This is still the best keyboard typing test I've heard imo
Holy shit... Sounds amazing by far one of the best builders out there esp with the videos. Happy to be a part of the Canadian community.
Wow that sound is amazing, its so deep and so rich. One of the best sounding boards I ever heard
I came back to this video and it’s still one of the best sounding boards I’ve ever heard

i was in the struggle to decide what switches to get but now i know
Cherry switches are the best, change my mind :)
Velvet its not. Your mind is changed now
@@VelvetKeyboards cherry browns are the best, then JWKS, then Silks,
@@ooogabooga2364 isnt silks a JWK?
@@jdapoet3138 they have the best sound
I need to see a full explanation on how you lube your stabs.. those sound far too good
Aluminum sounds crazy holy crap
Holy shit even better than the oring mount imo, this sounds insane.
It sounds AMAZING
Omg that sound
Sounds so good top mounted I mean damn like it sounda as good as the janev2 with the carbon fiber plate
Very nice.
so good so good so good
I wonder where you have to put the camera to achieve this angle :)

Spacebar sound is deep and board nice what are the mouse?
Wooooooow
Awesome video :) What's the artisan keycap?
The sculpt is called Pyro
Hey, I love this sound, it’s literally amazing. I have a question though, is the ghv4 you use the og zeal ghv4 or is it some other mixture, if it is another mixture, could you please tell me how u made it. Thanks!
there is only 1 ghv4 and thats from zeal. any other vendor that sells ghv4 is likely a poorly made imitation
@@VelvetKeyboards ok thank you, your sound tests are amazing! I really want to try ghv4 but can’t get my hands on it, ig I’ll have to stick with 205g0 for now. Do you know of any similar lubes? Or is ghv4 the only lube that can dampen sound like this.
@@adrith5722 lube heavy
@@adrith5722 Ive been looking for a good mixture for a while to no avail, but carbon gs2 has been the closest thing to real ghv4 according to many community members
@@julianbober6035 gs2 is definitely the way to go
Was this using a 1.6mm pcb or 1.2mm? This sounds too crazy
more hand videos pls uwu
taeha 2.0??
Any chance you have an exstra alu plate for the Jane v2 ce?
Would love to buy one.
Where's mine

What if cherry would start prelubing their switches (like the alpacas)?
Idk but most enthusiasts do not want there switchea coming lubed we want to lube them ourselves but if they did it super light like the alpacas it cant hurf
@@reviewforthetube6485 prelubed switches sound more consistent imo
@@---sc3yh yeah I'm not used to people saying that I'm used to people beggining for awitches but to come prelubed look st the holy pandas by drop they came prelubed and finally there making them unlubed because of all fhe complaints of prelubed switches being so overlubed and inconsistent but hey to each there own lately tho companies have been not prelubign switches as much because of the complaints mabye in time they will get it just right buf me I def prefer to lube my own switches
@@reviewforthetube6485 switches like gateron yellows, alpacas or aliaz arent overlubed. In fact, theyre rather underlubed (just enough to lube them with your own lube without cleaning the switch in any way)
I do not like any prelube at all in my switches, although I understand why some people would like it
is GHv4 a good lube. I read that since its a mix with oil it wont last as long compared to all grease based lubes like 205g0 and tribosys 3204. I hope someone gives me an answer, I really want to try GHv4 on my tangerines but I'm not convinced. might just go 3204.
what’s the main difference between 205g0 and ghv4? would be great to see a side by side comparison
205g0 has a thicker consistency, ghv4 flows down the vial if you flip it upside down while 205g0 does not

Did you add like a layer of foam?
Nah i dont use foam
uh yeah i have this keyboard too its called logitech mk270 i think idk
Do you do anything special with your mic settings? It sounds great btw!
Nope! Just place it right behind keyboard

Questions should i use retooled or vint for my next build? Got both of em
use retooled, its more consistent. vints are a meme unless you get really good ones which are hard to find

custom cable i made
Did you cherry pick retooled blacks and if so how many did you buy?
nah I dont really cherry pick.
Where'd u buy the cable if u dm?
built it myself using parts from zapcables
Where do you buy the retooled blacks? Im not trying to get ripped off
Lucas Grant arrow.com sometimes has sales where its like 22 cents per switch
where did u buy ur retooled blacks? I've heard of people getting good batches and bad batches that are just scratchy af.
「ちみもうりょう」 arrow.com
did you use any foam?
Nope
What do you like about gateron yellow springs? It's weight or something else? Thank you in advance :)
It gives a stiff and solid feeling to the switches, hard to describe
Gimme gimme gimme
Did you use ghv4 for the spring?
nah i use 3204
Quick question, but in top mount, does the center of the board overall sound better? Like 4 screws on top and 4 on bottom, would the center sound best since i found when i built my mech27 the center sounded great but the left and right sounded kind of bad.
Yes the board feels very consistent throughout. The mech27 does not have flex cuts in the plate if i remember correctly and has different mounting points which may help explain your situation
Pinkies rise up
Where do you get you GHv4 lube?
Kevin Lam discontinued now unfortunately
@@VelvetKeyboards yeh i thought so but seems like you have so much of it :(
Hello, my goal is to replicate the sound of this build
2 questions,
1) did you put any foam under you plate or at the bottom of your case
2) did you band aid mod your stabs ?
no foam and no band aids
good luck unless you own a tgr, what board do u have?
How does their smoothness compare to gateron black inks? I like the sound of the retooled cherry more but I'm worried about the smoothness of the switch.
What lube the spring?
3204
