After long months of research I watched your review of this chair again and with a pained look at my wallet I hunkered down and bought an OM5 Exec. BTW, the chair also has a seat length adjustment you didn't mentioned and a headrest for the exec model.

How would you say this compares to something like the "Proline II ProGrid High Back Chair" ? (Just got one, only $200~ but its a fairly impressive work chair, with TONS of adjustable components.

Sorry I never responded, not sure why I didn't. But I actually ended up buying this chair and am just now looking back at this video thinking about whether my purchase was good or not. I'd say it is. I'm seriously blow away by what a coincidence this is, but thanks for your advice any way because you ended up being spot on. Really like this chair.
I am over six feet and find that the Steelcase Leap does very well for me.

i've been using the same chair for about 9 years, and i got it from my family who had it for probably a good 5 years before that, and its still in good shape, its just now starting to squeak when the piston goes up and down..

+DasVERMiT $700 for a high quality chair with a lifetime warranty. If you spend a lot of hours every day in that chair it's actually worth the money. Especially since you know it's made to last and you won't have to be changing it every other year.

You spend similar amount of money for a smartphone, for a graphics card, TV and whatnot, but then investing the money on a chair that you might be sitting on for third of your day is questioned for some reason. There's zero logic in there.

Awesome chair!. I do like standup desks and the lumiy lightblade lamp. Those would be cool setup.
I use what I assume to be about a 30 year old office chair with the annoying material you can peel all day and rubber wrapped wooden armrests and as for weight for its size its real heavy because of its I believe steel base. Also it creaks and cracks and has manual adjustment it feels very sturdy unlike plastic walmart chairs I love it.

Costs double, looks ugly (my taste i guess) and you can NOT sleep in it? I got a Maxmonic and i sleep like 2-3 days a week in it. Lean back, got a couch behind my desk to lay my feet on, comfy as f*** and wireless headset to blast music while falling asleep. And since the chair keeps you from turning and the headpillow keeps your head straight i got no fear of my ruining my headset by doing so.

Confuzzled Weed but they sure are good for it. If you lean all the way back and have something to rest your feet on comfortably then you have the same position as hospital beds but they keep you from rolling on your side meaning you can safely fall a sleep with your headset on. Maybe not meant to sleep in but they offer great benefit to it tho

600 for a proper office chair is affordable. Look at Herman Miller chairs. Although they are superb they don't have the best value

+GRIZZLY_GUY That GTX 980 Ti will get outdated in two years. That chair will last for a lifetime if taken care of. Quite easy decision to pick the chair for me. But it's your body and you treat it as you wish.

During my internship I had last summer (9 -10 hours a day), I used an amazing ergonomic chair, and I really think you and your staff would love it. It would be a great chair to do a review on as well. It’s the Generation by Knoll. The chair is very customizable and has great lumbar support. You can also request a Sample! The model I was using had the following options chosen.
Arm Option: High Performance
Base: Polished Aluminum
Casters: Soft wheel
The rest of the customizable options are your color preferences. After my internship, it sucked reverting back to my regular office chair. I wanted to order the Generation really bad, but it’s a bit out of my price range, even though well worth the cost. But you should be able to receive a sample, try it out, and do a review on it! Hope this message makes it to you! Thanks to you and your team to all of your vids!

Expensive for a chair but competitive when you compare it to enterprise chairs from other companies like Steelcase. We have Steelcase chairs at our office and I use one myself and they're absolutely phenomenal. Makes crunching away at a PC for 8 hours a comfortable experience when it could really be a chore in any other traditional chair. The price is high but you can't really put a price on ergonomic comfort when you're working up to 10 hours a day in one at times.

After trying the Steelcase Gesture I settled for the embody chair from Herman Miller. Because every body type has the need for a different chair. And trying them in a store is useless you need to try one out for a couple of hours at least. Try to remember that this would be a chair for at least 10+ years. If you ask me 10 year of your life is worth paying $1 a day. One issue I have with the embody is that it can be static if your wearing something like sweatpants

hey linus, i am from germany and love to see your vids, especially when you compare different perpherals back to back. i got one improvement i would wish for..... when talking about a graph and comparing stats on the go, i find it difficult to concentrate on the seen graphs and your comment regarding it. maybe insert a little arrow to make it easier for the viewer to follow, which core i7 you are talking about in the exact moment, that would greatly enhance my viewing experience. not everyone knows the exact names of the gpu's, cpu's etc. and would minimize confusion between items. maybe this is only an issure for non native speakers ;)

You should do some of the Steelcase chairs and not just the dearest one either (Leap, Gesture, Think, etc). I'm in the hunt for a new chair and the gaming ones don't really suit me and the Steelcase ones are expensive but I have read good reviews about them.

Although the prices may be hard to swallow if your really looking for a chair that will allow you to comfortably work day after day in a chair premium producers such as Haworth, Herman Miller, and so on will be your best bet. The Aeron chair is renowned for being exceptional and Haworth has many options such as the very premium Zody. Lacasse is also a good company which I believe branched off of Haworth years ago, moreover they are Canadian based. Between these three company's too you will find all the office products you need from monitor arms to up down tables to even tables that act as a media hub so multiple users can connect to a screen and share ideas (Haworth Workware).
Funny thing is that when I saw all the people asking for a NON-GAMING chair review I took that to mean "a chair that doesn't cost a ridiculous amount of money". Not "something even more expensive". There has to be some decent chairs out there that don't cost as much as some people's computers.

I absolutely love my DXRacer. Only chair I've ever found that is actually ergonomic enough for me since I'm the same exact height as Linus. The multi-level recline is also really nice.

It's a shame that so many of these ergo chairs aren't available in the UK. I've just purchased reconditioned steel case leap v1 for myself and my editors at work. I use an Ikea Markus at home.
