfaris wrote this song in less than 30 minutes and as a filler song to finish out the record they were recording. A very young Frank Zappa was at the studio when this happened. I'm sure the Surfaris didn't expect that song would be such a big hit and STILL be HUGE 40 plus years later. Great job guys.
Didn’t know that. Zappa shows up in the weirdest places. I was watching an old Steve Allen tv show from the sixties and a young Frank Zappa was a novelty guest. He came out and played various parts of a bicycle. Allen described him as an avant garde composer. Allen also had Jack Kerouak, and Lenny Bruce on his show.
@@buddyrichable1 I watched the video of Frank you mentioned a few times. Gotta watch it again a few Moore times. See that? I made a Steve Moore....yeah, me too! Thanks.
Same thing happened to Elvis with 'That's alright Mama'. Music only really happens when you play it, but if you’re lucky enough to press that ‘record’ button, that’s when 'magic' can happen.
I take back my first comment, these guys are one of the most unique, fun, talented bands as a whole I have ever seen. Even in the rain they would make me smile and have a great time without missing a single beat, up or down, awesome.
This is amazing. From the interloping drummer, to the dueling drummers, to the runaway drummer with the toilet seat, to the amazing performance from everyone (especially the drummers!), this was rad.
Drummers showing off crazy like that is usually bad because they tend to sacrifice tempo and timing for their antics, but this guy is something else lol. Both drummers were actually quite good playing together like that. A ticker to this show was money well spent!
I taught my son how to play drums at age 9. He schooled ME!, after a few years! We have a bond NO ONE can ever break! (Though, we HAVE broken a few sticks, drum heads and hearts!)
Same here. I was wondering what kind of church service is this I'm watching lol. Are they performing @ six flags amusement park or somewhere like that?
I have never seen or heard a better drum solo in my life. These guys must be among the greatest drummers of all time, at least in the showmanship department.
Google AVERY DRUMMER MOLEK from PA on UA-cam. Hes a drumming prodigy. He has a video of him rippin up Wipeout when he was SIX YEARS OLD! He still plays. Check out his channel.
empire They probably make a halfway decent living with this act. The cheese factor is pretty high, but in this setting, that's what they're looking for. These guys obviously have talent, but walk into most bars with a cover band on a Friday night, and you'll find an equally talented group of musicians. There are just so many talented musicians out there, it's tough for anyone to really rise up above the masses, especially if they're playing covers. I will say, these guys are good with playing to the crowd. They have a good act for where they are playing.

This is showmanship at its best, and not at the expense of technical accuracy. I've never seen tag team drumming. They doubled-teamed the drums, which triples the degree of difficulty.

When your band has two drummers but only one drum kit.
