I bought a 1961 Rolls-Royce sight unseen and 1000 miles away from home. The car sat for many years and was very broken but I only had 1 day to fix it before hitting the road for a long road trip. Enjoy!

What's a car you regret selling?

Hi bro I'm ine of the first 5 viewers lol
Regret selling? 2006 Acura TSX, 6 speed. Such a good car.
I had a 2005 Ford Mustang convertible. It was Red Fire, had the premium package and the Shaker 1000 stereo system. I traded it in for a brand new 2012 Mustang that had nothing extra. 2 weeks later I was kicking myself. I went from an automatic to a stick shift and that 2012 tops out 118 mph which was the thing that really irritated me because the drive shaft shatters at 135mph and it wobbled when you downshifted from 3rd to 2nd. You could feel it. A piece of crap..
Now I have a 2015 Mustang, that I got brand new 6 years ago and I couldn't be happier. Unless I also still had the 2005. I miss that car.
I’ve only sold 1 car and traded in 1 car.
I miss the trade-in (1985 LTD Crown Victoria).
Regret selling my 300sd Mercedes.
watching Tyler, Samcrac, Rich, Ed Bolian Freddie and Jared fall on the Rolls, reminded me of a bunch of ADHD effected 5 year olds with a new toy , great video , and what a wonderful Roller
Honestly its amazing seeing all these guys together, theyre all down to earth dudes, even the armenian dude. U dont find too many chill armenians in the states.
@@artsarkisyan4095 No Armenians. They are all American born except Freddy who was born in the USSR evidently.
it reminded me of a bunch of self promoting youtubers sucking eachother off.
@@artsarkisyan4095 OMG dude its a TV show on UA-cam. they get paid to do this.
Rich is a douche! I wouldn't let him near one of my cars let alone eat in it.
I'm smitten by the Rolls. It appears to have been loved and appreciated it's entire life. To be as old as it is, cruising the highways, still commanding attention, it makes the statement that the automobile was perfected long ago.
Yea, because driving around at 8.X mpg is perfect! LOL
I used to work on those regularly in the shop. One thing to pay attention to is the SU carbs. They are similar in function to a CV bike carb but are oil damped on the piston. Oil viscosity can adjust your acceleration rate and is effected by temp and humidity. Also that hot air tube is important for the "choke" pull off. Make sure that dist cap is CLEAN on top to eliminate crossfire, don't forget shock oil, and lastly - did you learn about the 3 brake systems? Don't set it too tight on the variable speed system on the side of the trans or you'll find yourself stuck when it heats up. Have fun with the tank! ALSO - the tool sizes are British Standard. Might want to snap some up.
I love how Jared was checking the oil. A mechanic through and through. Love that guy!
the UA-camr hang on the end is just the best, also, Rich straight up drinking mustard . . . made my day.
Samcrac's face when Rich double dipped, the frown, and then the drink and Sam almost lost it laughing.
Absolutely. I'd love to be there hanging out with those guys. Sounds like a great time!
I just really like mustard tbh 🤷🏽♂️
I'm about to put in on a polish. Good stuff for sure.

Rich - You & Sam in the Back of the Rolls Looked Very Natural & Relevant. I’d Love to See a Road Trip with You Three in the Rolls, where No One Rides Shotgun. You & Sam “Crack” Me Up whenever You Two Rascals Join Forces, & You’re Damn-Sure Helping the LSC Channel Get its Deserved Exposure. Keep Kicking Ass Out There, Dude...I Always Enjoy Your Content
I feel like there should be a driving Uncle Rich episode with his assistant & Sam’s step mom.
Ya think !
Painted one of those decades ago - 4 coats of full black Imron, followed by 4 coats of black mixed half and half with clear, then 4 coats of clear. Stunning looking cars when it was finally done!
You are lucky that those old tires didn't delaminate!
Absolutely brilliant video, so very well done and what a fantastic set of wheels.
Do look after her she is an appreciating lady and deserves the very best of attention, loved the drive to the show, more more more please. The electrics can be a bit of a puzzle but once you have it its job done. Love this and thank you, keep up the good work!
This thing is AWESOME! What an interesting and fun project! When it gets back to the midwest I'm gonna have to come check this thing out!

Ya man for sure!
Let's put some dubs on it!

When you put the 2 bottles of fuel additive in at the same time I thought I was watching a Stevewilldoit video
Haha. Where's Steve at?
No way ! you guys watch stevewilldoit !! 🤣
Haha @samcrac I was thinking the same thing
You guys trying to say sword ⚔️ fighting, without saying sword ⚔️ fighting? 😂
The rest of us thought we were watching one of your step-mom's videos.
Thank you for a detailed and factual narration! I had a wonderful experience listening to every word you said. Good luck with your 1961 Rolls Royce -- and may you enjoy driving it for many, many years!
"Thank you Anna"
I like it when people thank workers for doing their jobs. It gives me the warm fuzzies. If there were a thanks button I would'a clicked it.
Omg 😱 this is gonna be so interesting haha, keep it up man!

My all-time favorite car vid! Legendary British engineering that made the Rolls Royce Merlin engine of the Spitfire. Great upbeat-commentary (as usual) and the reunion of all our favorite car-guys at the end was the icing on the cake. Many thanks for recording this. I may even watch it again sometime. Thanks so much. Oz.
One the coolest Rolls in my book, wow great condition great find! 🔥🔥
This feels like some big HOOVIE energy

The intro of everyone messing with the car was gold🙌🏽😂
Only looked at the minute counter when you talked about it. Genuinely a very good video, kept me looking at the screen the all time. Good luck with your RR.
My fav aunt had one back in Scotland …she pampered it and I loved this style because of that memory. Beautiful car
The old tech in that car is fascinating. The paper work is a plus as it adds historical value to the car, what many collectors look for.
Absolutely: That paperwork is worth its weight in gold.
The last scene when you see Alex, Tyler, Ed, Freddy...oh man, I am following all of you basically from the start of your channels and I am so proud of you guys. Well done
Keep up
You all help me keep my dreams alive.
I absolutely LOVE this car! Old Rollers are the most beautiful era of coach-building for this marque. You have bought a piece of automotive art my friend. Well done! I would feel so good cruising in that land yacht of British understated elegance.
Awesome Alex! I must say I was really worried at the start of the video but I think you bought a car that was well loved at some stage in it's life. Nice to see the other guys chiming in, great vid!
A good friend of mine here in FL drops these rolls bodies on older caprice frames and puts 350's in them...Best of both worlds
Now that something I would glad to own
So he specialises in turning silk purses into pigs ears then?

True ;) UA-cam celebs
Best LSC video ever. The ending was legendary!
The video was great but the ending where all the boys showed up was awesome. I love the vibe, glad to see everyone in a natural environment outside of their channel. Definitely a group of well rounded people!
Love having the whole crew help you share in this new experience!!!
I like how you always tell us the rpice of cars and parts. Most channels won't ever say how much they paid for the car!
He’s truly a genuine and honest UA-camr. On top of that a family man. Kudos to you Alex!!
26k for this Rolls is a steal
I love how u diagnose the car trouble, step by step from the simple one. then enjoy the road way back home..
end of the video was awesome
As a car guy I enjoyed this video, well presented, informative with excellent video footage. Kudos.
Alex buys a Rolls and goes on a road trip with his friends ... and here i am, thousands of miles away, with a huge smile on my face. Thanks for sharing your journey Alex!
Check the oil in the carburetors! You can easily find all the parts you need for these cars online from UK suppliers.
Dexron ATF works really well in SU carbies dashpots.
It should be engine oil in the R-R SU carburetors
Love your optimism, made a smile on my face! This vid is pure JOY!!! Thx.
Good to all you guys together n awesome set a guys !..., big fan of all of them for years now .

Honestly excited for you and the next year in your UA-cam career! You mingling with the other car UA-camrs somehow feels like another level. Thanks for the great content!
Now you need a set of Whitworth tools. You will definitely have fun with this one!
I was looking for someone to say this. I've read that most bolts and nuts can be handled by keeping a set of metric and sae tools around, but that drain plug is probably a whitworth specific size.

Dude, that's a great car and great save with returning it back to the road too. What was especially cool was the trip to Amelia and the crew you ran into at towards the end. Outstanding!
He didn't just run in to them. They are all friends and acquaintances.
Good to see all these car guys in the same place. Love the mutual respect!
Great fun and brought back memories of a great SCII owned by a friend in my youth. Thanks.
Nice fly-by and drone shots!
It was funny when we were at the car show my Dad said “look at that Rolls! That guy got some money!” 😂 we looked at it not knowing it was yours! I’m glad we got to meet and chat for a min.

I'm in love with that Rolls Royce! It is beautiful, it looks great in black.
Alex, have fun with the guys.
Lucky to own this beautiful car. The best part in this period of cars were, they were serviceable easily. Today's cars are too much electronics and complications. Love and respect from India⚘
You are so right. When I was younger I owned a 1965 Ford Galaxie 500. I did most of the work myself, to include replacing the fuel pump. Now, in my Chevy Suburban, the fuel pump is INSIDE the gas tank. Totally electric. Gas tank must come completely off. I'll pass on doing that. God Bless India from America. Take care.
Wow, nice :) Greetings from far away Finland!
I just inherited my dad's 1956 Silver Cloud S1. It isn't running right now. It overheats. I think it needs a new thermostat. I will be going through it and getting it in running condition again over the next few months (not one day). This video gave me the inspiration I need to do it.
So cool and amazing development on the road, too .Great story thanks.
Absolutely amazing video. The allure of an old British classic can go either way but this one looks to be in nice condition. Very much looking forward to seeing future videos on this. I run and drive a classic Mini as my daily 😀
Lmao seeing Ed jumping up and down on the rear sill!!!
Very nice storyline and adventure. You did well with this classic Rolls-Royce. So glad it all worked out for you. I really enjoyed watching!

Rich, Sam, Hoovie and Car Wizard in the same video... subscribed. You did a great job, I was hooked all the way through. Story telling was right on point and the work was perfectly explained.
Loved the Grey Poupon...
Thanks! I appreciate that!
The ending of this video got me thinking. You know what would be a cool "Car Trek" or big video? Have everyone there just team up and find some old car that's sat. Get it running, pile all in it and make it to a destination some distance away. Then the car brought would be judged.
I said this on Sam's video as well.. this is literally a collection of almost all of my favorite UA-camrs
26min 17sec --> Absolutely love the picturesque shot. Beautiful!
Man, have seen your videos for years, but this is the one I think I enjoyed the must. Hope you are still having a blast with the Rolls.
Such a cool project!
What a classy, beautiful car! Can’t wait to see more videos on it 🙌🏼
I'm in love with this car. Would really enjoy strolling around Vegas in this. A little short on out of pocket just now though.
This was fantastic! It took me too long to get around to watching since it's a longer video, but it was great to watch!! Always love the entertaining interaction with other youtubers, but it was fascinating to discover some of the crazy and unique aspects of this old Rolls with you! Thank you for the great content!! P.S. So happy you're able to go full time and add Legit Street Quarters!
Let VGG see it.
3:55 The place where the Taylor Imported Motors Inc was is now the Gregory Hall in West Palm Beach, FL. $14,000 in 1961 are equal to $125,042 in 2021 and the cheapest Rolls-Royce on sale in 2021 is the short-wheel-base Ghost that costs $311,900. The $1,400 that he got for the 1956 Lincoln in 1961 are equal to just $12,504 in 2021.
Good gravy. Just goes to show the relative increase in the available market as the upper/ oligarch classes expanded around the globe in the years since. A luxury things in general I think have gotten relatively more expensive, which the cheaper middle has nearly disappeared ( certainly for clothes ) to be replaced by much cheap low price items. I think the marketeers call it a "barbell strategy" for pricing
Nice! thanks for the fun.
This is so dope!! U deserve more subs
Super dope bro love this yep 👍🏾

Great video of a lovely car, and all of my favourite youtubers in at the end. In my youth, as an engineer working for Vickers, I often visited the Rolls Royce Motor Cars factory in Crewe from the mid Eighties through to the end of the Nineties.
The staff there referred to the cars as 'Rolls Royces' or 'Bentleys', but, they all worked at 'Royces' - The Royce name was the engineering heart of the place. As a lad on my own staying away, a kindly staff member would often take me to 'Royces Club' to fill in my evenings
I learned so much about cars from watching your videos!!!!! THANK YOU FOR THE FREE LESSONS!! 😁
Hi Alex. What a find ! Depending if you could salvage the leather facings on the seats ,over here in the UK this could fetch anywhere between $30 to $60 k . The condition of the bodywork is so important and this one appears to be excellent. I think Jay Leno would like this one ! Finished in Mason's Black with the biscuit interior ...superb! Regarding the bodywork only the opening panels are aluminium the rest is steel , that's why condition is everything. Mr. Royce was killed in a flying accident in around 1910 . And that tiny red car was probably more valuable that the Rolls ! Very rare ! Thanks for sharing
