Great idea, and good demo! About a year ago I made it a mission to find several kinds of stovetop or over fire breads, some simple, some with leavening, flatbreads and simple breads. I have a journal where I have put recipes and ideas on how to use my preps in case I am otherwise occupied or just not here. (Anything can happen.)
And it really is as easy as that . I was taught this in the ACF , donkey's years ago , exactly as i remember , and long before i even knew what flat bread was (i was 13 , 14 at the time) . Absolute minimum of bare tools , basically mess tins , fingers , and an open fire . To cook , we wrapped them round a stick , debarked of course . Cant remember how long they took , to cook , or even what they tasted like . Thanks Ana for bringing this one to the fore . It is basic to the extreme , but very worthwhile .
I used to make paratha type bread with this basic mix, left after mixing for an hour to develop the flour, then roll thinky, brush with melted fat (butter) roll up tightly, and form a spiral, rest again then roll out an cook on a griddle. It should come out like bready flakey pastry.
Very good video thank you for doing it. I think different flour types will give different flavor results. I have stocked up a range of flours which can be mixed as well.
Great, simple things are best. I'm looking forward to more simple recipes from you.

Lols,I used to make these when I couldn't afford any shopping! Added lard to mine, or rather dripping left over from roasting meat if I had any.

Thank you.
Regarding butter, what type would you suggest using that doesn't contain chemicals? 🤔🙏
I would suggest making your own if possible, I have a video on that in back to basics 😊
I'd add bicarb and seasalt--
Definitely salt.
You can absolutely, but I was sticking with original 2 ingredients recipe 😊
