    I was a cabinetmaker for 35 years. Over that time I tried many "multi-tip" screwdrivers and found them all wanting. About halfway through my career, I discovered the Picquic brand and everything you said about it is true. It's the only multi-tip screwdriver I like and I still use it now I'm retired.

    I have been using them for about 25 years now, love them. I have several. And the bits also work in cordless screw drivers and impact drivers. And the longer 3" bits will usually access recessed screws that 1" bits can't.

    I’m Canadian and over here, you can easily buy these screwdrivers, they’re for sale in many kinds of stores. I have a good amount of tools and sets of top quality screwdrivers, but I always keep Picquic Multis around and accessible. I have one in the miscellaneous kitchen drawer, one at my girlfriend’s place, just in case and a stubby I keep in my bag. They’re awesome. I’ve been using them for years and never lost a bit.

    What I like about these screwdrivers is that they use standard 1/4 impact bits. So you can put them on your impact driver, the screwdriver kinda double as a carousel for holding your impact bits(I actually never bought a set of bits for my impact driver, I just use the picquic bits). Also, since they're standard, if you need different bits than what's included (let's say you need special security bits), then you just need to buy a standard 1/4 impact bit of the right length and it will work with the picquic.
    Also, a nice tip: I bought colored bits, where green = #1 size, red = #2 size and black = #3 size. Now you can select the right size of the bit you're looking for even quicker!

    These are so ubiquitous in British Columbia I never really realized they weren’t used everywhere. They’re not my every-day at work drivers (as I just can’t stand multi bit drivers either), but always have one of the slim ones in a kitchen drawer, and one in each tool box. The bits are strong enough to use in an electric driver in a pinch too.

    Ive used mine for 5 years now. There are things i dont like about the shape and design and ive been looking for a new multibit for the last 2 years with no luck. Ive tried the klein, wera, milwaukee, they all suck.
    The thing i wish picquic would change is the shape of the handle. The part where the handle meets the bit holder is such a sharp angle i can never seem to get into a tool bag or tool pouch. Only the bit holder slides into it and its not secure at all. It drivers me nuts cause its constantly falling out of my tool pouch and bag. Other than that, its good. Havent found any other multibit i prefered to this one.

    hmm i finally found the Klein 15 in one ratcheting that I really like maybe will have to see if this is better. regular flip end replaceable tip ones i always loose the tips or have damaged tips the Klein has a nice system of a slide open handle with 7 double ended bits held in clips inside have you tried that one?

  • @ranger178
    @ranger178 Рік тому

    one question is are the tips replaceable with standard driver tips from impact driver sets or are they a weird length that you have to only use their tips?

    • @arlingtonhynes
      @arlingtonhynes Рік тому

      It’s an unusual length.

    • @333rpd
      @333rpd Рік тому +1

      They are standard 3" bits, so easily replaceable. The longer bits are nice as they can fit into recessed holes that one inch bits won't go into.
