Tangle Teezer Vs Denman | BEST CURL DEFINITION BRUSH 2020?

- Ever wondered how people get those PERFECTLY DEFINED CURLS? Did you spend hundred on curl creams and products, only to end up with frizz and waves? ME TOO SIS!! I only discovered the blessing of these brushes RECENTLY!! I was using the Tangle Teezer detangling brush to detangle AND style, but I heard from another UA-camr named Jayme Jo that the DENMAN brush can step up your styling game! Hey love I’d recommend detaching the head of the denman brush and pulling out two of the pegs. It will loosen up some of that pull you’re feeling 🙂
I have both, I like using the detangler in the shower if needed (my hair is very healthy I rarely experience tangles) I find styling with it makes the hair very frizzy

"I love both lol" but I will go with Denman brush for POP curls, and tangle teezer for detangle and curls.
The Denman side is the best all the way! I recently purchased it and I couldn't believe how much curl definition if creates. I used to do the finger coiling which takes forever and it doesn't hold for more than 12 hours. Denman brush is curly hair's best friend. If you don't have it, you need it in your life!
Love the Denman. Just purchased it a couple weeks ago after watch marines by mel. People really notice a change in my hair. I love watching your page.
I’ve been using the Denman 9 row one an I love it.. it define my curl and set angles so effortlessly. I do like the Denman side better..
I'm from Brazil, i never used any of these, but i have an impression that these brushes don't really do much, your hair that is really good. My hair it's like 3B-3C and i just style with my fingers and it gets really defined at first.
Same. My curls define themselves just fine on their own :) I've tried using detangling tools but my hair doesn't like them.
And what do you use for detangling in the shower ?!
When my hair is in good condition I can detangle with fingers in shower too, but now that I'm some what bleached, I use a common plastic comb of my city that should be around 2 dollars I guess. But I do treatment too. We can talk more. My ig @daniellic9, you can see a lot of pictures of my hair there.
i use the Denman brush and for me its just perfect to detangle my 3b hair,i love it!!

Both sides look gorgeous. As for the brushes, there is a Denman knockoff by babyliss that I tried in comparison to both of these and would actually prefer at least for the styling part, since the bristles are a tiny bit softer/slightly more bendy, but it does make a difference imo.

Your LITTERALY my favourite UA-camr and I feel like for your hair the denman brush was best but for my type of curly hair the tangle teezer is best

my hair used to be like reallyyyyy curly but everyone liked straight hair so i brushed it straight, straightened it, everything. now the top half of my hair is barely even wavy and the bottom half is pretty curly. does anyone know what i could do to help it be more curly??
I'm not a professional or anything, but I'd guess from your comment that you have heat damage. Maybe try deep conditioning more?
With the tangle tweezer you have to do it a certain way

For some reason the Denman brush makes my hair straight and I feel like my curls don’t pop back and it’s kind of damaging 😢😢 maybe my hair is just damaged atm😅
Every time I use a demman it pushes all the water down to my tips and leaving them soaking wet

I think with the 5 row you gonna get more big curls than the seven row :)

Anyone have recommendations to reduce hair shedding for curly hair? My brush has so much hair after every wash. Also anyone have recommendations on how to detangle?I have found my hair to be very hard to detangle recently when it never used to give me a problem. I used to use a regular paddle brush and now have been using the flexy brush and wet brush.
Rachel I used to have a lot of shedding, but when I started deep conditioning my hair got smoother and I detangle with my fingers and then a brush. Hope it works ☺️
I actually tried pre-pooing on a whim and found that it helped me with my shedding quite a bit.
make sure you're not getting hard water damage! I just figured out that's probably my problem rn

True, the way she did it in the Denman vs Tangle Teezer was “wrong” but since then she has fixed it by sectioning. I also like the tangle teezer better :)
