He was 22 years old and when he was invited as a wild card to compete with professional singers in 2017. This was the first song he sang and won first place. This is the first song that he performed at the "I am a singer" competition in 2017 in China. With this first song he became very popular. He is from Kazakhstan. He sings 12 languages. He is 25 years old, his height is 191 cm. Now in the world a lot of singers with great voices. But Dimash has a unique voice of 6 octaves, and with fantastic technique, no one can do that things in live. His voice takes the whole row of the piano and another note. And the important thing except his amazing vocal is his ability to touch peoples hearts and warm its... Dimash since childhood is interested in Eastern philosophy, loves sports, he was engaged in swimming and martial arts. He can plays in differents instruments too(5). He's just a very great artist, clean, bright and kind to people man, and very educated, with high and rigid moral principles and very strict attitude to life. He never used alcohol, tobacco or drugs. This is his philosophy of life...He is a one of a kind, continue react him and you will see!

I wasn't restrained enough to do reactions lol. I couldn't help myself and I stayed up most of the night watching more of him. My suggestion though is to go through the singer serious I think there is a total of 13 songs. He was a wild card contestant in China, the youngest performer. It's a wonderful show with only professionals singing. They help and support each other they are already famous so it's not a cut throat do or die situation. This was his first performance there and everyone in China went crazy for Dimash after this. This guy is no joke he's always pitch perfect and the vocal coaches that react to him say it''s crazy or impossible to do some of the things he's doing. It blows their minds. He has no certain style as he can sing or do anything he wants with his voice.

You are correct, he has a little bit more than 6 octaves (he can go higher than here, his highest note to date is a D8). He also has 20 years of classical education, 2 degrees and is working on his Masters in composing. Nobody is this good without extensive, formal education. Talent is one thing but you have to work hard. He practices 3 hours every day. His range is ridiculous but what makes him incredible is the control, vocal techniques, performance and sheer love and passion for music that he has. (He is also very intelligent and a very kind person. Honestly, sometimes I wonder about how it all came together in one person)
You also hit the nail on the head. A famous Russian composer Igor Krutoy heard him and returned from retirement to compose for him. A cantata called Ogni Pietra (amazing piece, his lower range is on full display and it is glorious! I recommend that you use the fancam from his Arnau concert for this) and Passione, brilliant musical theatre/opera piece. Both are from this year and his voice is actually better. There is more maturity in it. I am also certain that there is more room for improvement. His most recent video is also a song by Krutoy, you will find it on his official channel, called Know. Just released 3 days ago.
BTW he did do the Diva Dance from the 5th element, I suggest the Bastau concert version. It's the best.

Why do recommend fancam for Ogni Pietra, it is the worst possible choice with awful audio, Igor Krutoy has excellent version from concert on his channel, much much better.

@@cooperblue1191 As Sergio said, due to the way it was filmed it is absolutely fantastic to observe Dimash as he is singing.
The sound is not ideal but it is hardly awful and more importantly, it has not been processed. I prefer it to the other precisely because of this.
@@subidubiduda5293 There is so much more to this song and this performance, not just close-ups of his face, sound is poorly recorded it has nothing to do with being processed. Dimash sings with his whole body and there is nothing of that in fancam video I think this video should be removed from UA-cam ASAP, it is that bad.

His range is unbelievable, his technique top of the top, and his versatility in styles is unmatched, but it's his ability to transmit emotion that attracts people the most as well as his gentle and humble personality. His fanbase (his "Dears" as he calls us) is from all over the world, from teenagers up to grandparents. He will change your perception what is possible for a human voice.

Hi there. Dimash is classically trained in the Bel canto technique since he was 5 yrs old. He is currently taking his Masters degree in composition. he has a 6 octave range and is considered as a prodigy in Kazakhstan. He will has his US concert at the Barclays Center, New York on Dec. 10, 2019.

It's not merely how many octaves or how high or low he can go. His specialties includes (but not restricted) his incredible mastery in interpreting and conveying the very essence of every song he sing to his listeners. That is his rarest and most valuable qualities that all the technicalities learned can't achieve. That's why he is special. That's why he is the COMPLETE PACKAGE.

Yes welcome to the world of Dimash! And now I have to make you happy. You just saw only the tip of the iceberg. This show was in 2017, then Dimash was 22. In the show Dimash went through all the tours (there were 13+ farewell songs) and took! 2! a place. Throughout this show, in each next round, he showed himself something new. And at the end, Dimash said: "You know Dimash by 40%." And then I was incredibly surprised. Can anything be better? Now I realized that Dimash told the truth. And certainly now we do not know Dimash 100%. I wish you to continue this journey with Dimash, it is never boring with him;) And yes, Dimash calls his fans Dears. In addition to being an incredible artist, singer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, he is also an incredible person, very educated, respecting everyone and with a very good sense of humor :) Watching him on the stage and beyond is equally interesting and fun.

Actually, he has done the Diva dance and killed it ahah he has performed it in the Singer show and then in the Bastau concert. I'd recommend watching both to compare how much he improved. When we think he already sounds perfect DImash always proves us wrong by eargasming us.

Most call him either an angel or alien. Yes he has 6 octaves ( confirmed ) . This song isn't even close to his highest or lowest. If you want to go on the ride of your life and I promise you you'll never be the same. You'll also see your channel grow because he's has one of the most devoted loved fan base you've ever heard. Your also right he has someone that writes music for him that of course no one else can come close to singing ( btw he does sing Diva Dance and does it as always without autotune or computers. In the movie they had to use computer generated voices ) . Go to Wikipedia to read more about him. Also if you go to his channel or Gloria Wu's channel you won't get copy write strikes . His father is his manager and he said no copy strikes ever . However on the Singer, the show you just watched it belongs to China and sometimes they give strikes sometimes not but you have to be careful and pause inbetween. Also there are eng sub versions. There is also a even better performance of him singing this, yes it gets better much better. Because his fans are so important and loved by him he calls them his " Dears" . He's coming to the US in Dec. I think the tickets are sold out. He sells out everywhere he has a huge huge fan base. His music videos are out of this world. But look up eng sub titles for his songs. He sings in so many different languages I'm not even sure how many. He sings quite a few songs in English as well.

It's funny that you said they would have to write songs specifically for his voice because they have already started! Igor Krutoy is a famous Russian composer who came out of retirement when he heard Dimash sing. He has written several songs just for Dimash's voice and they are incredible. Ogni Pietra (sometimes called Olympico) was written for Dimash to sing at the opening ceremonies of the European Olympics this year. It is a bit different than most of his other songs because he uses only his operatic style. (It was my first time hearing him sing full baritone and I still haven't recovered.😍) You'll see as you watch more of his videos that Dimash usually blends opera, pop, blues, funk, rock, and jazz styles into a beautiful masterpiece that reminds me of a vocal oil painting, rich with a variety of colors and textures. You are in for a treat as you continue listening to his amazing voice. Every time I think he has reached perfection and couldn't possibly get any better, he tops himself again. The best thing about Dimash is even with all that talent he is a very humble, kind and generous person... the kind of guy who walks away from a singing competition where he was a shoo-in to win the million dollar prize in order to give children an opportunity to move forward instead. Dimash is a class act.

Dimash began his music training at two.years of age. He also began piano I believe a year later as he won a piano playing contest I believe at the age of 3. His parents are both reknowned singers in Kazakhstan. His father is also a record producer. At a very early age they discovered that little Dimash had perfect pitch, and...........he was off! Extensive personal training for decades. Thus the absolute perfection in every possible aspect. Dimash can also play drums along with piano and guitar, and a stringed instrument of his country called the Dombra. There could be others as well. Dimash once said, "If you cut open my brain, there is music. If you cut open my heart, there is music". He is also a song writer. As well as being out of this world vocally he is one of the kindest, most humble guys in real life. He has a great sense of humor. The name he gives his fans are "Dears" because they are above all else, dear to him. He has expressed repeatedly that they mean everything to him. Thank you. Dimash is a Music virtuoso of our times. Wikipedia can provide info on his 20+ year background, he is 25 yrs old now. He has College & University Degrees in Opera and Contemporary Music; Masters in Composition. Dimash sings in 12 languages and plays 7 instruments. Dimash is an awesome performer, a very humble and well grounded individual.

That is exactly the way Maestro Igor Krutoy felt the first time he heard Dimash sing so he came out of retirement to compose songs just for Dimash & to rework other songs for him. So far he has composed 3 songs & reworked others. The new ones are Olympico & Passione & Where Love Lives & the current reworked one is Know. On his channel Dimash Kudaibergen you can find videos of all 4 of those plus a lot more. The ones from Igor's annual festival New Wave are the best plus there is an official music video of Know that was just posted.
From all I have heard of him he is a very gentle, humble and kind person. He appreciates his fans and recognizes the contribution of others in his productions. I don't know why he is not world famous. I think he will be. A final thought and something I always marvel at when I listen to Dimash. He performs this song and others LIVE in huge venues. No acoustic controls. No auto tune. Just a heavenly, yet human voice of a boy from Kazakhstan.

Love your first reaction to Dimash. He tends to gobsmack you. 6+ octave range. Training since 5 yrs old. 6'3" tall. Huge lung capacity from swimming his entire life. Perfect pitch. Sings in 12 languages -- His native Kazakh, Russian, French, Spanish, Italian (Operatically trained), Serbian, Uzbek, Turkish, Kurgyz, Mandarin, English, German. He IS NOW world famous. A composer that is the Russian David Foster has come out of retirement just to compose for him. Ogni Pietra, Know, Passione, were written for him. He actually DOES do Diva Dance from 5th Element and does not use any electronics like the movie version did. He donates much of his earnings to various charities. Very loving family. Kind, self-effacing, humble, thankful to fans. He is, I suppose, perfect in every way. At least, so far it appears so. I think he is a gift from God right when the world needs one. Just my opinion.

"He's not that big of a guy" well, he's slender, but he's 6'3". Those are some large man lungs he has. This man is not a machine.....he is a Gift from God....maybe reincarnation of few singers....definitely great and wise Soul....and like he said in his interview on Kazahstan TV , 'don't worry and don't always count the octaves, enjoy and forget for few minutes about everyday troubles( something like this) :)

They have started writing music just for him, Igor Kutoy a famous Russian composer has come out of retirement just to write for him after he heard him sing. That's what 20 solid years of training and having both parents who are famous singers too. He is continually training and always wants to better himself, he is a very humble man, loves his fans(dears), loves children and is passionate about his country and his family.

Yes, Dimash was born with perfect pitch and beginning at age 5 he has attended professional vocal training. So, it's a matter of taking perhaps the most naturally talented singer, and then training him to the extreme of human ability to train. The good thing is, he LOVES to sing, and loves music, more than anything else in the world. When he was a toddler his prized possession was a bag of old music cassettes, which he insisted on having with him at all times.
He is a devoted and tender son to his wonderful musical parents. You can see the 3 of them singing together if you put into UA-cam Search, "Dimash sings with parents." Actually, he reveres them, and also his music teachers. He's a man of deep integrity. He gives to those in need and often selects young people with good voices, and helps them get their careers established. His reason for working so hard at improving his voice, is to become a better singer for his fans, whom he holds in sincere appreciation and fondness. He's from Kazakhstan, by the way---a previously Russian-controlled nation that achieved its freedom about 25 years ago.

I believe that Dimash will raise the standards for singers, although there are still plenty of fans for folks who have less spectacular voices. We can feel confident that mediocrity is not going to overcome excellence, with singers of this caliber. I believe his is the best voice in the world, but it has to be SOMEONE.
Although people tend to assume that he's a smallish man, he actually is 6'3," which contributes to his many dramatic enhancements of his singing.
In his country (Kazakhstan) it's common for the eldest son to be brought up by his grandparents. In his case, those grandparents are very musical, and saw to his education as well as his physical needs.
Dimash is adored by his millions of fans around the world. He actually has 11 million fans that are officially members of fan clubs (myself included.)
