I just ordered mine at my local dealership, it is a 2023 LXS with the tech package $21,582. I chose deep sea blue, it is a beautiful color! I will be leasing mine as well. It should be ready in about 3 months, I look forward to it!!
Just picked up my LXS last week. I appreciate the honesty and candor in your video. Its not a sports car but it has a nice young look and feel to it. Suits my needs perfectly! I did not get the tech package though. That would have been nice. Am putting remote start nd have an after market heated seat that fits beautifully and plugs into 12V outlet. Thanks AmetAuto!!
Do you recommend having the dealer put in remote start or getting an after market unit ? I have heard thats its best to have dealers do it. Never had a car with remote start but its a wish list item.
Just picked mine up this past weekend! First time car buyer and in this market, I’m very happy with what I paid and the car itself. Going from a 97 pathfinder to this thing, feels like a Lambo lol!!
I just got a 2022 Kia Forte in the same color! I’m loving it. However, I don’t think I have the tech package yet I still have the color screen between the gauges. Bought it for $16,500 with 29,000 miles in it.
Just got a kia forte lxs in snow white pearl( no technology package). Absolutely love the car. Its super well equipped for the price, spacious, drives smooth, pretty quite, fuel efficient, retains its price relatively well and in my opinion one of the best looking cars in its class. (Lets see how it holds up over time).
I paid $21,735 before tax/license in December for the "Fire Orange" (which is what the color is actually called)... It was marked up $995 from my dealer at the time. It doesn't have the technology package however, but I really like the car so far after only 1600 miles. 2 weeks ago I helped my daughter get a new Hyundai Elantra SEL trim for exactly MSRP. She got a better deal...it even has a spare tire! Dealers are starting to lighten up with these rediculous markups!
I bought one very similar to yours in Feb 2022. Mine is red.I now have 4000 miles on mine.We REALLY like it a lot. Mine does not have the side view mirrors with the turn signal . One upgrade that I would like to have is a compass.
In addition to the Gt 5 , I can get the Forte5 hathback base Lx model here in Canada. More efficient than the Seltos with the same 2.0 powertrain and roughly the same cargo capacity.
Test drove one, nice solid small car. Good tech features. Best bang for your buck at the price point. Only thing I didnt like was the tinny sound system. Adequate but not nearly as nice as the Mazda 3 eight speaker system. For those shopping comparable vehicles, Corolla LE will probably be more reliable over the long haul if you plan to keep the car for 10 plus years. Corolla LE is a notch below the Forte in terms of tech and looks but is time tested to last over 200,000 miles easily they just keep going and going if you maintain them. The Mazda 3 has a more luxurious cabin but costs more and gets worse MPG. I liked the Mazda 3 cabin space it felt like a European car and does not use a CVT but gas mileage was not in the league of Forte.
I bought mine this past February and I absolutely love it. Mine has the exact same goodies as yours does. I traded in my 2017 for my 2022. Mine is Snow White Pearl exterior that’s my style. Only thing I wish it came with is the chrome exhaust I thought that looked cool but they got rid of it for this year. Anyway it’s funny how the Canadian model LXS has the leather wrap steering wheel standard. They probably have more money lol
It's based on the 2017-2020 Hyundai Elantra, which is a very nice car. I owned a 2018. I had a love/hate relationship with it though. It felt premium for a sub-$20k car. It was comfortable, quiet, and got amazing MPGs. However, the throttle calibration was ridiculously jumpy off the line and the 6-spd auto it had was terribly behaved and unreliable. In 2020 they replaced it with the new CVT transmission, which I've heard is a very nice unit. Time will tell about reliability. If I didn't need the better utility of something like a hatchback or CUV, the Forte would definitely be on my shopping list.
My question to you is whether an optional audio system is available with this Forte LXS. It seems as if Kia does not offer one with this version of the Forte. A shame if that's true. I'd want a sunroof and higher class audio system with subwoofer light years ahead of the standard setup offered. I'd get the 2024 model in Fire Orange! Time will tell about the upgrades I described here. Peace...♐🙏
Love the new 22! I have a 2020 forte gt on a lease it ends next July. They have been reaching out trying to get me to upgrade but worried about increasing my payment. Would you recommend upgrading to the new 22 gt or keeping mine in this market?
See what you can do. Your car is probably worth close to brand new price. No shame in keeping your current car though, the upgrades are mostly styling.
Does the LXS trim have daytime lights still? Or did they get rid of them with the removal of the fog lights? I know the fog lights used to be the daytime lights. On Kia’s website it says the LXS has daytime lights still but I’m not sure what light would be used for them.
Smart mode isnt eco mode, it just learn and adapt to you... if you floor the pedal for a while it will switch to Sport mode and back to normal mode once done etc... at least on my GT Limited 22 that's how smart mode works
Have not driven with the 2022 model in snow but the 2021 model i had rode OK in the snow. About what you could expect a compact car with brand new tires to accomplish.
The sound system is good for a $21,000 car. I've definitely heard worse but if you're really into music or used to higher end systems you'll probably want to upgrade.

Looks nice and roomy inside and love the color! Looks like you get alot of car for that price point. Very informative. Thanks for sharing.

Yeh I miss the chrome exhaust tip. Would LOVE a leather steering wheel but for the price still can't complain.

Nice inferno color! It's definitely a switch from white and black but it looks good.

Has daytime runming lights but their not the nice looking LED ones like on higher trims.
I wanted a remote start though idk how to get one. I've had my lxs for just under 2 months. I absolutely hate the front license plate.
I hated the fog lights I'm glad they are gone. They never worked always had one out lol mine just got totaled had a 2020 now I got a 2022
