We need a documentary or series on this subject in SA..Netflix or showmax ..so everybody concerned can tell their full stories..not series on celebs and their lives.

Please guys learn the local languages and get out of this apartheid language superiority complex. Please, its so disrespectful to hear our African names pronounced wrong by people who are born and bred in Africa. If I were to call Mr Smith, "Mr Smoth", I would quickly be corrected#noexcuse

@@splintervuis the white superiority complex of massacring our names without even the awareness that this is disrespectful. If I were to call you Mr Vinte...you would quickly correct me.

@@angiemac8066 let's not conflate issues, I'm talking about other race groups learning our indigenous languages so they can at least pronounce our names correctly. At least the person has the right syllables with "Smeeeth" and doesn't say "Smoth" which seems like utter disregard of the name. I had to change my name as its been massacred each time to the point where it affected me emotionally. My brother had to change his name to 'fit in' in a multiracial school. This is so serious!! When you massacre our names, it seems like you have no conception of the language or dignity of the person. The "Smeeeeth" is a result of Bantu education which was the inferior education system most blacks born during and immediately after apartheid received. With the poor English people learnt, they are trying their utmost best...but you are not even meeting us halfway. Hai!
With all the resources Whites and Asians have, if you claim to be an African learn the language of that Province , Zulu in KZN, Sotho/Xhosa or Zulu in Gauteng, Xhosa in your favourite Province (WC), its the bare minimum you can do! Learn our indigenous languages...you would be amazed at what this can do for social cohesion!
