  • Last two days in Florida...after almost 3 weeks in North America, here comes the time to go back to France. I had a blast! From St Louis at the end of July, to the NorthWest, and a bit of Canada during the first nine days of August, to Florida for my last days... it was wonderful. Thank you to my friends, my FrenchTastic Family, and my supporters who made it happen. America is Great!

As a natural born American citizen, all I can say is that if I ever had to leave America permanently, I'd be DEVASTATED. So, in that respect, I can understand your sadness. Even though Europe is spectacular, there's nothing like America. We all know you'll be back.
We'll be waiting for you with smiles, happiness, and welcoming hugs. Lets explore more!!!

Hello, I have found your series on America interesting and perceptive. I have been going to France for years and speak a very rudimentary French, however I have always been a tourist and view France through the eyes of a tourist. Last year by bike, I followed my grandfather's WWI footsteps from a photo album taken by him in 1917. This 4 week emotional journey in non touristy areas forced me to speak only French....no English for 4 weeks. It totally changed my view of France. I think the lesson here is your English is exceptional, that enables you to understand us as a culture. Keep the videos coming, they are very insightful even for us Americans.

Never give up..I was 21 when I first went to Hawaii. Visited each island and vacationed there almost every year. Cried every time I left. 40 years later, I live in paradise and haven't left the island in 6 years. Your dreams will come true. ❤😊

Your unbridled love of North America touches my heart, Marie! As far as I'm concerned, you are one of us. I feel your sadness when you depart, and look forward to your return. Another awe-inspiring video! Watching this now in New England as February approaches is particularly pleasant! Marie! I always forget to compliment your music choices in your videos! Love them!

A nice trip. If looking for a place to visit in 2024, you haven’t been to the Carolinas. From historic Charleston SC to Myrtle Beach to the NC Outer Banks to the Blue Ridge Parkway and mountains to Asheville NC and the Biltmore House, there’s a lot to see. Even Charlotte NC with NASCAR racing and the White Water Center, there is a lot to see.

So glad you enjoyed yourself in my home State of Florida. You seemed so happy and relaxed and right at home. I think you should make Florida your home someday. Next time you come back you should visit the crystal-clear blue water springs and check out the Manatees. Dreams do come true, and you can do anything you put your mind to. Stay well and be happy. Hope you make it back soon. Maybe try kayaking next time.

Thanks for taking us on such a wonderful trip Marie. If you get to Florida again, I highly recommend Key West. You'll have a lot of fun.
Perhaps in the autumn, you could come to New England. The foliage is unbelievable. The lakes region and mountains of New Hampshire may be the best places to take it in. A day or two in Boston, Acadia National Park, a little time in Vermont, and the mansions of Newport Rhode Island would be a wonderful kick off to your next American trip.

    Salut Marie 😃 🌅 🦩
A Beautiful day for driving down to Tampa bay , offering breathtaking views , a unique bridge with its tranquil clear waters I see why it's such a popular fishing spot , I like how it lights up green after sunset. You wouldn't think a tragedy ever occurred there.
I liked the easy going vibe of St Petersburg , it's made it into the Guinness book of records for the most sunny days. It looks bliss for beach lovers even if you'll living a little dangerously. Billy's 🌮 were appetizing 😋 I'll pass on the hogfish there overfished as it is , they had quite the display guessing there real. I'm sure you could make a peanut butter 🥧 back home.
When it comes to the weather 🌩️ that makes it all the more exciting as long as there isn't to much flooding & the lines don't go down , but I do hate it after a rainstorm when it's humid & sticky. It's nice cruising around the neighborhoods with that art deco style Florida's famous for , those homes looked Lavish I bet they cost a lot , I was reminded of Barry Gibb who lives in Miami & sometimes waves as the tourists sail by.
Your always jumping for joy visiting aquariums , holy moly that was a massive hammer head , it was very informative , lets hope 🦈 become better understood , there vital to the future of the eco system. I would've skipped the VR experience those headsets give me the creeps. The 🐠 were amazing & baby turtles are always cute , it's remarkable after they've hatched watching them head into the waves. As much as there taken care of & that includes the Mantees, their lives matter just like ours & do belong out in the 🌊 the Otters were so inquisitive & energetic , some people even keep them as pets like Kotsumet , their a handful.
A Texas brisket really something to sink your teeth into , smoking a perfect one seems like an art. It very much looked like you'll had a funpacked roadtrip & savoured every moment , that big flamingo was pretty cool , never mind about feeling bitter sweet about leaving , your not alone in not wanting a holiday to end , it's only natural it's life easy come easy go , be like the clouds, your find that special place worth moving to while continuing to travel that brings out the best in you , it's True doing what you love the most with Generosity is the key to happiness.
Merci beaucoup Marie , superb editing & music , it's been wonderfully rewarding going along with all you'll Adventures .Let's make you an Honorary American for Life. Stay warm & take care , catch yer later 🥰 🌴✌️
God bless Texas & all the Truckers 🦅 🇺🇸

Florida life is the best life! I live in Louisville, Kentucky, but my grandparents have had a condo on SanDestin (Destin, FL) since I was born, and my favorite memories in life were made there! I spent two months there every single summer from the time I was born until I graduated college. I can’t explain how happy the beautiful Gulf Coast beaches are or how warm and beaut the water is, but it brings me complete happiness just thinking about it. I still go for 3-4 weeks a year, but I sure do miss my summers!!!

Watching this videos really gives me a greater appreciation for Florida, seeing from a foreign perspective is refreshing. I have driven through the Tampa Bay area a lot, it's where I spent many summers visiting family, hitting the beaches, riding the rides, and eating my through Florida's diverse scene. bonjour Marie, je suis si heureuse que vous ayez apprécié vos dernières vacances en Amérique !
So, i do get alittle teary eyed when you say how difficult & emotional it was, when it was time to leave & go back to France. Believe me when i say that, "I understand!" I lived in Europe (Germany) for 8 years & grew to LOVE Europe, & when it was time to leave & move. Well, i really didn't want to leave because Europe was a important time in my life from 15yrs old to 23yrs old. My Girlfriend was a local German Girl, & Germany was where i learned to drive & my 1st car was a 1984 BMW 325i a Euro Spec Car that i also loved, i joined a local German BMW/VW Car Club! My 2nd car was a VW Sirocco 16Valve Turbo that i bought U.S. Spec that i brought with me back home to the U.S. my BMW i gave to my now long ago exGirlfriend!!!

Bonjour Marie! Superman Ice Cream was invented here in Michigan of all places! I think people sleep on seafood tacos. Fish tacos and Shrimp tacos are my favorites (fresh, not fried.) Pro tip: when you get "brain freeze" from something cold, use your tongue to lick the roof of your mouth. 9 times out of 10 it will help alleviate the problem quickly. At the BBQ place, I saw Fried Okra on one of the plates. Did you get to try it? What did you think? I really like fried okra, especially with a rémoulade sauce. Maybe the next time you come in the Summer you can visit the MidWest? Detroit, Chicago, Indianapolis, Minneapolis...are all interesting places to visit (but in warm weather!) Thank you for sharing your adventures with us! Bonne journee! ~Be Blessed

I drive for a living out of Fort Myers and any time the route _forces_ me to take the bridge, I'm dreading it the whole way there. White knuckles, AC on high, left lane only (F that right lane), and about 10 miles under the speed limit, my butt clinched tight the whole time, especially on the incline. I stare at the road the whole way and refuse to look to the side. My worst nightmare. I flinched when I saw it in her video, but I'm so glad she saw so many beautiful parts of Florida. Lakeland is also a beautiful area, but it'll never attract Marie 😃

Sad to see it end, but you have some great memories to take home. I'm sure you'll be able to make another trip to the U.S. soon! 😁

It's a shame you didn't make it up the the Nature Coast, Forgotten Coast and Panhandle...I know it's a lot to do in a short time :) Glad you enjoyed your stay! The water is almost hot in August :P It's hard to cool down from July through Sept, even in the water, UNLESS you find a spring fed river to float in with the gators.

Nice video. You mentioned at the end of the video how the weather changed quickly. When I was in the Bremerhaven germany area in the fall, it was bright sunny, 5 minutes later it was sleeting heavilt. 10 minutes after that it was bright and sunny, 25 miles later it was raining.

If you decide to do a boat tour, go with a glass-botttom boat. Plenty of options available across the state.

If you ever get the chance, you should visit the Florida Panhandle. I'd recommend the drive on US 98 between Panama City to Panacea, which is south of Tallahassee. Apalachicola is a great place to stay to check out the area. Right on the Gulf, lots of great seafood, and a museum commemorating one of the people who helped invent air conditioning.

I'm sure that someone has told you about Bonine for motion sickness (maybe even me in another post!). My husband gets sick on planes, boats and autos - so when we travel he takes one a day and he has no problems.

It's amazing that so many parts of the U.S. are drastically different. Each have a special appeal, but Florida is just on another level. This state is magic (not just the Kingdom) and there are so many towns and cities that are amazing to visit. A transplanted New Yorker who just can't grasp how beautiful it is here. Seeing you happy here (truly giddy maybe) was a great time for me too! That Skyway Bridge? No thanks!!! Everglades National Park next time, Key Largo and Key West road trip too, and back to Disney World for sure. This was great.
