As an Indian, even though we have terrible history. The Queen was a genuinely nice lady, and always cared for not just her own people, but everyone in the world as well. Her passing seems to mark the end of the old post World War 2 world... She was like the unofficial Grandma of Earth, from an empire that once ruled the Earth
What a lovely response. 😊 She was indeed - my grandmother got an MBE from her, and after her death and that of my grandfather, she sent me a letter of condolence. Since it was a time when most of my friends were too distracted by politics of Brexit and Trump to notice, I'll never forget that.

We didn't live in Victorian Era, but witnessed Elizabeth Era.
The flags at the Cenotaph started to hit me, and seeing Trudeau arrive at the funeral. He met the Queen as a child with his late brother and father, and I think the memories flowed back.
I met King Charles in Cardiff and I’ll never forget that day 2 weeks ago

I'm an American born the year she became Queen and she was like my mom. Major props to her. Lived a long life. Wow. Will miss her.
When my life ends, it is the 36 years serving HM the Queen that makes me proudest. She was just always there for us all.
She was our closest friend and ally after the 9/11 attacks, and she did everything she could to send a message of friendship and comfort across the sea to a country that was confused, sad, and angry. She had our national anthem played at Buckingham Palace. She was compassionate, wise, and ever graceful. I will never forget.
what a load of toss. she did nothing but live off of the public. where is the disconnect with you people? what do the royal family actually do besides spend public money whilst hiding their wealth?

One year past. I still love my Queen.
I am a New Zealander with brit heritage , my late mother and Queen Elizabeth make me so proud to have Brit heritage . The world will never see a monarch quite like her majesty indeed . Queen Elizabeth was truly one of a kind indeed
As a Royal Navy serviceman for 22 years, this hit harder than I ever imagined, even at her funeral Ive never felt more proud to be British as I said goodbye to the greatest ever Brit. Rip Ma'am
But didn't the Navy lads and lasses do her proud on that gun carriage? Although its not shown here I was OK on the day until the Starboard (brake) crew snapped back in line outside Westminster Hall. It was like OK this is now very real.
And they recovered really well from a missed start by the pipes at the 'Slow March'. Well done the Jacks from an ex Crab.
Same here 9 years in the RN and still going. I was serving on the RFA Argus at the time we heard the news of Queen Elizabeth's passing. Everything stopped, me and me fellow matlot's stood and raised a toast to her majesty. Everyone in unison wishing to mark her passing and show their respect

She was indeed - my grandmother got an MBE from her, and after her death and that of my grandfather, she sent me a letter of condolence. Since it was a time when most of my friends were too distracted by politics of Brexit and Trump to notice, I'll never forget that.
Was the 200 years of British-Indian history really more "terrible" than the previous 2000 years of Indian history?
Taking all into account?

Over a year has passed and I still cry when I think of the wonderful reign of one of our greatest monarchs. Your not the only one. Still can't believe she has gone. End of an era when people fought for this country to see what its like now. No back bone in most. Just want hard outs. Don't want tonwork for anything. Queen Elizabeth 11 was the last of a great people who fought for the right to survive. Today they don't care.
