Glad to see this video. I'm drinking the Ardbeg 10 year right now. I'm not a usually in the mood for a peated scotch, but when I am, I go for Ardbeg 10 or the Bruichladdich Port Charles 10 (usually Ardbeg, because it's so much less expensive for nearly the same quality and taste. I would love to support Lagivulin, but not as long as they insist on the deceptive practice of adding caramel color. They have no respect for their customers, so I return the sentiment.
Sounds like the sheep on Islay had a lot to say as well. 🐑 Also, the excitement at the tasting is palpable. Big ups to Colin, who seems like a real genuine gent!
Ardbeg is still one of my favorite distillers, I began my whisky journey with the ardbeg 10 lagavulin 16 and Laphroaig quarter Cask, where the most people begin with softer ones.. I also do like highlanders and speysiders as well but I go always bag to Islay whiskys.. So ardbeg go forth with the good job 💪
That’s highly debatable .. I love Ardbeg, but I wouldn’t rank it as the best distillery on Islay, and for sure I wouldn’t call it the best distillery in the world. But I know Ardbeg and Laphroig have many hardcore fans.
Something an extremely irritating comes when I hear German man talking English. Please don’t get me wrong. There’s no racism in here. No matter how linguistically reach is his expression in English for some reason I still can’t comprehend that distinct German accent. Whiskey is stuff that is tightly linked to Scottish Gaelic culture with proper Scottish accent. My comprehension doesn’t allow me to accept generosity of this German speaking man even though he does a great job. Just odd impression when it goes about German Man is talking about Scottish Cultural Heritage what Scottish Whiskey is.
Well, my friend, It's actually "whisky" not "whiskey" in Scotland. Please pay proper attention to that next time - it's extremely irritating to read. :D :D
You’re absolutely right, the volume is too low (especially at the beginning), just ignore the “know-it-all” geniuses. “Turn up the volume” - *krch krch* .. Usually whisky lads aren’t that dense.
