Brilliant idea!!!!!!! Never ever thought of that. I've only ever used solartex (still have some left😊) and have a bunch of RC plane polyester (forget the brand) for large models with I think it's sig adhesive. Anyway it's basically dress making material I reckon. No idea of different levels of shrinkage since I've not tried it yet. Mark's lining material idea goes back decades. But again I've not tried it. His videos are very informative and enjoyable . As for your idea of different colouring ....... I suppose dress lining comes in various colours but white seems to be the standard for modelling maybe due to being more compatible with lighter primers and paint colours. But coloured fabric would only need auto 2K clear to seal and protect. Your mention of coloured fabric is so obvious it's almost embarrassing to have never considered it.
