Bored and viewing older posts. I continue to learn “stuff “. I have a digger w 2 different augers that was part of a buy out package. Been kinda scared to play with it. Your video gave me more confidence. Thanks Chief. Got a couple more months before I pretend farm, wish me luck.
Farming on a small scale is the way the world is going. We are going to put up a ton of food this fall. We ordered a freeze dryer.
@@TonysTractorAdventure I am just going to try and raise some deer food down on the river. The wife of 50 years passed about 5 months ago and I am struggling to find purpose. She was a war widow w 3 kids married to a professional soldier (cannon cocker). We sort of understood each other and made it work. The youngest daughter was born in GR and her and her husband are here in FL w me to “take care of”me. I am an equipment junkie w/o farming knowledge. I do know tools and pretty much how to use them. I will offer my services to any of my MI locals that want tillage or food plot help. Gotta learn somehow and pushing 76 sorta running against the current! One day at a time Chief. Thanks for sharing your skills.
God Bless you. My heart goes out to you. Purpose of life is a beautiful thing.
Great advice! Can’t wait to see the foam in action, that looks interesting!
It is some impressive stuff.
Great video. The little things make the difference.I just bought a RK25 and it is my first tractor.Your videos are more helpful to me than u know. Thanks
Glad to help! I appreciate your comment.
What a time saver Tony. We had an old used Lister one which probably paid for itself on the first day. Thanks for posting.
It sure beats the hand post hole diggers.👍😁👍
Great safety point on the PTO safety for sure 😉👍 Great video coming from a great team workers Cheers 😉👍🍻
I appreciate you, my friend. It only takes one time to overlook safety and regret it.
@@TonysTractorAdventure Yes in deed
I unfortunately have too many examples to support your comment 😢 Have a great day CHeers 🍻
Tony I'm loving ur new truck looks good.
Me too, brother. I miss the ride of the half ton, but the Cummins diesel pulls like an ox.
Thanks for the great tips. We just started our tractor adventure yesterday actually lol
You are going to have a great time! 👍
@@TonysTractorAdventure hope so, we plan to put as much of as we can on UA-cam not sure how that will go lol
I just did the same video about 2 months ago. I agree with the pto hook up too. It’s surprising how many people use the post augers at full throttle. Even a 2 man auger that handles a 12” auger from Home Depot only has a 5hp engine. Does not take a lot of power to dig a big hole. My ls 122 handles a auger like a champ, and eats roots right up too. Done a couple fence holes in a brushy wooded area with no issue. Most people rev high, then the auger drills and becomes stuck. Low rpm will warn you of trouble and keep you from getting sucked in.
I did a post-hole digger video a few years ago, but I always go to revisit. Slow wins
@@TonysTractorAdventure probably my favorite attachment to run actually. I have a lot of fun with those things. 🤣
Are you lowering the rear 3 point while digging or did you lower the 3 point all the way initially?
Another good and informative video Tony. Enjoyed.
Thank you, my friend.
Guess you got a big boy truck. Lol. I just noticed. Dang i enjoyed the half ton life lol. Keep it up buddy
The dealership knew I was interested in a Diesel. They offered almost what I paid for the gas truck. Crazy world.
Great Video as usual. I'll definitely be using your Trick this weekend, I've got three corner posts to set. I can't wait for the video on the foam. I'm sick of using concrete.
Make sure it is the one rated for structural. It is the same stuff they use for setting utility poles.
I’ve used a hole digger a couple times and both times they was junk cobbled together and barely got the job done lol thanks for sharing buddy
I can appreciate that. We had that post-hole digger on the farm growing up.
Nice video!
Thank you.
I was wondering what that stuff was. Foam replacement for concrete? Interesting! I'd like to see how well it holds. Thanks Tony! 🚜
The power companies have been using it for years. It is not new but new to homeowners.
I need to play with my PTO drop rate. I’ve got my digger stuck a couple times. I found myself lifting quickly and jerky. Knew there had to be a better way.
This works!
Awesome tip! Thanks
Thank you for saying so.
Great tip on cleaning out the holes! I have never seen that done before and I've been around people drilling post holes several times.
If a clean bottom is needed, this works well.
Sir. Another great Videos. I have 2021. T25. I’m looking for post hole digger. What brand or size is one in video? I’m in New Mexico n we have Tractor Supply stores. They didn’t think the T25 PTO was big enough to handle their brand of augers. If you could point me in right direction I’d appreciate it, also coming up on my 50hr service real soon. Thank you for those video as well. Thank you sir. David Balenquah
The tractor supply brand will be fine. I appreciate your feedback and thank you for your support.
Thank u sir. I’ll go wit the county line
Lessons learned. You only get this by experience. Thanks Tony for some good advice.
You are welcome.
Thumbs up from Ann Arbor Mi VA Hospital (fighting Lyme} Morgellons Rm A501A
I hope you feel better soon.
Looks like you have some nice soil there. There are so many rocks in our neck of the woods, using a post hole digger is not as easy.
I have been there when we lived in Middle Tennessee. We do have great Asa soil.
I want to know more about that PTO connector you was using in this video. Where can I find info on it? Thanks
I put the PTO quick adapter info in the description of the video.
It is made by Small Farms Innovations.
HAY TONY DID I WIN!!! LOL JUST KIDDIN... KEEP PUSHIN ON TONY... PEACE
I appreciate you, my friend.
I'm trying to find a post hole.digher like that one. Do you have a link for it?
I don't. I got it years ago
What rpm's are you at when digging?
I run the auger slowly. I drop the three point hitch a little at a time.
Man those safety trolls has got every youtuber scared to death lol
Yep, keyboard warriors! They sit behind their keyboards and feel superior for a second or two.. I point out safety stuff, but we work. Hanging trusses today.
You are fortunate to have zero rocks there because things would not go so easy where I live. I’ve used the hand held powered augers and you aren’t moving an inch deeper until you hand dig the rock out and return to the auger over and over. I’m thinking to get one for my tractor but I’m sure it still means stopping every damn 3” to breaker bar a rock out before going any further. That is pure soil where you live I didn’t even see any rocks at all in that.
I mean this with no disrespect but it wasn't fortune. This area was planned due to soil conditions and low cost of living. We've lived in other places that are horrendously rocky. I don't want to try to build a homestead amongst that.
2:52 do as I say, not as I do 😂
We have to many rocks here to use post hole diggers
It happens! We have pretty awesome dirt here. I have lived in rocky areas, and just putting in a fence post is a job.
