I went to the park for a walk yesterday, trying to do something healthy. I was overtaken by eight separate people in their 70s or 80s, including one spry little old lady with a walker. I don’t even qualify for average.
I was doing my version of jogging one morning and a moth passed me. It wasn't even going in a straight line, just fluttering around.
@@thandie67When everyone is running fast most people can't quite grasp just how fast it is. You put an average person (a decent amateur at least) and it's like wow! Unbelievable. A bit like you sometimes put your hand or a ruler next to an object in the picture for scale.

I feel like the Spring Olympics would be even more challenging in Canada. Talk about cross country running in the slush and sleet, synchronized maple-water harvesting in the mud (points lost for any yellow water collected), cycling in the new crop of potholes and detritus, the 100m mounds-of-brown-snow, the 1 500m running/swimming in the street corner lakes while buses splash at you followed by a panel of judges deciding which athlete is the cleanest in the end for extra points, and the emptying of basement full of water from the last flood. Now that's extreme sports!

Funny, but I ditched Network TV 7 years ago and stream everything from Acorn, BritBox, History Hit TV and BBC because they have superior TV compared to the shallow crap on American TV. No more car commercials or lying politicians; what I want when I want it. My exceptions are PBS and UA-cam (which is full of commercials) but only for Colbert. Acorn has content from Canada, Australia, South Africa plus the UK. BritBox is as it sounds, UK and few from Europe with subtitles. History Hit TV is mostly historical documentaries, with a lot of original content.
Imagine being all high and mighty over the TV programs you consume.

Guys on my college softball team were obsessed w/trying to break bottles over their heads. They'd try different brands, different colors of glass, different techniques-SUPER NERDY ❤ I don't recall anyone being capable of it, reinforcing the theory that it cannot be done b/c hitting your own head is bad so your body won't conspire against itself or something like that? Late 90s/early 00s. It was both the dumbest thing I've ever seen and ridiculously fun to watch 😅

There are sooo many streaming services now that it would be nice to have a central place to go to to watch them all, maybe even easily switch between them with a remote. And just think of how nice it would be if you could pay one price to get them all instead of multiple payments... it could work. Not sure what we would call it tho. Cable seems to be taken. 🤔😏
You'll have to get two or three mega-corps to run it, force people to pay for 60 things they don't want, give them awful customer service, randomly raise their bills with no explanation, and lobby their governments to take away their rights. I don't know WHY you'd have to do all those things, but there's no other way.

Acorn is my only streaming service! I watch that and late night comedy on UA-cam exclusively. It's mostly British and Australian shows with a few from New Zealand, India, and Canada. It's heavily mysteries! It's great.
