I have never seen a better Silver Cloud in 40 years.
I just read about the history of the car on your website. How touching! I do hope the next custodian (as you so beautifully describe it) will treat the car with the same respect as the Misters C have done. And thank you for all the wonderful work you did to the car, which will ensure it will, in the good hands, be as beautiful in 20 years as it is now! Many thanks for the video.
What a lovely comment which I really appreciate and my pleasure. Thank you so much.
😱 What I fear most, is depending on what country this classic Rolls_Royce goes to. The next owner might decide to electrify it , there by 😔 sadly destroying it !...
The Silver Cloud I-III are my all time favorite Rolls. When I think of ROLLS-ROYCE, these are the cars I think of.
Exactly right. I couldn't agree with you more. John Blatchley got the look just right. Many thanks.
Absolutely incredible, a delight to see one of the best cars produced in its day, and probably putting many modern cars to shame today. Top quality craftsmanship and engineering. When the term Quality actually meant something. All hand made! You will never get this sort of car built again.
You are correct. Glad you like the Cloud. Many thanks.
Totally agree
What a stunningly beautiful example! A credit to its current custodian. One of the most beautiful cars ever made. Every inch of it says top quality. Why are the modern Royce's so ugly?
Phenomenal vehicle, truly mind blowing condition and just oozes class! That's even before one considers the astonishingly long ownership. I love the colour scheme, the two tone sophisticated black and grey and the tasteful green leather against the (burr walnut?) dashboard and door capping with delightful veneer inlays. If it is hasn't been renovated at some point then it truly is astonishing. Nay, even if it has been worked on, it is still a tremendous piece of classic history and certainly far more desirable than many brand new prestige vehicles which have no soul or character, instead they're loaded with afterthought ipads plonked precariously. The fridge magnet sold me! Thank you for the detailed walk around! 👍
That's very nice of you to say so. Yes I think it's a lovely colour scheme too. You have great taste if I may say so. Thank you so much for your very encouraging comments.
absolutely beautiful, now THAT'S A CAR !!
You have good taste. Thank you so much.
Gorgeous example of a well cared for classic Rolls-Royce!!
Thank you. Glad you like it.
Omg, so beautiful, i drive many times white a car like this, but, this is very special. never seen befor in this condition
You're very kind. Glad you like it. Many thanks.
Beautiful car and a good price I should think.
A real classic in an amazing condition.
Really appreciate your kind comments. Thank you.
fabulous, love the green interior. People had taste in those days, not like later models with pale unusauble shades of cream. The equal best colour in my mind is tan ,then dark blue and red.
You have wonderful cars!
Yes, the green interior goes well with the Black. Thank you for kind comments which are much appreciated.
Beautiful Silver cloud!!! I own a Silver Shadow 2 from (1978) Greetings from Italy!!!
Greetings to you. Shadow 2's are lovely. I have a 1977 T2 coming up soon. Many thanks.
Remindss me off the lord provests carr in glasgow reg .no G.O never oott the garage
@@gerrynicol3951 Probably busy filling up with fuel. Thanks for watching.
A truly magnificent vehicle.
Glad you like it. Many thanks.
The only Rolls that I have ridden in was the Mark 1, a six-cylinder engine. They are timeless, and will never be repeated. They frequently outlive their Custodians! With the Moth Damage, I would be buying some wool, dyeing it green. With a Sail Needle, that carpet can be re-tufted and trimmed to a point where it would be invisible. It would be my first challenge - if I owned the car. Greetings from Australia.
Greetings to you. I could but I have deliberately left the interior untouched as I feel that this Cloud almost "stands alone" in that regard. They're only original once, as they say. Thanks for your suggestion though and for watching.
Engine bay appears nice and clean and detailed with silicon brake fluid too ! Nothing worse that a tatty engine bay. I run silicon fluid in my 51 standard bodied MK VI, and it's been great !
Appreciate your sentiments. It's good to hear that you've had good results with Dot 5 silicone brake fluid. May I ask if you have had it installed for some time? I'm interested in hearing any longer term reports on this fluid regarding its corrosion protection properties and anti seize nature. Thanks for watching.
She’s a beauty
Glad you like her. Many thanks.
This car needs to be preserved and who better than rolls Royce at Goodwood it could be used as a sales pitch and how good the product is
I know there are different techniques today as to then but what a piece of history
You're correct, it does need to be preserved. Many thanks for your encouraging comments.
Sorry to tell you that B.M.W at Goodwood ,.I refuse to call them Rolls_Royce. Would want absolutely nothing to do with this old -school car !. RIP Rolls_Royce Rolls_Royce 1904 - 2002.......😢
Look at that oil pressure coming up . . . . and . . . . look at the fuel gauge going down. . . ha haha ha ha
Beautiful. Not keen on black for cars . . . the paint depth is remarkable.
It's in better condition than me . . . and we are the same age.
Yes, let's not talk about the fuel consumption. Glad you like the coachwork. Thanks for watching.
What a beauty 👍🏻
Thanks for your encouragement.
Just listen to massive noise when you open and close the doors, awesome
Well spotted. Thanks for watching.
It is a very stunning car indeed. But given the car is 60 years old, this condition is too good to be true
Thank you and I'm glad you like the Cloud. Yes , to be this well preserved after 64 years makes this a "stand alone" car. Best wishes.
Bit of class very nice.
Thank you. Glad you like the Cloud.
One of the last real Rolls Royces. When they could truly claim to be the best cars in the world. "At 100mph the loudest sound is the ticking of the electric clock. "
Yes, the separate chassis cars are special indeed. Thanks for watching.
Thanks great video and great car. In 1960 sure RR were fast relative to mundane B series engined Nuffield grp cars, but a Mark 2 3.8 Jag would have blown the doors off it. I love these cars by the way and occasionally was given a lift in one to school (along with the likes of mk2 jgs, 420g's) trust me the Jags were quicker.
Great comment. Yes of coarse you're right. I love the MK2 Jaguar I think it was the most handsome car ever made bar none, and a cleverer design than the Cloud. As you will know, the MK2 3.8 was the fastest 4 door saloon on the road in its day and dominated the race track until 1963. Not forgetting the Monza Speed bowl record too. I have 4 Mk2's in storage . Please check out my previous sales page to see a few of the MK2's we've owned over the decades. We like the same cars. Thanks for watching.
Does the rear armrest open to reveal a stowage compartment?
I think I prefer the red T2 in the background!
There will be a video coming soon for the T2 that you like. Well spotted and thanks for watching.
Could you please settle a disagreement my partner and I have ..does the paint have a metallic finish ..I say no ,he says yes …I’d be much appreciative if you could you let me know ..cheers
You're both correct. The top half is Black Pearl metallic and the lower half is Masons Black non metallic. A win win. "Blessed are the peacemakers". You can see some dust on the surface when I was close up. Hope that helps. Best wishes.
You’re showing the ground, but not the car
Unfortunately take it to a classic car show and it would hardly get any interest unlike a 80s hot hatch !
Yes, some of the 1980's cars are really sought after. Thanks for watching.
