    Euge.....you just gave he best, most efficient explanation of this setup on UA-cam. I'm in the process of building a pedal board, and one of the accessories is a "4-Input jack module" that screws into the side of the pedal board, and I could not for the life of me figure out what they were talking about. Yet, I was doing it all along, and didn't realize it....lol. *You are the text-book example of someone who teaches for the sake of genuinely try to help people. These days (especially in the United States) it seems like all the so-called teachers we see now-a-days are more concerned with displaying how much knowledge they have, as opposed to actually trying to help someone.* Thank you for all you do for the guitar community!!!

    can you do multi effects pedal send to a different pedal then back return to it if my amp only has 1 input or is that pointless or wi ll i notice sound difference? lets say an overdrive or an auto wah

      Not sure what you mean but I’d just try it out. If it sounds good it’s good 😎.

    Very nice video. I've never satistied from the pick response of GE250 when gallops, alternates, downpickings combining in high speeds ( Slayeeeeerrr ) and I did Friedman Be-OD > Boss GE-7 (Sad face) > Fx loop of GE250 now it feels better for pick responses. I utilize GE250 for boosted lead tones with delay and q filter, cleans, wah wah, 1960 Cab, both xlr and regular output for the stage shows. My Question is the Cab should be very end of this lead chain or before delay ?

    Fantastic video sir. I have a question. I've moved to the rack world a year ago. I'm running a digitech gsp1101, boss gx700 and a tc electronic g major. Both the gsp1101 and gx700 are pre amps. I have set up the gsp1101 via four cable method with my amp. I have trouble with trying to run the gx700 and g major because I only use them two for effects which I need in my loop. How would I go about hooking everything together?

      I guess it’d make the most sense to put the others in the Digitech’s effect loop and control them all via midi.

    Do you just put all your effects/pedalboard in the front end then for the third method?

    • @EugeValovirta230V
      @EugeValovirta230V  4 роки тому +1

      I can’t remember what method was the 3rd one I showed but in general I have dist/od/boost , wah, whamny, phaser etc. before preamp and delay & reverb (time based) post preamp. Hope this helps 👌.

      😊. Have you tried with different cabs / speakers / IRs? Those play a big part too. Actually more than most people realise. For example I never get a sound that I’m completely satisfied with Celestion 75 watt speakers but with V30 & 25w Greenbacks I really have to work not to get a good sound 😎.

      @@EugeValovirta230V i have 75's and know they have high end but what about the 5150 then? Thanks for the input... wish i play through some V30's or try some greenbacks. Been looking.

    • @mikeh.99
      @mikeh.99 3 роки тому

      To tell you the truth I think the last guy who worked on it made it sound muddy. is that possible? I remember sounded good before that but the pots were cracking. He said it wasn't anything he did so I don't know if I'm going crazy or what

    • @EugeValovirta230V
      @EugeValovirta230V  3 роки тому +1

      V30s have a bit more and Greenbacks about the same than 75s but the highs on those are really balanced compared to 75s. And the mids on 75s are really strange & muddy. When you're close mic'ing them no matter how close you put the mics it sounds quite distant, like there'd be a blanket in front of the cab etc.
      5150s are generally a lot darker than Marshalls. Well I guess all amps are darker and sounds a bit muddy compared to Marshalls and especially compared to 800s :-). There's a reason 800 2203 is my all time favourite amp ;-).

    • @EugeValovirta230V

      Could be different tubes etc. Tube amps are very "delicate" and even small changes in them could affect the tone quite significantly.

    When I want to bypass my amp’s preamp with a preamp pedal (randall rgod) and also mix in the multieffect so it gives me all it’s features with both the amp and it’s new preamp in the chain... will I need 8 cables for that? :D Should I put the multieffect before the new preamp (rgod) and plug the guitar directly into it? And then when I want to direct record using headphones out on the multieffect (so it incorporates my multieffect’s cab simulator alongside the amp and rgod) directly into an interface.. will it work through the multieffect processor..? or is it now bypassed by the amp and it’s headphones out socket is now the working one? Sorry for the long question ;)
