What evidence can be provided for the claim that Chinese exporters are shipping honey in “lead barrels”? It seems unlikely. I don’t think lead barrels even exist. They’d be wildly impractical due to the weight and the fact that lead is a very weak metal that cracks when cold and moved or bumped.

I agree that locally produced honey bought direct from beekeepers is the smartest way to buy it. However if you look at the labour that bees put into providing one teaspoonful of honey, the high orice seems nothing.

Hi lovely, thank you so much for making this video, I watch them all! I've tried making the spreadable butter twice now. However both times once it has been in the fridge it kind of 'flakes' or 'curls' off into little pieces rather than being spreadable. Any ideas why this might be happening? x

That sounds awful. For some reason allotments either attract odd people or bring out the worst in some people. The site manager of our allotment site is a miserable bully who thinks everyone should be there 24/7 and there shouldn't be a dandelion in sight. He reports people to the council who then evict people. He's also sexist and says inappropriate things. The committee all fawn over him because he lives nearby and can fix things. I'm thinking of giving up my allotment as I dislike seeing him and hate all the stupid rules such as about hedge heights etc. The council, committee and site manager are very fussy but not helpful so it doesn't feel v positive, they remind me of Ofsted in schools.

Thanks for the heads up on that. I'm glad you bought the Manuka honey from Lidl, it is about £5 per jar there, but I've seen it on sale at Morrisons for £15 Jar.

Avoid any seed oils like the plague, sunflower, rapeseed, canola etc etc, your literally eating poison. Lard and tallow saved countless people during the great depression.

The Supermarkets have been selling poison food for many years now Most items have cancerous ingredients in them like Pepsi toothpaste,Mouthwash, skin care products also human flesh in other foods We no longer get Trading Standards checking products in Supermarkets anymore or all these places would of been shutdown until they cleared these products out of the shops

This would explain why I havd serious allergies now .

a fiend says that most morrocan honeys are totally organic local bees in the hills where the bees fly around the untouched plants,,no pestcides etc,,but they keep most of it for themselves!and alsouse it as a mecicine,,for thousands of years ,so its quite rare and expensive .if,,,you can buy any?

Great work exposing the honey scam! Unfortunately, a lot of small producers are buying in as well, so size is not a reliable indicator. One of the best UK producers is the Northumberland Honey Company who as well as their own branded honey supply London 5* hotels and even candles for St Paul's Cathedral! 100% made in Northumberland, by local bees and local people! You can do tastings and guided tours of their hives too which is amazing. Worth checking out their website and UA-cam!

Hang about, is this about honey or is this China bashing...? I don't known what China is up to regarding honey but if the honey is coming from a third party isn't there a possibility that the third party is the one that should be looked at in the first instance... It's called tracing-back to the source! China bashing will not help the people - it will however serve and agenda!
