Journey from Highway 395 to Alabama Hills: Our Epic Super Pacific Adventure!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 лют 2025
- This is the first time I've been able to camp overnight in Alabama Hills! Even with part of the road washed out and a missed detour I've had the best experience ever visiting Alabama Hills just outside of Lone Pine California. Plus the Super Pacific Camper made it super nice to setup and relax!

Great video Duane. Thanks for sharing. Drone footage was awesome as always.
Thanks so much Chris and thanks for watching. Yeah I was really happy with the drone footage. I’m definitely getting things dialed in!!!
Epic camping spot! Great video 🎉
Thanks man. It was a really nice spot and I’m still really happy I had that area all to myself - and on a Saturday to boot!!! Thanks for watching!
Beautiful views ❤🎉🏜
Cindy!!!! There you are. I was bummed when I didn’t see a comment from you on this video! 👍🏻🙂
@dustyroaddestinations sorry. Have been sick, so trying to catch up.🤗
Sorry to hear that Cindy, hope you're feeling better!
Great job. You got some really good shots this time. Nothing is more refreshing than a ride up the 395
I think 395 is like a hidden gem in California. It’s a beautiful route! Thanks for the feedback and for watching! 👍🏻🏕️
wow you got some really amazing shots in this one, the camera looking up at the clear night sky with the stars slowly moving, its like watching the world slowly turn before your eyes. Then the drone following your truck as you were leaving was great. What a beautiful area
Thanks so much Tyler! Yeah I was really happy with the night sky video. I think those are my best ones yet. It really is a beautiful area. The weather was PERFECT. Most of the time the weather is very windy and there are a ton of people out there. To have that area to myself was wonderful!!! Thanks for watching.
Great video honestly by the end, I was ready for more, the shots were all captivating, looking forward to the next video!
Outstanding! Thanks for the feedback and watching!
Glorious scenery and stars, Duane! Thank-you. You and your channels are very inspiring.
Thanks so much for saying that and for watching! I really felt I did a good job on the stars. My previous attempt were ok but this was better. I have another thing I want to try the next time I head out that might even make them better!
That's awesome! It's such a beautiful surreal place to camp. I used to camp there all the time until, well, instagram got a hold of it. I haven't been through there since the new restrictions were put in place. It looks like they left a few campsites open at least. It was getting absolutely destroyed so i'm glad they were able to slow down the usage, even though I miss it terribly.
Yeah, unfortunately i learned about it AFTER it was trashed. I think BLM has done a really good job of turning things around. Like I mentioned this was the first time I was able to actually find a spot and it was on a Saturday. Don't get me wrong there were still a lot of people and rigs out there BUUUT that little area I found was perfect. There was actually 2 areas that would have been nice, the one I was out and another one just off another leg of the route. Thanks for watching! 👍🏻🏕
You had everything in this one, insane drone shots, beautiful landscapes, off roading, a night sky time lapse. Loved it.
Thanks man I appreciate that! It was a nice trip. The weather was perfect too minimal wind and a great temperature!
First viewer again.. I guess getting the alerts when you post makes it work well…
Thanks Tim I really appreciate you watching and being the first!!! 👍🏻
lol. You found one my favorite spots to camp in the Alabama Hills. The drone footage is great.
Nice! I kinda just stumbled onto that spot. It was really nice and secluded. I did have a couple hike into my area on foot but they were nice and was wondering how long I was going to stay. I think they loved to that spot after I left. Thanks for the feedback on the drone footage!
Amazing views ❤❤❤! Thank you for such great content.
Thanks so much for watching Jorge! That was a fun trip!
Nice bro 😊😊
Thanks for watching and the feedback! 👍🏻🏕️
Great video man
Thanks for watching Nate and for the feedback! Much appreciated! One of these days we need to meet up for one of these adventures!
Nice setup; will you pls let me know who makes that sun shade? Thx
Thanks for watching! Yeah it was just a Aquaquest Defender tarp 10x7 with tent poles - amzn.to/4aeCKWL I used that in a couple of videos. I've ended up buying a 270 awning during the holiday sales. But you can't beat the tarp setup for the price and flexibility! Thanks again!
Light and easy makes it a win. Thanks for the share. Stay safe amigo@@dustyroaddestinations
Nice spot!
It really was! Thanks for watching!
Nice video man!
Thanks for watching Chris, and taking a break in your day to watch it!
I'm intrigued by the Super Pacific, but wonder: how do you keep bugs out?
That is a really great question Mike! For me my location choices tend to not have too many bugs so it hasn't been an issue. However, when I first got it and spent that first week around the PWN I ended up using a Thermacell MR300 and it worked pretty good - well at least once it started. It took about 10 minutes for it to really start working.
I've seen other people use magnetic screen door covers to make it so that you can close off and still have airflow.
The mistake I do tend to make - did it last night - is when it gets dark I'll turn on a white light and it just attracts the bugs. My lights have a yellow/orange mode that helps A LOT with that - but you have to remember to not make that mistake.
