nothing beats an old chevy with headers and straight pipes

Ford sounded bad ass even with the 5.0 the Chevy sounded pretty snappy and it's not the Audio cause the ford and dodge didn't do that but this is a badass video just proves fords sound the best!

so true, my trucks straight piped and pops and cracks and is loud. My '85 fox body mustang has flowmaster super 40's on it and an h-pipe and is loud enough and sounds beautiful. Wouldn't want to put straight pipes on it to begin with. Only old trucks that are meant for mudding should be straight piped.
I'm a chevy guy but the ford and dodge sound way better. Plus the ford is one slick truck!!

The cat on the ford really makes a difference on the way it sounds shockingly enough, I like the sound that it gives off but it just doesn't seem right to me with a cat that's not beat out or no cats at all under it. Just my two cents on the matter.

My gf has a 96ram with the 5.9 in it and im workin on straight pipen it it sounds bad ass
well gmc and chevy are the exact same drivetrain just with different badges. i have a 91 k1500 just bought actually it say for 5.5 years in a mans yard brought a battery with me and drove it home 30 miles without an issue
i think the ford sounds the best. the chevy and dodge both have more of a popping noise.

Try a 92-97 Ford F150 with a 351 with the exaust chopped right after the Conjoiner. (Basically headers) Best sound you'l ever hear come out of an Gas motor's exaust

Best part. Competing brands of same era with their motors they compete against each other with all ext cab short box and straight pipes coming out at 45s. Lol bunch of hick buddies doing the good old brand war and competing with each other. All in all 3 nice ass trucks that all sound great, but the dodge definately gets my vote. I like throaty yet rapping all in one and the dodge delivers. Ford is throaty and Chevy is rappy

That old Ford sounds straight up badass. I'm not really a Dodge fan by any means but the Ram was pretty nice, too. But in the shot where the Chevy was driving down the road, it sounded like a damn ATV. The Ford won by a long shot.

dude this vid is sick, good job. I cant believe the Dodge isnt true dual, mine has 1 highflow cat 2.25 piping out to a y-pipe no muffler as well and it isnt nearly as loud as that one. All trucks sound good, but the dodge is best in my opinion.
okay 9/10 times im a chevy guy but whoever did the exhaust on that beaut didnt do it right cause my 79 gmc 2500 is straight piped with dual glasspacks on it and it sounds like a dream

A y-pipe is the piping that connects after your manifolds. Most people with true dual exhaust cut out their y-pipe to make two separate pipe flow. My point is, you probably already have a y pipe from the factory. i would reccomend an x pipe.

now but a large X pipe on each and we do no more pop pop pop pop then you get a nice hum that sounds better.....

my 97 f150 5.4 with a 4 inch straight pipe all the way back off the y pipe would shut all 3 of these trucks up :) im my opinion the dodge and chevy were way to poppy, more or less for loudness over sound quality.
