Sure enjoying the channel we farm about 8000 acres up in saskatchewan Canada red lentils, durum wheat, canola, brown flax. Fun watching how you corn and bean farmers do things it’s interesting. Thanks for the content.
Really good seeing you all slamming the progress in corn belt. Us on the east coast river bottoms been dealing with crusty soils bad this year hammering even emergence. We couple of days of good planting weather and then pounding rains. The low fields remain a mess even with drainage installed. My wife's cousin in western Minnesota messaged last night they a getting hammered with severe storms.
Also wanted to tell you, there in Illinois at renners stock farm in Bellville on August 25 to 27th they r having a 100 years of horsepower show open to the public. Anything and everything for farming will be there. Just in case you did not know
I saw the storms in SD and MN. That was wild. That’s gotta be salt in the wound for those farmers. They’ve barely planted anything. I’ll looking into that big farm show! Will you be there?
@@aTrippyFarmer quite possibly. I gave the info to a neighboring retired dairy farmer as well. We are talking about booking a motel near there and going. He is an avid collector of antique farming everything including a few steamers. So he lit up when I dropped off the info.
Having several size clamp available might help you with leaks. I know that with everything you have on your mind it’s hard to have everything. Great video.
I’ve got a friend running hard up in northern Illinois as well. He said that they weather has completely changed for the better. I hope you all get your crops in!
Awesome video. You'll are very hardworking people. How late did you stay planting before you got home? I have to say you guys are a hell of a team family God bless. Very nice GMC pickup lol lol lol
We are lucky to be able to farm with just family. I didn't stay too late. If we have good weather and aren't two months behind, we avoid killing ourselves with late hours. Thanks for the compliment!
Trippy, we all saw you spill some more red seeds when filling the planter. We are going to have to put Marty on speed dial to report you for that and for running the planter at warp speed in the field. Slow and steady wins the race. Keep it between the rows.👍
Hi how are you? My name is Tomás Kent and I'm from Uruguay!!! I always watch your videos I like them a lot, I'm a farmer myself in my country!!! I would like one day to be able to visit your country and be able to live the experience of feeling and living the customs of an American farmer, so if one day you want to do an exchange let me know and I will show you Uruguay and your United States. I send you a hug.
Count yourselves lucky that the broken wheel weight didn't do damage like it did for me last last fall. On our 9630 the clucking weight actually broke off the valve stem and then I got a flat tire also.
On the line you replaced at around 9:45, keep an eye on the line to the left that somewhat kinked when you inserted the new line (you likely noticed this already when editing). Video may be point of reference for the next leak OR.....Your done and this is a mute point haha. As a disclaimer I got farther in the video and you referenced getting close to May so likely WAY ahead
I appreciate you looking out for us! I was concerned about the kink right after it happened, but it has yet to present an issue. I’m sure it will be a problem eventually!
@@aTrippyFarmer Realistically it will never be an issue. If the other line was crummy on the end into the connector don't hesitate in a pinch to go ahead and cut that line down square back an inch or so to try it either. Hopefully planting is still rolling hard for you guys, we just got things rolling again this week in Nebraska with more storm chances tonight.
@@brandonm6052 I hope things go smoothly for you all. The weather really has changed quick here. I am planting our 3rd to last field of soybeans as well speak… should be done by this evening.
Could it be possible to get the tune guys in that tuned up the tractors on the other channels? ie: Larsons, Fastag etc? just a thought, love your videos! greetings from Australia!
Any chance you might trade up the planter tractors to higher horsepower models? Maybe be able to up the speed and efficiency. Really great video as always Andy, I appreciate the work you put into them!
The corn planter could use another 30+ horsepower and ILS would also be nice. As of right now, we have plans to upgrade the soybean planter and tractor, so the other may not be a priority. It does a good job, but it could run much faster if we had the power!
@@aTrippyFarmer Thanks for replying, but go to bed! It's GO TIME! Looks like we're gonna get rain tonight. All our beans are planted. Just working on corn, now. Godspeed!
My major question is this, If I owned the $400,000 dollar planting rig and had GPS. Am I jealous, hell yeah those are both sweet rigs? Why not do all your end rows on your fields during the day to prevent unwanted Risk of damaging your planter. Then do all the planting in 24hr shifts. Since your using GPS. I grew up farming as a kid, where a person's time plant was limited due too day light hours since you would not be able to see your markers at night. This just make more since to me because in theory it would maximize your time and man or lady power, therefore getting the most out of your investment in GPS technology and equipment. I would make a good brother-in-law just saying. May want to have your sister DM me, lol What's brother doesn't hate a guy heading on his sister., lol. Godspeed!!
You’re idea isn’t too far-fetched. We can plant faster than our ground can dry. Also, the GPS isn’t as full-proof as it may seem. It doesn’t prevent human error, like hitting objects in the field. Very few people are tuned to run during their normal sleeping hours. Unless you are under equipped to an extreme degree, it just isn’t worth the risk. I know some guys that run nicer rigs than this that plant 20 hours a day without switching out. They can cover a lot of ground! Appreciate your comment.
You can buy that line in bulk and cut what you need. Those push/pull connectors are used pretty much everywhere with air and water.
That wouldn't be a bad thing to keep on hand... next year our planter may have hydraulic downforce 😎
Tractors not low on oil... You just need a longer dipstick 😂😂😂
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always!!!!

How do you get ground smooth enough to plant at 12 mph?! That's crazy!
One pass with the field cultivator and our ground is smoother than our roads!

Running a 9510r with a deere 45 ft field cultivator and deere crumbler 12th gear 7.5-8 mph. Full sending
You better keep the fuel truck nearby!!
Was riding with a guy the other day that has a MY22 Deere high speed planter and he was running 16 mph. Singulation never dropped below 99.5
I’ve never seen one pulled that fast, but I know they perform very well at extreme speeds. It would take a lot of power to move that fast!
@@aTrippyFarmer he was using a 9570rx with a drawbar type hitch.
@@roytempleton9320 those Deere 9RXs are the real deal. As long as the planter likes the corn seed size, it’ll run great!
He was planting beans, the suspension cab is really nice
How many acres do y’all farm
A couple thousand!
Is that a 16 row
The corn planter is a 24 row and the soybean planter would be a 16 row, but it's set to split on 15" rows, so it is a 32 row.
hindsight is 20/20, but you should of use Flex-seal tape, lol

should try the other 4WD on the corn planter.... shouldn't have an HP issue then? lol
