I'm so pleased I'm definitely not alone in this world when it comes to getting sidetracked on projects ...... I've not built a balsa model but the idea is growing one me. Very looking forward to seeing this build !!! ........ now I've forgotten what I was doing ❤😉🙃😎 NZ
I’m in the later part of the build of the Cloud Clipper. Pretty good kits! Not everything is covered and the instructions are sparse but with some experience and some deductive reasoning, it can be built easily.
Looking forward to your build Mark. A bloke in my club has built one and covered it in brown paper with water-based paint over the top. It flies well on an OS 40. Mind you he's an experienced builder! Your mate Roy would have been better off with a Ben Buckle Super 60 or Junior 60, or perhaps even a Radio Queen in my opinion. Slab sided fuselages and parellel chord wings would have made the build easier. I hope he will be standing at your shoulder so that he may see how things are done. SLEC have taken over Belair kits. They sell a range of short-kits at very reasonable prices. They offer the the Super 60 and the Junior 60 as well as Vic Smeed's Tomboy another model with a slab sided fuselage and a parallel chord wing originally designed for the novice builder. I have a soft spot for the Junior 60, it was my first successful r/c model. I am about to start building my third. I intend to power it with a 2.5cc engine.
He has built a Junior 60 which he crashed and I rebuilt for him recently (I did a video on it ). He does build I'm not sure why he couldn't face this one.
I'm looking forward to the build video too Mark, it looks like a great kit. BTW was that an iMAX B6 charger that had finished charging in the background?
Mark, looking forward to your build.
You've got me itching to get back to the building board 😊
It's infectious 😅

Strangley enough I bought this exact same kit from a fellow club member at christmas, so I will watch your build with great interest. Thank you.
Awesome, thank you! electric or IC ?
Mark looks like a great kit and plane. Checked out Value Planes, they have some nice looking birds. Jeff in LA USA
Great introduction to balsa modelling 😊
That's is a very nice kit, it should build a lovely airplane. We look forward to the balsa dust!
Sure it will be a fun build

Very nice, I actually started this kit, and didn't finish it yet. You are going to motivate me! Thanks Mark

Another very nice model from value planes.
I am sure you will have this built quickly with your skills. Looks like a nice plane.

I had a weak moment at the Hobby shop and took one of those home a few months back.
It builds into a nice model you won't regret it.

Yes it was well spotted
I love building. But I have to say, the kit cost is deceiving because it requires a good bit more. Enjoy your videos.
Your correct you have a lot of hidden cost but on the plus side you have the enjoyment of building the model.
Please don't build her electric
ua-cam.com/video/lLKQCWN2REA/v-deo.htmlsi=8bTw7gAfdTM_Kvb4 this is my version, Roy is a pure electric man I'm afraid 😳.
@@MarkCroucherRC4fun I have a trainee pilot just like that!
