Wow 4:22. A dash Cammer paying attention to the road. Saw the mini about to overtake and immediately slowed down to prevent a collision. Instead of holding down their horn for the remainder of the road whilst shouting at themselves in the car. Well done driver
Honestly half of these videos could be removed if these drivers got off their high horse of "I have a dash cam and I follow the highway code!". They intentionally make situations more dangerous because they are "in the right". Doesn't matter if you are or not, you can make a situation even more dangerous just because you don't want to let someone in an already dangerous situation come in front of you...
Kudos to the cammer for his reaction, but you have to wonder at the sanity of the driver of the Mini who would rather risk a head-on collision at a combined 50-60 mph than a tail-end collision at 10-20 mph.
at 1:17 I've taken that dual carriage way many times to get to chelmsley wood (125 L plated, have to take A roads) and that corner is the most dangerous junction I've had the pleasure of riding past, always have to take it slow for emerging cars or bikes cause of how blind the corner is... welcome to Redditch
The clip at 37:55 was so cute- nice guy letting the other driver out and the little laugh was so charming. More drivers like that would make the roads so much nicer to be on.
I suspect that the cammer of #20 was out looking for trouble. If he'd just come off the accelerator (as he should) approaching the roundabout, there wouldn't have been an incident.
would you like to elaborate on that? The Pick-up cut the hell out of that round-about and thus cut the cammer off, even if he would have stopped as he should have.
But it’s a mini roundabout where the rule is give way to vehicles approaching from the right isn’t it? On full sized roundabouts you give way to traffic already on the roundabout.
As a learner driver I have no idea why I'm watching these videos, some of them are absolutely terrifying! I'm just sitting here like "actually, I've changed my mind - let's not drive!" But on the other hand they're educational in a what NOT to do kind of way and it's good to see how well some of the drivers react to hazards.
@5:35. This is an excellent example of why two lanes should be used right up the merge point at roadworks. Had motorist used as intended the traffic light junction would be left clear.
That is ABSOLUTELY incorrect. "Zipping" causes much more issue when the traffic is moving at all. The only time it makes any sense to fill up all the lanes is when it is dead stop. That car in both lanes at the time stamp you provided understands this and knows not to let idiots like you or the cammer screw it up for everyone. Don't know why this is such a hard concept to grasp, but so many of you clowns can't wrap your heads around it.
It's really telling that he blew his tire. Tires don't like to get scrubbed on the curbs, can cause blowouts you really don't want to get on the highway. Shatty BMW driver😂
Feel bit sry for how the car at 1:26 was singled out. The cammer carried way too much speed off the highway junction. A car infront of them turned into the petrol station, and the cammers car closed on them very quickly, so they were already going too quick to be able to safely react from hazards. Tricky junction, straight from highway into a built-up area, and vehicles having difficulty exiting the petrol-station and driveways is to be expected there, so more caution required. Still also a great evasive swerve tho 😅
30:25 I had a coach from Candy coaches do exactly this to me but i didn't have a dashcam. Driving wiped his onboard cam and they lied about the situation. This with the police not investigating and getting the highways camera footage meant the dangerous muppet got away with it. I have invested since in a dashcam. I didn't undertake the coach, I was overtaking him and he tried pulling out and tapped my car. I then tried to get him to pull over and he wouldn't. He moved back into the inside lane, started undertaking and once again hit me but worse that time. He then left the scene of the incident. Traffic police lied and the complaints team ignored the evidence showing that he lied. Moral of the story, get yourself a dashcam and don't rely on the police doing their jobs for such things because they are genuinely not interested. Thanks for the Hertfordshire constabulary.
1:14 I've commented on #4 before, can't remember if it's a repeat on this channel or if it was on another one. You can see that the car coming the other way has already pretty much stopped and is indicating. I reckon that just before the cammer came round the bend it had flashed the car exiting the forecourt to let it out, which it did without checking the other way.
15:34: I disagree with the text. The car did jump their light. Remember Green does not mean just go. The Highway code and road traffic act say it means Go if it is clear to do so. It wasn't.
1:00:42 the bmw would have been in 3 different mirros, then likely visible in the front window too. driver glanced at one mirror of the 5 he had, likely sat too far back and just went for it
I went to the UK some years ago with a friend, stayed for a month, first week... we considered a rental... The 20%? well... the lorry is a "Professional" driver and should realize by experience that... that half the population has an IQ below 100.... #31 Seems at first as if the BMW starts matching speeds, and the cammer starts accelerating? Then the cammer switches lanes to tailgate? Followed by the van trying to cutt off the BMW? while not indicating.... possible "swerve" ? Followed by the cammer switching lanes to tailgate and the BMW trying to brake check the cammer? or possibly trying to communicate with the van? Then the van seems to try and switch lanes without checking mirrors? (negligence) or possibly trying to force the cammer off their file? This one is... not intelligent... The issue is not that they "started to move over" The issue is that they were spread out so severely that they did not even have time to move over... they are the issue... /I ride my bike often... these ones are... "not intelligent"...
17:25 the motor cycle has committed a road traffic offence by entering the advanced stop area which is for pedal cycles only. The only time you can and must stop there in a motorised vehicle is if the lights change after you’ve crossed the first stop line.
It would be an idiot like you that would be trying to go around whatever it is they all clearly know about. Siddown. Your bullshit is where issues come from.
If it's two lines until the restriction, then they zip, fine. But skipping the queue on the inside is not good. A standard needs to be set for situations like this.
#12 is the classic "The lane is closed 50 lightyears away, so let's all just bunch into one lane then complain that normal people, who are correctly using _the open_ lane is "jumping the queue" ... the queue that _YOU_ unnecessarily created!"
6:25 This clip is funny, because they would rather block people overtaking to get to the front instead of using the other lane to get around the backed up traffic. People have no common sense these days?
#94 yes they started to move but they shouldnt have filled the road up as just incase a car lorry would come the other way at the speed limit which I would say was 60mph
Obviously the car driver is a twat. But this is a classic case of use some common sense. That road is not suitable to be riding two abreast. I ride a motorbike and if I was with a friend on a ride out, or group, single file down there. Even if you think you are in the right to do so, it's better to be alive and wrong than dead right.
#43 well done that man looking after the safety of his kids...no way should that van have parked there blocking the whole pavement right by a crossing!!!...👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
"Well done that man"? ...what was he doing cycling on a pavement? Both parties in the wrong, the van driver for parking and obstructing it, the cyclist for using the pavement rather than the road. And if you're collecting children from school, show them a better example by NOT cycling on the pavement rather than a show of bad parenting by doing whatever you feel like doing.
Not with that age of kid, on the pavement is a far better idea. Yes, the adult is old enough to cycle on the road but it's far safer to accompany the kids on the pavement than to cycle in the road at 3mph. No danger to pedestrians at that speed and getting kids on their bikes improves safety around schools substantially compared with all the parents who pick up and drop off.
@@RM-qv9rbthat little girl easily runs past him. He's no threat to any pedestrians and it's obviously safer for him to ride on the pavement with his kids to the crossing than on that road. Also looks like they're heading off down the side road at the end so probably only to get over the busy road anyway. If you have kids do you practice what you preach and cycle with them on a busy road? No, didn't think so.
#17 - speeding means that the driver pulling out would have had less time to see you, or not expected you to have been going that fast. The reaction from both drivers following the incident leaves a lot to be desired. Sticking your finger up to the driver wasn't sensible.
Yeah, everybody sucks here. If you're speeding, others may not be able to tell and you need to let the little stuff go. But, the BMW driver was being a BMW driver, acting all big and tough.
@@undecidedmiddleground5633 His 'Karen' girlfriend is the best, doing absolutely F all to calm her chavy boyfriend down. Both are a pair of bell-ends though, especially the pathetic excuse for speeding and then riding on the pavement. 'Think Bike, Think Tw*t'

But you have just acted like a bellend yourself by casting every BMW driver as being the same as this, and they are not. Stop being a bellend.
Both cammer and driver deserve each other, but on balance the cammer may have been an idiot but the BMW driver was a psychopath intent on using his vehicle as a weapon. Instead of sending this to UA-cam, the cammer should have sent it to the Police as there is more than sufficient evidence to take the BMW off the road for a while. But then some of his own behaviour (not least the initial speeding) no doubt made him hesitate - a little too self-incriminating, perhaps?
no one else riled up at #12? zipper merge is legal, smart, and honestly if you want to hang traffic back by queueing in a single file for miles, go for it, but these road vigilantes that block people, get me mad.
Can anyone provide a list of the makes of car that have priority over all other road users, and can ignore traffic laws? From observations, I know that the list includes BMWs, Mercedes, Volvos from observations, but surely there must be an official list somewhere. Do you get a certificate when you buy one of these cars?
15:31 I think the 2 cars the cam and the one hit.. the rules of the road say you cannot go on green if the way forward isn't clear. There's a lorry turning left waiting for traffic to clear so he can finish his turn, he doesn't get to because the cars behind have pulled forward to take his space. I got handed my license because my cash was good.. had to learn everything myself from trial and error and research.
#25 I would say the car...it was obvious that the lorry was going to turn into the right lane - they couldn't cut the corner hard enough to only use the left lane. #30 beautiful countryside with a small country road...hard to deliver tractors to farmers without driving on them! #47 simply amazing how a single-track road can have two-way traffic! I'm surprised there aren't more accidents on them! #74 Nice to see a rider and passenger on a bike wearing proper gear and having the right demeanor after hitting the car. #76 always an Audi (or other German car) #88 white van man, always making a dangerous move! He didn't make a mistake as to his lane choice, he was queue jumping to get in front of a lorry.
the bus driver at #45 is to blame, hogging the outside lane with no traffic in front in a slow moving vehicle is an offense (impeding the flow of traffic) you flashing him is letting him know he is blocking the fast lane, when he slowed down to 40mph .... then he is endangering lives, you undertook him which is illegal ... BUT in this instance you did it for safety reasons (check up on it, your in the clear) the driver then accelerated, the bus should not be going faster than 56mph ... but it looked like it was exceeding 60mph (endangering passengers, speeding) and he purposely moved into lane 1 to try and cause you to brake suddenly, but given where it happened the driver struck you, no matter what you say in the video .... the bus driver is to blame 100%

15:20 some drivers seem to think green means go regardless, green means red if road ahead is not clear Also that goes to the lorry driver as well as clearly could not turn so should of been waiting behind the line even when the light was green at the time for the lorry driver both failed
Was in Reading up behind a similar truck the tailgate was up but the driver had not lifted the tailgate up on the hoist and u couldn't see any lights or number plate. Luckily it stopped at at some traffic lights and l got out and knocked his window. He was out in seconds to lift tailgate. Job done.

At 55:45 I suspect there was somebody pulling out of the emergency area, and by the time the cammer arrived they'd gone already. But they close the left lane whenever somebody needs to exit that area. That seems to be the only explanation. Perhaps the speed limit could've gone to 50 or 60 though, rather than 40, if it was at 70 before that.

19:38 Your tailgating is the reason there was nearly an accident in the first place. The van was malicious but that doesn’t mean you weren’t dangerous.
I think it about damn time we got rid of the national speed limits on country roads. How can a twisty narrow road be 60mph when there are dual carriageways with a 40mph limit, or even 30mph in some places? Madness
You're either a bot or you need sectioning! 30 & 40 mph Dual carriageways are only there to enable councils to put speed cameras up! I've seen country roads (national speed limit) with zero accident histories have the limit reduced to 50mph in my area due to the "number of accidents" It's complete b**locks! It's not about safety or clean air, it's about revenue!
The overtaker on woodhead pass, having owned the car for a fortnight, might, if they are lucky, manage another fortnight before causing a major crash somewhere either through ignorance or impatience.
At 3.48 we see what could be a medical emergency. A loud klaxon might work if they dozed off but needs to be quickly done. A lot of sudden black outs must add to the accident numbers post Covid etc

Agreed he doesn’t know how to use a roundabout. The guy was already on it, long before he got anywhere near the lines.
Use timings so people can click straight to it
11:51@@deanmoncaster
@@rambledogs2012perfect! Thank you
He doesnt even have right of way. Truck was on roundabout first, cammer wasnt even at junction. Does he know how roundabouts work? Evidently not.
No. 20, you don’t know how a roundabout works, I’m amazed you had the gall to upload this.
to be fair, I find the UK roundabouts the worst and so bad designed making them very prone to dangerous situations.
Why not, the cammer was not at fault.
would you like to elaborate on that? The Pick-up cut the hell out of that round-about and thus cut the cammer off, even if he would have stopped as he should have.
@@StefNighthawk Well yeah, if you don't know how to use them...
But it’s a mini roundabout where the rule is give way to vehicles approaching from the right isn’t it? On full sized roundabouts you give way to traffic already on the roundabout.
I love how people feel so accomplished when they save a 10 second dash cam video!
The geek at 12:00 didn't need to beep or say anything; the guy in the other car had reached the roundabout before he did.
This probably isn't the best thing to be watching if you're a new driver.
welcome to the world of nutters ! please dont turn into one, remember all of these idiots had just passed their test once
Oh I watched loads of these as a learner. For me it helped me realize hazards of stupidity and to expect the unexpected.
@@MadScientist267nah. I watched them loads to remind me off all the dumb people on the roads. Definitely helped.
@@DeliMeatTree Lol Don't need the videos for that 🤣

@38:02 omg a courteous driver on the great British roads! 😱 well done that lady. ❤️
One thing I feel you can be sure of, if a BMW or Audi is driving under the speed limit, they're on the phone.
is that right , scared micra driver !
@5:35. This is an excellent example of why two lanes should be used right up the merge point at roadworks. Had motorist used as intended the traffic light junction would be left clear.
Exactly - but the British like to queue! This is one reason we should have "public information films" like we did back in the 70's and 80's
@@gmarshall101 The British didn't queue until rationing in WWII. Still don't in a pub, it's up to the barman to keep some order.
6:18 You're absolutely right. I wish more people would understand this.
Not sure your opinion is in tune with The Highway Code.

It's really telling that he blew his tire.
Tires don't like to get scrubbed on the curbs, can cause blowouts you really don't want to get on the highway.
Shatty BMW driver😂
#8 - why didn’t the cam driver stop to check on the other driver, if they thought they’d had a medical episode - they could be their lifesaver !
Wasn't that the trucky who helped and nearly got run over?
7:45 the skill with which the truck helps to park the car is v. impressive.
Much of the text-commentary on this vid is weirdly accepting of driving too quickly for the conditions
number 45: bus driving needs his licence taken from him!
Camer just causally corners it at 30 when he should know in his head that someone could potentially pull out especially on a blind bend
15:34: I disagree with the text. The car did jump their light. Remember Green does not mean just go. The Highway code and road traffic act say it means Go if it is clear to do so. It wasn't.
#20 I'm confused, the other guy was already on the roundabout?
Impressed with your wipes between each two clips; most others use a cut! 🎯
Why didnt the prat cammer at 2:15 show some manners and go up left bank ?
1:00:42 the bmw would have been in 3 different mirros, then likely visible in the front window too. driver glanced at one mirror of the 5 he had, likely sat too far back and just went for it
#38 The Zafira's MOT had expired in March 2019. It failed quite badly including for brakes.

I wonder if Megabus ever released a statement on that incident. Should be plastered over social media.
#33 NEVER position yourself in the lorries blindspot and stay there.
I went to the UK some years ago with a friend, stayed for a month, first week... we considered a rental...
Saw so many (about 4 what we assumed to be) tourists head on collide (slow speed fortunately) that we figured it's not worth risking driving since we were accustomed to right side traffic... we took cabs instead...
Should be "Tourist specific" rentals that more or less forces a GPS on you that screams "Left-hand traffic, you are going in to the X file, NOT THE Y FILE" every time that you are not on a open straight road without turns xD

#25.
The car, without question.
The car should have realized that the lorry has a limited field of view and also that it needs a wide berth to take said corner, the fact that the car just "went for it" indicates a complete lack of understanding of basic functionality of a motor vehicle means that they should be found to be at 80% fault....
The 20%? well... the lorry is a "Professional" driver and should realize by experience that... that half the population has an IQ below 100....
WAY to much is happening and no one seems willing to create space for error...

17:25 the motor cycle has committed a road traffic offence by entering the advanced stop area which is for pedal cycles only. The only time you can and must stop there in a motorised vehicle is if the lights change after you’ve crossed the first stop line.
It's also illegal to use a mobile phone when in control of a motor vehicle...but of course, let's ignore that to deflect blame on the cammer 👍
Biker sits on the wrong side of road to tell off another driver, priceless
#12 These types of drivers need to be fined for blocking the carriageway. Use all the lanes and then you wouldn't have single file traffic for miles!
It would be an idiot like you that would be trying to go around whatever it is they all clearly know about.
Siddown. Your bullshit is where issues come from.
If it's two lines until the restriction, then they zip, fine. But skipping the queue on the inside is not good. A standard needs to be set for situations like this.
The civilised in this nation have to time for queue jumpers
#12 is the classic "The lane is closed 50 lightyears away, so let's all just bunch into one lane then complain that normal people, who are correctly using _the open_ lane is "jumping the queue" ... the queue that _YOU_ unnecessarily created!"
How'd you do the Italiacs in your comment?

6:25 This clip is funny, because they would rather block people overtaking to get to the front instead of using the other lane to get around the backed up traffic. People have no common sense these days?
4:54 is that Thornton way towards ince woods mate ?
#94 yes they started to move but they shouldnt have filled the road up as just incase a car lorry would come the other way at the speed limit which I would say was 60mph
Ohh yes, the driver not at fault at all, just keep doing 60, 5 cm from the cyclist.
He should be cycling on the road not on the pavement.
@@Alvio64 I would teach my kid to do the right thing and teach him /her to ride on the road. Good habits start off early.
#17 - speeding means that the driver pulling out would have had less time to see you, or not expected you to have been going that fast. The reaction from both drivers following the incident leaves a lot to be desired. Sticking your finger up to the driver wasn't sensible.
He pulled out while the guy was in front of him..... He never looked 😂😂😂
Yeah, everybody sucks here. If you're speeding, others may not be able to tell and you need to let the little stuff go. But, the BMW driver was being a BMW driver, acting all big and tough.

How about slowing down in the snow and keep in the tyre tracks that are cleared of snow

#76 always an Audi (or other German car)
#88 white van man, always making a dangerous move!

15:20 some drivers seem to think green means go regardless, green means red if road ahead is not clear
Also that goes to the lorry driver as well as clearly could not turn so should of been waiting behind the line even when the light was green at the time for the lorry driver both failed
Was in Reading up behind a similar truck the tailgate was up but the driver had not lifted the tailgate up on the hoist and u couldn't see any lights or number plate. Luckily it stopped at at some traffic lights and l got out and knocked his window. He was out in seconds to lift tailgate. Job done.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence, but there does seem to be an inordinate number of Audi's in these vids.
#12 - "If everyone just queued up and let each other in there wouldn't be any issues ... " Yeah right, like that's going to happen. Most UK drivers just can't seem to grasp the concept of merge in turn.
