The brass coming in strong and majestic at the middle of the second verse. The look of deep sadness/loss on His Majesty's face. No matter how you may feel about his sins of the past with Diana, we are looking at an elderly man who just lost his mother. For the first time in his life, he is listening to this song being sung to him. For that, you can't help but wish him the deepest condolences and support.

Initially, I believed what ppl say about PC&D. The public & media didn’t look at PC/C the way they looked at M&H. I believe Diana came right at the end of PC’s marriage dilemma, not at the start. It’s a painful process but it proves the clash between tradition, culture, family & individuals. PC made it clear frm the start who he wanted to marry. Didn’t work bcs the system didn’t accept an heir marrying a Catholic among other things. If what happened to Camilla had happened to M, imagine what the story wld be out there. Difficult for PC&C, but they tried to handle it the way they cld. It’s not true that RF didn’t like Diana. A Spencer was the preference for aristocratic reasons. That wld never apply to H&M for obvious reasons. RF has tried to learn frm PC&C given they let PW marry a commoner. Applaud them for making that shift where it was befitting. H is lying when he says PW is trapped. He married a woman of his choice even though she was a commoner & RF were happy up to now. PA married a commoner and so did Pr Edward. Princess Anne too. No one had anything against M. It’s how M tried to use race to get whatever she wanted - esp disregarding PW as an heir. H initially tried to make her follow protocols & hierarchy but fell flat on his face as M wldnt have it. H simply let her do as she wanted in the monarchy. That’s what didn’t work - nothing to do with race. PC&D were more of an arranged couple. Didn’t work. Di had 2 children & she loved both. She wldnt accept what we’ve seen against PW & his family, incl his kids. H is not the only spare. How r others handling it. Look at Pr Edward & his family, Princess Anne, even Fergie after her divorce. Sussex supporters shld hold their idols accountable
Definitely the most moving Anthem around the world!
Heard that Anthem so often and i always loved it. BUT(!!): At this time, when at the 2nd verse the heavy pipes and the trumpets came in (1:05 ca), i had goosebumps like never before. It did sound so massive and mighty, i doubt that any other anthem could be played like this, maybe i am wrong but...wow..
the trumpet opening is the best part and you leave it out :|
