Its truly is wonderful to see how Port of Spain people cherish the national instrument and its wonderful to see my child hood friend and pan player baggie one of the oldest member still going strong
I love the arrangement deserved to win ..music making sense.. did not visit POS for J'Ouvert stayed in the East but would not make that mistake again..good lord sweetness.....Zanda did a job on this song..beautiful..
I enjoy watching this ~ even though it is painful and torturous ~ to be so far away from having a damn good time. I love how the followers are simply gliding along to the music.
Despers and Phase II, took two of the most heart-filled, heavily-laden and powerful songs of the decade, and left them standing naked in the pouring rain, and when the irons rang out, holy hell, not even the bells of St. Mary's could hold a candle to that sound. The iron players need to be heard more. Despers put that calypso through the wringer and got blood out of a stone.
#carnivalTrinidadandTobago2020 #Desperadoes #Jouvert. Like a Bridge over troubled waters Imagine this .. leading up to this Weeks of rigorous practice Every night practice in the panyard till every note for the Big Yard is perfected Then Panorama and you win theBig Bands at the Dimance Gras And on Carnival Morning. Early.. before the break of dawn Even tho you haven’t slept more than a couple hours You take the people chip by chip through the city around the main roads and the narrow streets And you serving sweet sweet sweet #Steelpanmusic. And just when yuh think your hands too tired The engine room the iron rhythms start to ramajay This is Carnival euphoria.. Is a drug that money cyar buy.. That kinda high, that even when yuh not home fuh years Is like you teleport from foreign
This is beautiful, you get to hear all the different pans, but I have a problem, when I first came here to play pan I loved the Bomb competition, I looked forward to it each year. On carnival Monday morning as you get on to Fredrick street you would bust out your bomb tune, as back then the competition on that side street by Woodford square, by the church, so from Park Street it was band after band, the Bomb was speed it was tempo, not you hear a band in Monday morning it's as tho they now learn the song. It's just a slow jam, why is that? Is it because more time is spent on the panorama tune? It's sad tho
