This is beautiful. I am LDS (Mormon) and we fast every month for 24 hours with no food or drink. We take the money we would have spent on our meals and we donate it to the poor. Fasting is awesome! Good for you!

Susan Peirce Thompson- Beautiful Vlog! I don't have enough words to tell you how much I appreciate your honesty and vulnerability. I am sending you so much love and good wishes as you explore this area during your fast. You being you, so honest and raw and real, is a HUGE part of what makes me feel at home in Brightline Eating and keeps me believing that this tribe and this way of life is truly for me. xoxoxoxoxo

Hi from England, Love your work, we seem to be on very similar paths. I figured 20 years ago to be free from bulimia and binge eating I must learn to think, feel and act as a lean, health happy person does. I have been free for over 16 years now. If I can do it anyone can :)

In the past you have talked about the inner saboteur. I think there might be an inner rebel as well. I recognize your state in myself and wonder if after all the regimented discipline and diligence that there is a part of oneself that just wants to break out and enjoy the chaotic universe if only momentarily, and this is the drive behind rebellion. In any event your solutions is great.

I love the depth of your thoughts, Heather! I think there's a lot to be said for our "inner" selves wanting to break out and be heard and seen on occasion. Thank you for taking the time to share. Sending you tons of love, xoxo

You are very tough lady Susan and nice looking for that matter!! I like and respect your honesty and I really don't know how you can be so open and honest in public?!?!?!?
I am starting my 14 days challenge tomorrow so I prepared my food plan for the whole of next week and I am going to stick with it no matter what!!!
I have been struggling with weight for the last 5 years and my target is to lose 15 kg reaching my target weight of 84 kg
I am now 98 kg so it's long way off my target - long way to go!!
But I get there no matter what!!!
By the way there is a diet in Australia ( I live in Sydney) called total wellbeing diet developed by SCIRO) I took this diet and have not lost any weight at all!!!!
They charge $150 and refund it in full no matter what the results Are!!! Maybe that's why I have not lost my weight?!?!?!
Anyhow it's about 10:00pm now in Sydney and I am going to sleep
Hope to get your first promised video from you tomorrow morning
    So long
    Sasha

Maybe try the phone a friend option, when eating out... Pretend ur just instagramming ur meal, take a pic, send to a trusted backup partner (and you do same for them as needed) and make sure they honestly evaluate what is on that plate... And can say... Looks good... But put half those potatoes to the side...etc... Then you might get to the point where you KNOW the answer before they tell you... And someday get to the point where you can do it by just asking your inner monologue what they think.

There seems to be a lot of drama in the area of weight loss. It is almost like inching into the swimming so very slowly and complaining that it is too cold. One viewpoint on excess weight is that it is simply a response to excess insulin blocking adipose tissue consumption. If you allow excess processed carbs (all grains, potatoes, sugars, pastas...) into the diet then you will not burn body fat. So what to do?
Stop all refined carbohydrate consumption cold turkey is one option (like stopping smoking, it is just another addiction). Never look back. Over several weeks your body adapts, you become ketogenic, you burn adipose tissue all the time. Your diet consists of green non-starchy vegetables, lots of organic healthy fats and also meat if you wish. You exclude and simplify. Life is short, get it done. If your weight inches up then skip a meal, or skip one meal every day. You will still get your meal internally because you will be ketogenic and have access to the 20-30 day backlog of healthy adipose fat you carry around all the time. Go all in, be a carb Nazi, and never be hungry again, even during fasts of any reasonable duration. One suggestion...never stop drinking water, very unhealthy (but not as unhealthy as an air fast).
What would your 50,000 year old grandmother eat? Certainly nothing in the middle of a grocery store. She was lucky if she got something to eat each and every day. We are spoiled rotten and need to get on with a cleaner and more spartan eating lifestyle.

Really, what is the point of getting thin if you can't eat vegetables at a restaurant without fretting about it?
