Exactly! What was there to refresh?? LOL..and I had never heard of a Denman brush..wth? It looks like any old brush! I have curly hair with wringlets and all I do is comb it through with a pic, coat it in gel and conditioner, scrunch it and thats it..why all the sectioning and special brushes??
Beautiful results with both brushes! I just used my Pattern Beauty brush for the first time today, and loved it! My hair is so defined and moisturized! I will be reaching for it more.

It’s amazing how the different curl patterns act. If I put a denman to my 4a 4b curls, they shrink more than usual. My denman brush is heavy and the handle is slippery. How about patterns? Hmmm, I like the denman side better. Nice video! Thanks for the comparison. 😀

I noticed you brushed both sides differently.. on your right side you had the denman brush bristles facing the camera & you brushed it going away from the front of your face . And did the opposite on the other side you had the bristles facing the wall & brushed towards the front of your face ? Idk if it makes much of a difference or not ?
Great video, thank you! I know this is old so I'm not sure you'll see this comment, but can you please tell me more about that water bottle you use? Mine is a regular spray bottle and it hurts my hand to squeeze it so many times. It looks like yours continually sprays with the touch of a button! If you're able to link the product, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Ashley Rodriguez she actually is a fan of clumped curls that’s why she uses the denman, but if you want separated curls use the patter beauty brush

Woow is that your natural curl you re so lucky. I use the Pattern brush but my hair doesn't end up looking that nicely defined... I still use it in the shower. Just discovered the denman brush but I don't need both.
You should compare the Denman brush with the Bounce Curl Define Styling Brush. I am curious to see the difference in the results.

I have both. They are the same, curls form the same, exception is the Pattern brush is weighted.

I did like either brush. The bristles were too rough for my scalp same with that tangle teaser. Only a wet brush and some goody brand brushes work for me.
Pattern brush side looks more curly , but both look great

I only own a pattern brush. Have never used a denman. Good to know there’s no difference. I used my pattern brush to both detangle and style.

I have a mixture of fine and coarse wavy and curly hair. I definitely notice a difference on my own hair. I felt like the Pattern brush held tension down the section better than the Denman.
if you like the pattern look denman has the same exact brush in all black, it’s cheaper & more flexible

I love my pattern beauty brush WAY MORE than the denman. Don't know why but it just seems to elongate my curls more.

I think the pattern beauty brush will give you different results.
I use a Denman dupe by Goodie, because I tried the Denman while I was staying with my sister, but there was no way in hell that I was gonna spend that kind of money on a hairbrush that I only use once a week lol I didn’t notice a functional difference. The only issue with the Goodie one is that it’s made of wood, so I worry about using it in the shower, but it’s lasted fine so far for the year I’ve used it. Gonna get the Cantu brush next

It’s definitely not the same for detangling. I I use the pattern brush to detangle my hair in the shower. The denman is NOT a detangling brush. The pattern shower brush is a detangling brush.

Denman is a solid brand, but there are no magical qualities that it possesses that other brushes don't lol. The key here is the bristle spacing and quantity. There are of course lower quality brushes out there, and clearly denman puts effort and research into their brushes. Other companies can do the same. It wouldn't surprise me that Tracee Ellis Ross would also put in that effort, especially as her styling products are getting great reviews, and as a mixed woman she is trying to provide products that are needed for people like her. You should consider doing a comparison with a cheap denman brush dupe, the denman, and the pattern beauty brush on three sections that are right next to each other instead of on either side for easier comparison. And PS, I send people to your channel to learn to get the brush curl method down :-)
I came for the promised content but am leaving b/c of all the commercials! First there were 2 small commercials right at the beginning - then at least 1 minute of "content time" really just being a pitch for Aubible. Right around 3 minutes, it seemed finally headed into content but then WHAM! --- up popped 1 ad of 2 (25 seconds). I can't!!!!!! No issue here w/ a UA-camr looking to make some coin but sitting through essentially 3:30 of commercials is not useful to me.
