  • Chris built us some awesome raised beds and now we're filling them up with a great soil combination to grow carrots, onions, radishes, and beets. Family time outside is the best!

What nice raised beds and shiny green tractor. Your baby is growing up! He likes playing in the dirt. What kid doesn't! Dan is a good guy, I think. Happy Gardening! ~Janette

Thank you! The tractor was last years investment (just in the fall) and we've been loving it for sure! Everything is soooo much easier :) He's definitely growing up fast and I'm loving every minute with him, I'm glad he likes the outdoors and hoping it sticks. Happy Gardening! ~Stephanie

I am all about raised bed gardening. I grow all my vegetables in raised beds. There are benefits to growing this way since its easier on the back & virtually no weeds to pull. Thanks for sharing your raised bed gardens my Friend. Job well done. Best of luck to your growing season.👍😊👍😊👍

Definitely looking forward to less weeds, I am not a fan of weeding lol Never thought about it being easier on the back :) Thank you so much and wishing you the best as well! What do you grow? if you don't mind my asking. Enjoy your night! ~Stephanie

Woot! woot! whatever's on sale :) 3.5 cu. ft. organic soil for 2$ a bag, load em up!
Thank you! For all your awesome content and tips.
Fencing raised beds can be tricky, most of mine are not. Just my raspberries so they have support and don't go everywhere. But I have gates on the fence so i can reach in to prune or weed. Just remember not to fence yourself out too :)
Ha, one year I had to use some portable kennel fence to block off the path between 2 boxes cus a momma rabbit thought that would be a great place for a nursery and my dogs found the nest. They did get one baby, but we stopped them before they got the rest. Don't ask me why I would shelter a bunch of future garden nibblers, I just didn't have the heart to let babies get eaten.
If you get any more of those free wood chips you can put them between the boxes, so you don't have to mow.
    Take care :)

Good idea with the woodchips, I was debating if I wanted to do something in between or not. I agree with you on the baby bunny thing, I always struggle with trying to care for the things that will then destroy my things lol We got the fence around and made sure we could get in and out easily (I said that to my husband, we can't lock me out! lol). Have a great day! ~Stephanie

Hey Chris!!! Good to see you! So cool you got some nice weather to get out there. Raise beds can be a bit of a chore to get started..but the benefits are well worth it. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on square foot gardening. Take care

Chris says Hi! We were definitely excited for the nice day! Snowing again today, but it shouldn't stick. I think the raised beds will be worth it and looking forward to trying the square foot gardening. It was great getting to spend some time with Chris and as a family outside :) Have a great day! ~Stephanie&Chris
