- Surprisingly, I had a couple of questions about how I do oil changes. This is just a short clip about that and draining the oil drip tube canister which is used to collect the drippings from the air box drain tubes.

Thank you John - I finally got my oil catcher off when Scott came to visit - it was TIGHT. I think it was almost full to the throat because it would sometimes leak just a little bit. Great tip on the oil filter as well!
Love to see your brake adjustment procedure.
Might be in the video below I posted a while ago. I know I put it in one of my brake job/wheel bearing videos. But on the front you just depress the slack adjuster retaining ring and tighten till as tight as you can get it and then back off 1/4 turn. On the back it's the same procedure except you have to release the parking brake first with the wheels chalked to keep from rolling. Both can be done with the wheels on the ground. Only thing to be careful about is to no do it backwards and flip the cams. It's confusing and easy to do since you have to pay attention to the direction you turn the nut in.

Aaaahaaaaa, I will as always curious as to how the oil box drip catcher worked, makes all the sense now, hollow bolt, long tube etc...
The oil filter removal is exactly how I've done the Locomotive filters, only there are a half dozen more to contend with like coolant, air compressor etc...
Thanks for sharing ✌️
Thanks Eric, Glad to know someone got something out of it.
Another interesting video. The drip tubes on my new engine (from a late 70s AM General) route back in to the pan. Not a huge fan of this idea, think I'm going to have to fabricobble some kind of catch-can like this up.
