A little inside baseball, Marshall intentionally made it not have that top end fizz the old 900’s had and is voiced a bit more modern. So it’s like a slightly updated version of a 900. Great video!

What I find difficult about Euge’s reviews is I can’t trust what I hear, the man can get a good sound out of anything lol. I just take his word on stuff because I trust his taste in metal tones.
And, his best tones, you never hear, because he’s VERY insistent in dialing in these amps the same. Great tone is always subjective, so I’m not knocking that, just saying he knows how to get among the best 80’s tones I’ve ever heard in my life, when he pulls the gain back a bit.
Love this video, well done!! I really like the 900, I have 2 of these from the 90's. IMO, the best metal head Marshall ever made and this little 20 watt jewel would really be perfect for less than huge stages. Thanks for all that you do for guitarists and metal!!!
Wow! That sounded incredible! For a 20 watt head the tone is huge! 🔥I have the DSL20 (bought also thanks to our awesome video review 🤘🏻😉) and it sounds equally huge for a lunchbox amp! When I want a good Marshall amp review with great sound and awesome playing , I come to the master Euge channel ... the very best ! I think this video is going to sell MANY new 900 studios ! Just sold me on one right now .
This little amp packs a punch. Dialed back it almost has like a prog-metal sound if that is your thing and you can scoop it out if it's not. The high gain channel can be pushed enough to hold its own against the 800. The clean can hold its own against a TSL. For being what it is, a small studio amp, I think it did great. I know being put through that cab helped it, but it still did a great job. Awesome review! Our sounds and styles are very similar so it's great to see you do reviews because you are going to show me if I can get what I want out of it.

@jeffallen3382 brilliant mate. I've played loads of 900s and 800s. I love them both. But for that modern marshall tone, the 900s are just great. Hopefully the price stays low enough for me to buy another 😂
