Kazan is the unique place cause it is the perfect example of peaceful coliving together of Christians and Muslims. The city population is basically 50% Russian (Christians), 50% Tatar (Muslims). Churches are standing right next to mosques. Everybody respect traditions of the others and dont tell them how they should behave. A girl can go through a street wearing a hijab or a short skirt and nobody will tell her anything. If you want to drink an alcohol you will find plenty of bars and if you want to eat at a halal place there will be a lot of them as well. Its a shame that there are not so many places in the world with ppl attitude towards each other like in Kazan.
Because basically we all are Russians, its a mistake to call Russians only Christians or that Tatars are only muslim. Our people were living together for so long and as neighbors living on a large flat locations connected with rivers, we have really close and complicated national histories. All love and respect and love to people in Tatarstan, I will come there soon hopefully
@Рамис Карама I understand that and agree, but both Russians and Tatars are super ethnithities, which have complex ethnic structure and that are both equally significant for the fact of appereance of the Medieval Russian state.

Well said. I think it is the same for many Americans in the US as well - it takes a foreign perspective to see it's beauty with pure eyes! Thanks for watching! 🙏

Алексей Кузьмин окончательно город пал и был разграблен после захвата города ушкуйниками

@@Zuzyandr after 1361 the city was no longer considered Bulgarian. How Kazan taken by Ivan the Terrible ceased to be a Tatar city because the Tatars were forbidden to live closer than 30 miles from the fortress. And all the aliens attacked the Ardynians.

Это очень необычное чувство когда ты видишь на экране то что видишь почти каждый день.
Wow! Just came across this beautiful vlog! Big thanks for making an effort and getting the Tatar cultural moments correctly, I'm very proud as a Tatar person to watch this. Special thanks for the original correct spelling of the traditional pastry's name Öçpoçmaq, really appreciate that, man! But you also could've left the original name Qazılıq for the Horse Carpaccio (as you put it) and Kystybi is actually spelled Qıstıbıy, Göbädiyä, rather than Gubadiya, though I understand these were what you were told, so probably its not your fault. Also, lapsha isn't Russian, it's in fact Toqmaç, Tatar as well.
Спасибо тебе большое, очень интересно смотреть места в России, о которых ты ничего не знал, и открывать их для себе!

I implore everyone to read Ahmed Bin Fadlan’s (أحمد بن فضلان) travel book commentary in the first half of the 10th century. He talks about Khazars, Slavs, Volga Bulgars, and Vikings. They also adopted his diplomatic mission in a very fictional manner in the movie “The 13th Warrior” starring Antonio Banderas and Omar AlSharif, which was solely based on Michael Crichton's novel “Eaters of the Dead.”
Well, I’ve always read it over and over again in its original text, in Arabic. But, let me see what I can find in English, and I’ll compare it with the original text.
Here you go;
www.academia.edu/39530594/Ibn_Fadlan_s_Journey_To_Russia_A_Tenth_Century_Traveler_From_Baghad_To_The_Volga_River_by_Ahmad_Ibn
He actually did, in the original Arabic text with the following words; الصقالبة والروس meaning Slavs and the Rus
And he mentioned the Vikings as northmen using the following word in Arabic; رجال الشمال which translates to northmen.

Ekaterinoslav probably. It was Russian Empire.
There were indeed significant Jewish communities there back then. At the end of the 19th century, the population consisted of 42% Russians, 35% Jews, and 16% Ukrainians.
It was renamed during the Soviet Times into Dnepropetrovsk and since 1991, after the fall of the USSR it's Ukraine. The modern name of the city is Dnipro.
