I'm so glad I'm not the only one who doesn't get how Fourth Wing is so popular. The fantasy aspects are so underdeveloped and poorly done and the romance aspect isn't romance, it's just Violet obsessing over how hot Mr. Edgy is, and the whole thing felt very YA but in a shitty wattpad way
there is something very intriguing about someone you dont know reviewing a book you never heard of and you probably would have never paths crossed "normally", but im convinced if the book (whatever topic it is) is really good it will trigger your curiosity anyway and maybe you will read it someday somewhere, hidden...
Finally someone who agrees with me on Frieda, I’ve read two of her books and they were both TRASH. Just absolutely ridiculous and the ending makes no sense. Never again!
Hi Meg, hope you are well. Sometimes a good rant makes you feel good. And after all, “They” made you do it! I just got back from my local library and you won’t believe but one of the six holds was “House at the bottom of a lake”! Based on your advice I didn’t even take it out of my book bag. Funny, Malerman’s “Daphne” wasn’t bad. Oh, well. Take care!
I enjoyed Diavola but the entire time I felt as if the ghost didn’t even need to be there 💀 it was family drama more than anything and everyone was SOOOOOOOO INSUFFERABLE!!!! LOL 😭
I love how literally every opinion in this video matched my exact feelings perfectly. I haven’t read 3 of the books you’ve mentioned but now I know I don’t want to 😂 9 identical opinions to me gives me confidence that those other 3 books will not be good to me either.
I hated Bunny too. I just thought it was shallow as a puddle. Started off fun enough and went down hill and the ending was just boring and lazy. Just watch the movies she used for inspiration… their much better 😅
Love this video 😂 I have no interest in reading the fourth wing or any Sarah j Maas books but the amount that they are thrown in my face online is unbelievable I was starting to wonder if maybe they lived up to some sort of hype. No thank you for reinforcing my non-interest. Also diavola? That was likely the worst book I've read maybe ever 😂❤
I couldn't stand "House at the Bottom of a Lake." It was such a boring book. The one saving grace about it is the cover is kind of cool looking, but that's pushing it.
A bunch of the books/authors you hate just won or were nominated for the Goodreads Choice Awards. As an author, I'm really starting to see how corrupt or rigged the system is for books and publishing. Stephen King won the horror category with a short story collection... dude hasn't written anything good in years! Your Sarah J. Maas books won the Romantasy categories.
Lmao this proves we definitely have opposite taste half the time lol. But I do love a good rant! Even if it hurts my heart 😅😂. I can totally agree about Riley Sager and Frieda though.
My interpertion is its a lense view of a mental illness. It says what one at the end of the book. It also has alot of symbolism in it representing the main characters mental health state and her relationships. Its a book either you get it or you dont. I read alot of discussions about it in order for it to fully make sense.
Riley Sager sounds awful. Ive never tried him.😂 i like these rant videos from people bc it reminds me im not the only one who has a strange addiction to finishing a bad book. DNF is hard for me lol
I’ve gotten so much better with it. I DNF all the time now. It’s just the ones I’m reading specifically for videos I try to finish hence….this video where most of these were for videos 😂

The whole thing felt very YA and cringy I couldn’t believe it was marketed as an adult book

Hater Meg is always enjoyable.
Thank youuuuuu
17:05 Believe me when I say that as a 17 year old I also hate books involving teenagers 😂
Always love your content. As for Frieda, the quick and easy read is her strength.
Thank you! Yeah that’s all she has going for her I think lol
I was wondering if you would do a video on the 12 Best Books you ever read
There are so many I love but I definitely plan on doing something similar!
The hot handymen 😂
Is that a running theme in all Sager’s books? I’ve only read two, but there was a hot handyman in both lol
Yes I think his new one with the male POV was the only one without a hot handyman 😂
@@muriel6843 Riley truly doesn't know how to write women (or understand women at all). Why he's so popular I will never know.
Finally someone who agrees with me on Frieda, I’ve read two of her books and they were both TRASH. Just absolutely ridiculous and the ending makes no sense. Never again!

I enjoyed Diavola but the entire time I felt as if the ghost didn’t even need to be there 💀 it was family drama more than anything and everyone was SOOOOOOOO INSUFFERABLE!!!! LOL 😭
Yessss agree lol the ghost served no purpose 😭

Maybe think for yourself.
You might be on to something here lolol glad we agree about most of these it makes me feel less insane 😂
Yes, R Sager made sure you knew she was drunk damn near in every chapter of THATL 🤦🏾♂️
After every chapter: “btw she’s DRUNK”
I love a good rant session! 😂❤

Excellent Rant-tober...already looking forward to Rant-vember and Rant-cember!
lol thank you!!
Yep, I LOVE these rants. More like this pleeeeeeeeeeease
200 pages correcting pronunciation and 100 pages piss yellow 🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
Would love your thoughts on The Thicket after that age comment about Fourth Wing lol
Oh lord do I even want to know what this is lol
@ 😂😂😂😂
Meg, do you listen to any songs made about serial killers?
want me to list a few here?
Finally someone who agrees the last word was terrible
Ugh so bad I don’t get the hype
I hated Bunny too. I just thought it was shallow as a puddle. Started off fun enough and went down hill and the ending was just boring and lazy. Just watch the movies she used for inspiration… their much better 😅
Agreeeee. Which movies!?
@@ReadingWithMeg oh 🙈 I was thinking of Heathers, The craft, Mean girls, Fight club while reading it. But true that none of them have 🐰
I DNFd the last word. It was terrible. And predictable. So obnoxious trying to get through it
Very predictable good choice DNFing
A curse of thorns and roses is excellent.
Normal people there is no such thing and it’s only .5 star
Agree lol
@@ReadingWithMeg someone else agrees with me yes

Thank you for the Diavola confirmation lol I cannot look anywhere online without seeing those 3 books and they are awful
Penance is good for only one thing and that’s toilet paper 😂😂😂😂
💀
@@ReadingWithMeg true
Surely Sally Rooney's latest can't be as bad as Normal People! We need to be told!
I will collect the facts
dang, i gotta join patreon!
it sounds fun
Oh no i just bought Bunny its in the mail now 😂 hopefully i can atleast get a laugh out of it ! 🐰
I hope you at least find some joy out of it!
I couldn't stand "House at the Bottom of a Lake." It was such a boring book. The one saving grace about it is the cover is kind of cool looking, but that's pushing it.
Yeah that’s about the only good thing lol

Completely agree it’s sooooo bad
@ReadingWithMeg but why? What is the appeal we're somehow missing here???
Normal People book: trash 🗑️ and unreadable. The series: would sell my soul to watch it for the first time again. 1 million stars. 🌟
Wowwww maybe I need to look into this now
So glad I was not the only one that disliked bunny
So glad I am discovering there are more people that disliked it lol
Lmao this proves we definitely have opposite taste half the time lol. But I do love a good rant! Even if it hurts my heart 😅😂. I can totally agree about Riley Sager and Frieda though.
Hahah no hard feelings. At least you agree on the main offenders.
Your rants are the best 😂 moldy food is scary on its own … don’t need piss yellow hair ghost to tell us that 👻
Maybe the author is afraid of her hair looking brassy and it translated to her writing😂
Not in this economy. That food is expensive 😭
I’m so glad there is another person in the world that didn’t like Bunny! I thought I was the only one! LOL
Ugh ikr I don’t understand why that book is so well loved
Bunny Bunny Bunny! 🐰😝
Oh Bunny….
I liked most of the books you hated but still enjoyed the hate!!! Lol
Appreciate you!!
I TOTALLY AGREE!
ALLEGEDLY 😂
Totally agree with you about Bunny, made me feel stupid reading it 😂
Had no clue what was going on, was wanting to poke my eyes out with a carrot 😂🥕😂
Hahahah not the carrot 💀
Same! I don't understand the hype
