I use the Tangle Teezer brush for detangling in the shower and then the denman brush for styling! For my hair, the denman brush smooths my hair more to promote more curl definition! I get the best of both worlds by using both for different purposes! 😇
Kiah Lammi same
Stephanie Duque I got the tangle teezer brush from Ulta and my denman brush from Sally’s!
Agreed!
Kiah Lammi u should make a channel like for ur hair cuz ur hair is beautiful 😍😍
Same
The Denman brush is meant to be held vertically when detangling and then you can clump your curls horizontally. It makes a huge difference that way.
AllieC TV good to know. Thank you!
AllieC TV Say it louder for the ppl in the back!
I want to clap for u! for saying that.
oh wow I had no idea!! Gonna try that out next time :)
Are there any vids on people showing how to do it properly? Ive tried to do it vertically but haven't had much luck, so was hoping itd be easier to see someone do it
TIP to detangle your hair with the denman brush :
Brush your hair starting from the bottom of your hair to the top/root with the brush in a vertical position and not in the horizontal/typical position, makes a huge difference!
Yup. That's how the brush supposed to be used!
Tbh this should be used with all brushed and Combs so you won't pull your hair out from the roots ! (: Starting from the bottom of the hair to the top
I have done this before and the rubber part came off the handle and got stuck in my hair so I figured i must be using it incorrectly. If thats how it is intended to be used, I'm thinking I might just need to glue it down.
You really can't be lazy with curly hair unless you wanna look like Einstein
Bubble Buster no shade but I find it funny how you’re answering to this comment and your pictures actually Einstein😂. But I agree it can be easy but you just have to do certain things you can’t do eeverything
Ava Ferguson y ol g byu gf fu yum

🤣
Honestly you can. Puff, edges and go. Like sis, I don’t have the ENERGY to do all this shit.
A light color shirt/ top will help us see your hair better. 😉💜
That's what I was thinking too lol
I was about to say this. Thank you!

You actually convinced me to get the tangle tweezer a couple of weeks ago and I although I loved the results I still prefer the ringlets I get with my denmam brush so now I just detangle with the tangle tweezer and style with the denman brush. If anybody wants to make some coins make a 2 in 1 brush for us naturals please 😩
Eli teezer*
The denman brush is not meant for detangling it's meant for styling.
Sinai Aguilar Exactly. Therefore, not meant to be used in the shower. When in contact with water, is designed for the rubber part to glide out for easy cleaning and bristle removal.
@@camilalopez-ho2288 damn that’s probably why my hair has gotten so thin after all these years. It was all I used☹️
I love both sides. The tighter curls and definition on the Denman side as well as the curls on the tangle teezer side. I also think the curls on the tangle teezer side have a lot more volume!
I love that you did this video! I think both sides look great. I do prefer the Denman brush side because I think the curls are more consistent starting from the root. You still look amazing!!!
Girl, you make it look easy. When I'm styling my daughter's hair I want to cry !!
Hi, Thanks a lot for your honest review. After watching it, i bought a Denman brush and absolutely love it. My curls are well defined.
ugh her curlsss 😍😍😍😭😭 literally perfect !!
Amazing results on both sides for sure. But I prefer the Tangle teezer. It can be used for two things (style & detangle) And seems more gentle to the hair when you use it which is always a major plus
Girl you’re so beautiful, you’re hair is amazing.😍 I’m so excited I just got my denman brush and it’s so awesome my curls are so perfect now 🥰
Girl!! thank you for the advices I followed them and I was IN LOVE with my hair, with how it came out 😍😍😍
When her curls already like nice to you before she even does anything lol
omg your curls look like they came from heaven, literally some of the prettiest curls I've ever seen
Your hair is just stunning, regardless of the brush you use!
OMG, your curls are amazing! Going to try the tangle teezer styling today!
I can’t tell you how much I needed this video❤️❤️ thank you so much.
I love your curls!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️... Both sides look great, but I prefer the denman brush side. It looks more defined and cute 😍😍😍...
#notificationgang
Oh my lord the queen listened to my request. Quality content at its best. 👏🏽
Your curls make me wish mine were tighter 😍😭 your mask Monday’s also have become a ritual for me 😂
And her curls make me wish mine were looser lol I wouldn't mind my curl tightness if my hair wasn't so frizzy but gosh, it is lol
i prefer the tangle teezer side. i like how it isn’t so uniform and looks more casual
Omgyy! I have a tangle teeter brush and never new I could do that this was so very helpful. I’ve been more curl form at my roots🤩😍
I have the to go size tangle teezer but I really want the full size because I find that it will be easier to use on a "daily basis" pretty much whenever I refresh or wash. 🤗 But Im loving so far the tangle teezer! Thanks again for this hair tutorial chellis!!! 💕💕
Omg your haircut is sooo cute! I like the denman side better it looks like it has more body and really made your curls pop. I can also see that the tangle teaser has easier use and as someone who spends 30+ minutes detangling I can see why that is appealing. I'm still undecided. X.x
I love both! Your curls are just amazing! Please please please make a video on how you diffuse your hair. I barely diffuse mine because I get so much frizz.
Her curls are so pretty they look the same. 😍
MAN, your hair is BEAUTIFUL!!
I freaking love the Tangle Teezer it is great for both detangling and styling
the tangle teezer changed my whole routine. It just detangles so easy.
Okay but can we take a moment to admire her curls 😍😍
I have been debating on whether I want to get the Tangle Teezer or another Denman Brush. This video really helped.
This video was crucial for me to decide which brush I want to buy, I think in general the tangle teezer is better because you can use it in several steps and denman brush you can only use to stylize! I liked the definition of denman brush more, but I think if you buy a tangle teezer with a more rounded shape the result will be perfect !!! Thank you for making this video, your hair is my inspiration !!! My hair is not curly, it is wavy, but I still get too inspired by your because your hair is the most healthy and well-cared hair I've ever seen in my life !!!!! 💗💗💗
You actually can use the denman brush to style! You just have to use it horizontally and it won’t snag or yank on your hair
@@jeannettenganga5012 no u have to use it vertically
I bought the tangled teezer but although is a good brush for all stages I still prefer the flexy brush by curl keeper for detangling and the denam brush for styling... if you can only buy one then tangled teezer if not I prefer the other 2
Hi....I love your technique...the way u apply your products the way u brush to avoid freeze seem so easy...that was really helpful I'll definitely do that now...thnk u❤
your hair came out bomb! i do see what you mean with the denman brush side, the curls did come out a little more defined but both sides look good
You have such a great curl pattern! I'm still trying to figure out what type I have but it's def between 3a/3b though I have thick hair like you seem to have (correct me if I'm wrong). I'm gonna try this way of styling and hopefully, I can get great defined curls like yours! Thanks so much for sharing
there's a website called treat your skin. and it sales the same one. The Tangle Teezer the wet detangler brush. and on the website is selling for $11.50. I've heard they also sell it at Ulta
The denman brush side looks greeeeat, I love it! Both are beautiful though😍
I love your videos and the way you explain everything!... very helpful 😉 blessings! 💕
Yo your hair is SO freakin' beautiful. Honestly both sides look fantastic regardless. So if I were you I'd probably just stick with the tangle teezer brush
It’s definitely easier to detangle your hair with the tangle teezer but with the denman brush I prefer using it to style my hair. I feel like it’s easier because it’s smaller but also the way that the rolls are it makes it slightly easier. The results are also better for my curls but tbh there isn’t much difference in it. 🥰
Franchelli do you ever do your wash and go routine before bed? And what is your night routine !? Thanks !
I can see tiny frizz as well with the Denman Brush side. Both sides are pretty though. Both sides are pretty. I prefer the look of the Denman side. Thanks for your video.
U r so pretty.🤗💜 I like the Denmar brush side as ur hair has a lot of volume...something my hair lacks...lol!! Great tutorial!😉
Thank u I’ve always wanted to know how to do this process without have a part it always bothered me
The results turned out beautiful 😀😍
I like the results from the Denman brush better :)
Denman brush side looks better. Defined and juicy curls. I remember I tried a tangle teezer and over time I believe it was causing split ends from the plastic being so pointy on the ends so be careful. I discontinued using it and havent had an issue since.
I heard those same complaints from people who've used tangle teezer.
ᴍᴏᴄʜᴀ ʙᴀʀʙɪᴇ ೃೕೂ really? Wow, this comment is so helpful thx cuz I was gonna buy a tangle teezer
@@lydiaslavalamp751 You're welcome, I was about to also until I realized.
YES as some one who's been using the tangle geezer for 4 years it does cause unnessary breakage and split ends I got the worst of it and my hair went from medium thickness to fine hair!! Because of the tangle teezer so starting this year I stopped using it and my hair is bouncing back and friends and family are saying my hair is growing more. I also noticed the amount of trims I do decreased drastically after I stopped so I retained more length. As someone who's had the worst of it I recommend people to stay away from that brush. It took me so long to realise because at first I had the original one then I lost it after like 2 years then I brought a cheeaper fake one (I used it for 1 year) then I THOUGHT it was because I had a fake one that my hair was not improving so I brought another real one and used that for 1 year last year and starting this year I decided to stop using all brushes all together.
@@michiga5220 so what do you use now to detangle?
You are so gorgeous!! I wish my hair was that pretty 😭
I love the Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie! It also smells AMAZING! I wanna eat it all the time
I think the smell is hideous and really strong. That's the only issue I have with it.
That will leave you with thin hair
@Janiya Gowdy Stop using that product before its too late. Other people (like myself) learned the hard way a while back.
Where can I get this tangle teezer? I’d use the tangle teezer for detangling and the denman for definition. I normally don’t use tools, but I’m curious to try them both.
heartxinspiredx I think I’ve read that Ulta has it.
KiraiBK Thank you for that! I’m gonna check them out 🖤
heartxinspiredx You’re welcome
Ultra has it
Trice's Tresses - Patti Duke Thank you! 💓
I actually bought the tangle teezer because you recommended it. Ha! And it’s the last product I’m buying that a UA-camr recommends. I need my coints! Lmao. But yes I had the same issue with the deman brush in the beginning of my journey- trial and error. It ripped my hair out. However, I LOVE the tangle teezer! It glides so smoothly & effortlessly over my tresses.
I appreciate your careful and logical approach to the video, to answering questions and demonstrating everything in an efficient manner. The Denman brush has more rigid bristles, so it gets more tension on the hair, which would give more pole and more pop to the finished curl. The tangle Teezer is made to be gentle on hair, and has more flexible bristles? That makes for gentler detangling, but also less tension when creating those popping curls. My first time watching a video of yours, but I am Curious to see more. Subscribed!
Her room is so aesthetic
your hair is beautiful!
I was literally JUST thinking about Venom while looking through hair tutorials and then??? You're wearing a Venom shirt???? What a trip 😂😂😂
Thanks for the video, yes I can see the tesser side was easier to style both sides looks good I will try tesser on my hair to see if I notice a difference
Wow your hair is amazing girl ❤️
I have both of those brushes and I am going to try that method.
I have 2 months using the denman brush and I love it!!!!!
Hey where do u go to cut hair ? I live in New York and I haven’t cut my hair but I love urs
You’re such a beauty!😍 Helpful video thanks!
Your hair is just bomb😍 Can you do a video on best detangling products/ routine
I’m so glad that I’m not the only person that has problems with the Denman brush and feeling like it’s snagging. I have to do such small sections in order for the dam and brush to give me any form of results because my hair is so dense
Another tip is to take out every-other-row of bristles from the denman brush if you have very thick hair. I've seen it done on some of the UA-cam videos and it seems to work well for people with super thick/dense hair.
Thank you. I’ve just tried wetting my hair down even more and I think it just needs to be sopping wet for the brush to work.
Love this review. I just ordered both brushes 😂. Denman side is my fave.
Have you ever used the small, round tangle teaser brush? Any opinions on it?
Does the blow dryer matter when it comes to diffusing? Have you tried different blow dryers and noticed a difference in your wash and go definition?
Notification gang 🤗🔥💃🏽
I also have curly hair (3b/c) but when I get out of the shower I already have frizz and it doesn’t go away even when I put in my products. I dry my hair with a cotton towel btw after I get out of the shower. Do you think the frizz is becaus of how (much) product I put in my hair or because it’s not wet enough ??
Yeah I really like the denman for the consistency on your hair. But yes having two brushes is annoying
I want to try a tangle teezer brush!
I wonder if you take some of the bristles out of the denman would it change. I’ve seen some ppl do that.
Denman side looks better but the other side still looks great😊
I seen the tangle teeter but without the handle . It has the curve shape but it would still have the same effect 🤔 meaning easier to detangle ?
I just love your hair, you are beautiful
i was really hoping the denman brush would look better in this vid because i just bought it yesterday and let me say, it was expensive... i'm gonna try it out today!
Me too! I bought mine yesterday 😂😂
New subscriber 👻 I found my hair twin 😍😍 your curls are gorgeous
Notification gang gang💁🤗🙌😘👌💃
Have you tried the black denman brush? It doesn't slide out like the pink one does.
You persuaded me to get this tangle tweezer brush and I love it! 💕.. I experienced the same issues with the denman- just felt like I was ripping my hair out.. so I’d have to go in with a detangling brush and then use the denman for styling.. this tangle tweezer brush is like a 2 in 1 and when I use it I noticed that it takes so much less time to style my hair
I prefer the Denman brush side. I have to tell you, if I don't want to break my fingernails, I have to use something to pry out my Denman bristles. If yours just slides out oh, I think it's defective! Mine is really stuck in there!
Try it when it's wet. Mine then slides out but dry it's killing not just my nails but also my fingers haha
They're supposed to slide out so you can put different bristle sizes in there
Whats the name of the spray bottle ? It looks so cool how it sprays the water out
i'm pretty sure it's a fine mist spray bottle, comes up if you search that on amazon or whatever :)
Ayera oh cool ! thanks 😊I’ll check it out
Ayera I checked and yes you’re right I googled it and they have same one or at least it looks like it on Sally’s beauty for 6.99 😁
Ha ha I wanted to know the same thing about the mist bottle! So glad I scrolled down & read the comments 😘
Any tips for 3a, 3b, 3c and 4a hair? I really need help with my hair.
I have the lavender tangler teezer brush and my hair is as straight as a post lol
You are beautiful
😍😍😍😍 you are so gorgeous!!
You have beautiful curls!!!
My hair looks a lot like yours. It was really healthy and perfect like yours is in this video and then I blow dried, curled, bleached, (everything) the shot out of it before my wedding and ruined it to where half of it won’t even curl anymore and it holds no moisture I just look crusty all the time 🙄. It was pretty long and I had to cut a lot of it off and now I have about 4 inches worth of healthy new hair. I can’t wait to chop the rest off and start over and have shiny juicy strands again.
The flexi brush is also really nice. I feel like less hair comes out
I can’t wait to try it
When will you do any reviews on soultanicals?
I love both sides😍😍😍
Can you please leave the link for the tangle teaser brush? Want to make sure I buy the right one
Can you use a Denman brush after gel/mousse ?☺️☺️🤔🤔
Can you make a tutorial for this makeup look ?? 😍
Hi!! Where did you get your water bottle from?
Where did you get this Tangled Teezer brush???? I need it
can you use both the bruses
for 3a to 3b hair?
