I passed out at a meeting about becoming an exchange student last year. I hit my head on a table then floor. When I went to the doctor they told me it's normal for teenagers to pass out. Then a couple months later I passed out in my cousin's bathroom, hitting my face on the counter, then the nasty toilet and no one knew till the next morning when I told them. They didn't let me go to school cause I was feeling a little out of it. Later that day I went to the doctor again and they told me that it's normal for teen girls to pass out.
I haven't passed out since but I do get woozy a lot.

Edit- I am very anemic as well and last year we were at an away game like 6 hours away and I passed out. I told my coach I didn't feel good and collapsed on the track. I got back up in a couple minutes and I needed food but my coach was terrified

The first and only time I've ever passed out was when I was doing breathing exercises for vocal training incorrectly. I was holding my breath for twice as long as I should have. I was actually in the shower, and I woke up sliding down the shower walls. I had temporary amnesia, I first wondered why wasn't I waking up in bed. And then I remembered I was taking a shower, and then I pieced together I just made myself hyperventilate and pass out in the shower. My vocal coach told me to do my training on my bed lol.

I do cheerleading and I competed nationals 2018 on my period. I almost passed out in the middle of the pyramid. I remeber breathing and saying "don't pass out, you have to tumble" like 10 times.
Then I did the tumbling and finished the routine.
Also in the way back half my team caught a virus and everyone was vomiting in the 12 hours trip LOL

A couple of years ago I was at Ulta doing my last minute Christmas shopping, I was literally in the checkout line getting ready to pay and next thing I know I wake up on the floor with one of the workers leaning over me. I passed out in the line. That had never happened to me before. I never went to the Doctor 😅 but it hasn’t happened since lol
WTF NIKKI!!!! I legit just learned I am struggling with iron deficiency and passed out during volleyball practice TODAY. The timing of this story is kinda scary, not gonna lie. Love you so much girl!
Girl I was a “ flyer” too! But at practice one day the girls that I’m putting trust in to lift me etc. but what I didn’t know is the group of girls I was with was mad that coach chose me and not their home girl , so they had a plan. And at practice as they lift me up and go through some of the first part of the routine as we come up to the part where they toss me in the air and as I think I’m about to be caught by these girls nope they just let me fall . I didn’t get seriously hurt but I did get the wind knocked out of me and I then see those girls snickering ! The coach was pissed and they was kicked off the team. The coach begged me to stay because I was really good but I refused ! After that I never tried out for cheer again
“Well it is what it is , I gotta do this” is literally my motto every time I go into work cause it’s actually good money and I’m pissed bc I love and hate the job 😭🤣

Yes! I had iron deficiency anemia since I started my period (since I was 11) but I’ve always been stable. At 22 years old I randomly started getting really bad symptoms of constant fatigue, headaches, restless leg syndrome and my body temp was abnormally low. I finally saw my PCP after dealing with this for about a year and found out that my iron was severely low. I had to get 8 sessions of iron transfusions the beginning of 2020. During my follow up in November my iron dropped back down to the low levels and I had to get another transfusion at my follow up. It’s scary how your body changes on you without warning. Ladies, take notes of the signs and always call your doctor. It’s better safe than sorry. My doctors were surprised I haven’t passed out with how low my iron has been. I think I’m at the point where my body is not absorbing iron like it should anymore.

Eating is sooooo important when it comes to cheerleading. Not only do I fly but I also do tumbling ( flips and stuff like that) and I have terrible eating habits and I have had many episodes on and off the field where I felt like I wasn’t going to make it. eat eat eat!!

Girl I feel this......I have very IRREGULAR periods and when I do get a proper period, it is HEAVY (like soaking through multiple of the BIGGEST pads a day)......I feel absolutely awful and weak, eating more and well doesn't help, so I'm forced to take emergency birth control (like take 3 or 4 tablets a day until it stops!).....after that, it's a minimum 1 week recovery period where I'm pretty much bed and chair ridden....have had to go to the hospital before for anemia and iron deficiencies as a result of my period....because it's more my period than an actual affliction, I can't do much to cure it, except work with it as it goes

I swear you are like my twin! I played basketball my entire laugh with HORRIBLE period which also caused me to have low iron and become anemic. I had to take iron pills just to continue the sport
