I just got one, nearly identical......I completely get it. I sorta "fell into it" at the dealership. It is by far the most fun I have ever had in a daily driver.
I owned a Gen 2 Mazda hatchback with 41,000 miles on it. In January of 2021, a 'voice' told me to buy a newer vehicle. I love the third Gen Mazda 3's, and a dealer had a grey 2018 Mazda 3 hatchback for sale that was a lease return. It was the same Touring model as yours, minus the sun/sound package. It had less than 14,000 miles on it, and they were asking $16,995. I traded mine in, and paid cash for the balance. It's now worth over $22,500. I was one lucky guy. Thanks Dad! It now has just over 16,000 miles on it.
Awesome review...even I had bought my used 2018 mazda 3 touring around the same time frame as you did...the Mazda 3 just blows my mind and I'm glad I bought this....zoom zoom
I just bought a Demo Mazda 3 2019 here in Thailand for 18,200 USD. The same model as you. The mileage so far is 500 Kilometers.it's good & nice car and very fun to drive.
Great review and wow you got one hell of a deal on that car. I bought a 2015 3 GT and paid that price. But i did get the maxcare warranty through carmax so the price was a little steep. Overall i love my 3 and as far as the infotainment command center i really like it. I find it very easy to use without reaching for the screen. Ive done a few small things to it such as window visors and new all weather floor mats.
@3:55 the cover he opens also gives access to the rear lights which, unlike the Mazda MX-5 I used to own, are really easy to replace. Little things like that mean a lot. I LOVE my Mazda 3.
I just got a 2018 mazda 3 gt manual with all the add ons with 44k miles for ~18k, been loving it so far. Tried to go for a touring but there weren't any good deals on that one near me, they all had body damage and or more then 150k miles for only 2-3k less.
I have the same vehicle only issue I have when it is that there's no room in the back at all so it's like having a two-seater but other than that it's a great vehicle
Put 5000 miles on so far and very happy. I'm so surprised by how much i enjoy it. I really just originally bought it as a car to toss miles on cheaply.
You paid under 16000 for that!! I’m in the market for a car right now and look for a Mazda 3 hatchback. They don’t exist at the price no more with that many miles and cpo
@@amentauto3610 I’m so jealous. I’m just going to have to be patient. I can’t pay a 4000 dollar increase when I know the market is going To eventually get back to normal. My soul won’t let me
@@amentauto3610 I see a 2018 mazda 3 touring for 19,800 with 30k miles, but my 2016 scion iA with 28k miles can be bought for 13-14k. I make 6k after tax per month so this upgrade seems fine.. hmm

I loved this car when I had it. Great speed, comfort and control. I hated to see it go!
Nice overview. If you don't normally have passengers in the back, you can remove the rear headrests to make the cabin feel more open and airy.
That’s a good idea 🙏
That's a really interesting idea. I have a 2015 and will try that!

Was a phenomenal car. I actually sold mine to carmax and made $2200.
That does look like a nice ride!!Thanks for sharing and i love the hatch-backs!!

I got lucky and bought a 2017 2.5 Hatch Grand Touring w/ 28.5k mi. for 16K back in late 2020. It's my second Mazda 3 and I love it!

Greetings from Wauwatosa!
Do you still have your 2018 Mazda 3 hatchback? Any issues ??? Thank you!
They call the brown trim Espresso. I bought a 2018 3 Touring Sedan MT new. (love it!)

Its crazy how much more expensive this car would be if bought today 😢
I know. Probably around 20K.
No kidding, ive been considering getting one but at 20k is not worth it. I would do 15k all day lol
@Luis Flores especially considering it was certified pre owed with warranty. Total steal.
Snagged a sedan one of these right before prices exploded for about 16k CPO... damn am I glad I did.
You can turn off the touchscreen deactivation when driving in the settings menu.
400$ cost Apple CarPlay from dealer 😊
What happened to the right side mirror?
Just dirty!
Wait till u drive the 2021. It's even better!
Video is on my channel of one!
You guys should get an Mazda CX-9!
That is an excellent vehicle but we're going a slightly different route!

I’m tempted to just freeze my tail off during the winter while driving until the used cars market calms down
Yeh I bought in late January right before the used car Market exploded. Car was $15700

How many cars do u own
We're currently a 1 car and 1 motorcycle household. I have personally owned 13 cars in my life though.
You ain’t lying bout the boom I paid 22k for a 17 grand touring with the safety tech but it did have 18k miles
This market is crazy. I actually just sold this to CarMax for 20K. Literally made 4Grand on the car in 6 months. My replacement was just posted!
@@amentauto3610 I'm about to sell my 2020 Subaru Crosstrek to Carvana for $35k and I bought it new for $31k. It's insane!
