43:55 “I’m not somebody who starts with the rhetoric.” ~ Kemi Badenoch This is what’s needed: someone who sees how issues and policies are interrelated and interlocked, and how to make needed changes systematically. A systems analyst who speaks in simple, clear terms we can all understand. I’m an American living in my native California and I would vote for her if I could. 1:11:50 “moral courage and confidence” She knows what our western values are and has the moral courage and confidence to say so. In that, she has the spine of The Iron Lady, but she is indeed her own person.
And she got to where she got not because of her immutable characteristics, but because she's good. Identity politics had nothing to do with her rise. Which is why she's respected. Democrats take note.

@@enzowilson345 Nothing you’ve said is true. Badenoch was almost certainly selected in 2010 as part of David Cameron’s diversification drive for the party because it was “too white” according to him. She is by reputation a terrible constituency mp, a poor cabinet minister, resorting to valid slogans about identity politics as a substitute for any real policy agenda.
She's incredible. The best candidate either party has fielded in many years! Let's hope Labour don't completely destroy the UK before the next election when she gets voted in
What makes anyone think that an economic immigrant, who has said exactly nothing that is her own, and just repeats all the populist talking points of the day, with no particular oratory skill, who was voted as leader because of identity politics (whilst selling us anti-identity politics), to an out of touch, traitorous and so-called “conservative” party, that is responsible for mass immigration on steroids, will do anything differently ?!
That was a genuinely great interview. If the British Labour Party continue to to punish the pensioners, farmers, and other groups, while not doing anything to stop a million immigrants flooding into the country every year, Kemi could well be the next British Prime Minister.

What an edifying and illuminating introduction to Kemi Badenoch for those of us who know little about her! I am inspired and encouraged by her intelligence, common sense and moral courage. Lots to love across issues, though I especially appreciate her opposition to gender ideology, which puts vulnerable young people -- many of whom are gay -- in harm's way, and threatens the rights of all females to their own sports and spaces. She is spot on in stating that the material reality of being female is a powerfully life-shaping fact, not some abstraction that trans-identified males can put on and take off like a jacket. Thanks for this wonderful interview; I hope her star continues to rise and that she one day becomes Prime Minister. If only we had a leader like Badenoch in the United States!
Top interview Bari. It's great to see long interviews aimed at understanding the interviewee in detail. Not sure why this is so rare but it is. Much kudos to you and your team. I now feel I have a truer understanding of a key political figure (kemi) in my country, thank you.
That was a great interview! Kemi was forthright, thoughtful, and definitely has a vision for her country. I pray Kemi Badenoch is successful for the sake all the citizens of the United Kingdom.
There is only one Margaret Thatcher, there can be no 'next'. If Badenoch wants to fill those high heels she needs to grab the Conservative Party by the neck and shake them back to reality. Then CONVINCE the general public to SEE that they HAVE changed, OR we vote Farage.
The one huge big fatal flaw in the current so-called ''Conservative'' Party is that the vast majority of them are just NOT ''Conservatives'' in ANY real serious, shape or form & it's even worse in the current Conservative Parliamentary Party of a meagre 121MPs or whatever it is exactly, with nearly ALL of them NOT real & proper ''Conservatives'' either, but instead ONLY some kind of Dem Lib, Liebour types but for sure, just NOT ''Conservatives'' & so what chance can they ever have if a so-called ''Conservative'' Party is NOT ''Conservative'' for goodness sake?
She did not come up with the comparison herself. And Faragegege? The guy who brought Brexit and then effed off to the EU with his German wife? Typical politician with luxury beliefs - "policies for you, but not for me".
Kemi Badenoch and Katharine Birbalsingh are two black women who will revitalize Britain because they are those immigrants who came to UK for the UK values not for the value of UK pound. I pray for them to win!

Now I have seen it I am glad she didnt succumb to the, starkly delusional, Petersonian line that "we just need Christianity". No, we do not,. We need precisely what Kemi outlines - a compassionate and principled British value set that is not frightened to stand up for itself and puts Brits first and foremost. Oh, and Kemi, if you read this, neither god not his followers are interested in agnosticism, they want belief. Indeed, the god in question has an eternity of conscious torment in fire for anyone who does *not* affirm belief. "Abide in me or depart into everlasting fire". Superstitions like this are not the answer. They also happen to not be true. Other than that, excellent stuff. Now lets get on with the business of communicating these ideas to lay people and get Starmer - the Islamist enabler - out.

Her comments on high skill immigration resonated so much with me. I'm not British or European but did my university career in the UK, got a PhD in Particle Physics and have lots of data engineering and software development experience as a result. While going through Uni I had to renew my visa 4 times because for some reason the student visa plans don't align to the course lengths declared by the university (3 years for a 4 year program), pay 700 GBP each time, and wait for 6 months while I do my university course without being able to leave the country (they take your passport while your applying). After finishing uni I went out to look for a job, and even though companies were desperate to hire people with my background, the amount of money and red tape that companies needed to go through to hire a foreigner was too much for most SMEs. I ended up going across the water to Ireland where my visa application was expedited because of my background and I started working within a few weeks of getting the role. Prospective immigrants should have to be vetted to make sure you aren't bringing in people that might commit crimes, or not contribute to the country, or displace an equivalently capable local. But also you should make it make sense. If there's a shortage of local talent, don't put more barriers in the way to bringing in talent from outside. In my case, they'd already spent the time and effort to educate me so why not keep me and other folks like me. Makes no sense.
Both Britain and America have lost touch with the concept of what Americans used to call “The Melting Pot“. When you immigrate to a new country, your cultural history certainly comes with you, but you’re immigrating for a reason. It’s crucial that you value your new country and culture enough to want to melt into it.

If only Kemi had been leading the Conservatives years ago - the UK could have avoided the absolute catastrophe it's now undergoing. I hope she can bring sanity back to England!
43:55 “I’m not somebody who starts with the rhetoric.” ~ Kemi Badenoch
This is what’s needed: someone who sees how issues and policies are interrelated and interlocked, and how to make needed changes systematically.
Kemi Badenoch' s mother travelled to UK to give birth to her, then returned to Nigeria with her immediately once she got the e British citizenship, she spent her childhood in Nigeria and returned to UK at16 only, do you think that she will be loyal to UK wholeheartedly? It will be a big threat if she is elected as prime minister
She has shown more loyalty to the UK than most of her party
@@enzowilson345
Nothing you’ve said is true.
A bright educated original mind. I will love watching her rise!
That was a genuinely great interview. If the British Labour Party continue to to punish the pensioners, farmers, and other groups, while not doing anything to stop a million immigrants flooding into the country every year, Kemi could well be the next British Prime Minister.
Now This Is what a potential “female” presidential or prime ministerial candidate ought to be - an accomplished, pull up by the bootstraps kind of person who makes you focus on the issues rather than her gender.
There is hope for Uk. Current regulations forcing bright, young and wealthy people to leave the country

What an amazing woman! Looking forward to seeing her as Prime Minister!
Call "woke" what it has actually come to mean: cultural Marxism.
Wish we had someone like her leading the U.S. What an inspiring leader.
Love her! Thanks for your great interview/conversation with Leader Badenoch. I learned a lot and appreciate both of you. Thanks again.
Bingo. Tories=Republicans. Reform=MAGA.
Many like myself won't give them another opportunity and will be voting Reform anyway. The Tories have had too many opportunities.

Kemi Badenoch and Katharine Birbalsingh are two black women who will revitalize Britain because they are those immigrants who came to UK for the UK values not for the value of UK pound. I pray for them to win!
She came exactly for the U.K. pound! What are you talking about ?!
It is a known fact that Badenoch’s mother gave birth to her in the U.K. for citizenship. People like her aren’t particularly loyal to any one place so the English, Welsh, Scots and N Irish won’t accept her - unless they are part of the globalist elite traitor class.
Badenoch floated from Nigeria to the U.K. to get on. She would have kept going if she couldn’t make it here because she has no particular loyalty to Britain, other than it did her well to stay.
Sunak too was a globalist. His grandparents are from India, family moved to Africa, then to the UK and he has a US visa in his back pocket. These people aren’t loyal to one country. They go where it suits them financially.
Britain needs a person who is loyal through and through as a leader. The Brits won’t vote for her, just like they didn’t vote for Sunak. The Tories are completely out of touch. They would have done better to take Jenrick who spoke of mass deportations. However, they went with identity - again!!

Great interview and a great intro for Ms. Badenoch for us Americans. Will def be looking forward to her political career in the years to come!
And she is a badass❤❤❤I loved her tenacicy and piercing comments.
I like Kemi, and i am just at the start of this so itll be great to hear what she has to say.
She's been destroyed by Starmer, she helped to open the doors to mass immigration...
Bari and Kemi, for me you share a remarkably similar trajectory in my estimation these past 5 years or so.
At first interesting
Then disappointing... but
Thanks to this excellent interview...
I now rate both of you VERY highly
Good luck to you both
Uk guy 🇬🇧
You should get Pierre Poilievre on! He is the next likely PM of Canada, a country with similar problems to the UK.
What problems would they be?
I’m in Canada. We have insanely high taxes, high inflation, poor economy, Islamist takeover, out of control immigration changing the national character, mass antisemitism, censorship and inappropriate indoctrination of children and young students in schools with our tax dollars.
Pierre could learn from her. I will vote for him, but he needs to soften the tone and drop the gimmicks.

@@rathernotsay1657you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about
Her comments on high skill immigration resonated so much with me.
1:13:00 This is 100% Australia. Almost every new job created under the present administration is either "public service" or government-dependent.
