I like this video
What kind of vibrations are there now after installing this k20 pump? , because this. Pump don't have balance shafts, what performance gains are u feeling after this k 20 oil pump? Or the oem pump was fine?
Pepsi blue!!!
Good luck on your build , just for insight why not buy a fail safe kit by dragcartel or a new oil pump chain
Thanks! I actually had a new chain but it was for a k24 oil pump (so I ran the used one) and I found out about the drag cartel chain protector after I installed everything. I do plan on getting it tho.
Not sure if it's too late to ask but with the 50* VTC on this have you run into any issues with valve to piston clearances? My tuner says limiting the degree to 42* throughout higher rpm's with k-pro works fine and that I won't have to worry and will get all the midrange/top end improvements. I'm on a bone stock k24a other than RBC manifold, type s oil pump and type s headers. Would really appreciate some insight into this, thanks
I've heard this as well. I havent run into any issues personally but my engine isnt even in the car or tuned yet. It makes sense that it IS possible but as long as you have a tuner experienced in Honda K series you should be fine. Sounds like they know what they're doing!
@@sleeperworksgarage i have blown an engine due to this mistake.dont use a 50 degree on a k24.the tuner can limit it to 40 or so.but in a mis-shift it will full advance leading to piston snapping the valves because engine is coupled with transmission after all.
Its a 10 min job.just open the vtc gear cover and put a metal structure in it,the size depends upon how much you want to limit the vtc.but the pins jhst 35$ for three.so just buy them and put one in
@@A.QPerformance where to get those pins?
Freaking clean K
I am just open 2007 CRY oil pump chain has two link are dark colors I cant point our where the links point. how to align the pump chain. please let me know some more detail. Thanks.
The chain links will never line up. You have to line up the timing Mark's on the engine. The colored links are for installing the chain.
Do people replace the head gasket is it recommended??? Or am I set if I got it from hmo
A compression test will let you know how well your combustion chamber is sealing.
Question, do these engines have a balance shaft? And does it have to be removed to put on the k 20 oil pump?
It's a part of the k24 oil pump. The k20 oil pump doesnt have the balance shafts.
@@sleeperworksgarage not all k20.
K20z3,k20a EuroR and some k20a3/z2 Have balanceshafts
You absolutely right!
How you remove cranck pulley you did it with impact gun?
Yes sir! With a weighted socket for honda crank bolts. Really helps out!!
Have you tunned the engine yet? Looking to do the same on a k24jdm
I havent. It's not even in the car yet. I've been trying to get clients taken care of. I havent had any time to spend on my car. Coming soon tho...
Please!!! Can this oil pump coversion work on a K24Z2 engine?
I'm not sure. I dont see why not but I personally have never done it.
Subscribe for the knowledge, much appreciated sir!
There are now ebay/china tensioner kit.dont use that.just use Honda Japan made parts
Maybe this person used additives to keep the engine clean and in return it busted the plastic on the pump.
Maybe. Idk I'm just glad I opened it up and caught it! 😁
Be careful using 50 degree vtc on a k24.a mis-shiftand engine good bye
