Really enjoyed this two part story. It would be interesting if you could explore creating your own logo and adding it to the watch dial, that would really make it custom!
@@camenskycameron8413 I just wanna make my own logo and have it extruding like my idea is a four leaf clover and the word or Pronoun Quinn cuz it’s my last name
Im in the process of ordering parts for my own field watch. Ive found this series the most down to earth, and helpful one of the many modding videos of UA-cam. Good work dude. The bad thing, is that im already planning my second one before ive even ordered the parts for my first.
I’ve made two just order parts for a third… now I’m deciding which movements to try next haha. I’m giving one of them to my dad for a retirement present though so I’m not counting that one haha.ive been doing NH35A movements. I’m struggling to decide between gmt next or chronograph.
I'm on my second watch build and I'm waiting on parts for a titanium case diver to arrive. It's so rewarding and gives you endless pleasure seeing something on your wrist that you assembled/built. Also it's a nice present to give a loved one a custom watch to their specs and design!
Would you be able to put out a video tutorial on how to search for and find the parts? Like how you make sure the parts will all work with each other, keywords you use to find specific styles of hands, cases, faces…
Yeah I back this, would love to see how you pick and choose what you order and how to make sure you’re getting the right parts - especially for absolute beginners like me
This watch wasn’t feminine at all even with the other bracelet. Was very enjoyable to watch and to see your pure excitement of making and upgrading your watch. I’m at the start of my watch making journey and stuff like this is really helpful and exciting to watch.
Built my very own after seeing your first watch video and I'm obsessed! I made the mistake of not getting a hand pusher or the fancy blue tack, so the seconds hand took me a while to get on but nothing beats wearing a watch you built every day :)
rodico has lots of uses with watch building! its very handy to get tiny specks of dust off a watch face with out harming it and i liked to place items i didnt wanna lose in it like screws etc when i used to service watches
i just ordered parts yesterday for my first build thanks in part to this series making it look approachable. Its a Seiko and somewhat funnily i did white and silver with the cyan lume and hands
I love watching these. I've now built close to 15 watches(I need to stop, help me please) since your 62MAS homage where you got me hooked on this hobby. I can't wait to watch the next one. Cheers
I recently started building NH35 based watches and enjoy your content. By accident I found that a tiny amount of rodico on the tip of the second hand pusher grips the hand directly over the post. With a decent magnification I can line up and push the hand on easily. Also the grippy back of the case cushion is excellent for removing/tightening screw-in case backs.
amzwatch You are so well-informed about luxury watches. You've obviously done your due diligence and the comparison to the US is very informative...because of course, I live in New York. thank you very much
Amazing mate, please keep doing these vids. I've ordered my first tools to play arounf with my watch and you inspire to try and build my own from scratch
I just got into watch collecting. I've loved watches since I was young but I never had anyone teach me or bring deeper into the world. amzwatch brought closer to a community and hobby I always wanted to get into more and that is incredibly meaningful to me !
The boy is learning...but twist the rodeco to a point and it's sticky enough to barely pick up the hand by its pointy tip allowing you to place the hand and push fit it with the slightest touch
lovely summerwatch oh so fresh and clean you ever have questions i am a watchmaker from holland so just ask!! rodico is watchmaker third hand and carbon tweezers very nice and yes movement holders you realy need!!!
I have here latex gloves, finger cots and a bag of cotton gloves, took me a while to find cots that I could put up with as I have super thick hands and fingers, my little fingers are both Z's and my middle finger is Z+4... standard cots just don't fit nor gloves but the cotton ones do stretch enough to not be restrictive.
Watch out for cotton as it can leave fibers on the movement. If you can find aftermarket nitrile or latex gloves in extra large you can cut off the thumbs and see if they fit.
Jubilee is way better than the Oyster bracelet!! Also a nice addition that you have the Glidelock adjustment on it, which the real GMT doesn't actually have! Wish mine did!
i feel like it would probably easier for you to have a much lower chair/much higher desk (that is the setup most matchmaker use) other than that great job
1:00 My Vostok Komandirskie watch also is like that. The hour and minute hands are out by 5 minutes and the 24 wheel of this model is out by 20 minutes from the hours hand. Not that this bothers me as it does not affect reading the time and is part of the Russian made roughness of it. The most watchmaking I have done is regulating this piece and modifying 3 Casios.
It will sound weird but when my plastic tips tweezers wear out, I just sharpen them with an exacto knife. Works like a charm to make a propper sharp tip
Hell yea, great video. Funny enough I ended up building my own "bruce wayne" style GMT watch after you first built this watch. Seconds hands are really tricky!
And gmt hand shud be above hour hand if we speaking with Rolex inspired in mind. P/s if you have near to you any local vapemod vendor you can buy a ceramic tip tweezer.
I have the parts on the way to build a custom Omega Speedmaster Alaska Project, but with a logo designed by me :D And it was all due to this guy's videos hahaha
Nicely done, that was professional work even too professional for a cheap japanese movement 😂. I have really enjoyed your work and of course not everyone would agree with you about how gorgeous is the watch but that is because it is your own work and sweat. When will you fix old watches?
Question, why couldn't you just adjust the GMT hand to line up with the hour and minute hand? I can adjust the GMT hand by twisting the opposite direction from the date settings on the crown. Did it still just refuse to line up then?
Really enjoyed this two part story. It would be interesting if you could explore creating your own logo and adding it to the watch dial, that would really make it custom!
Please dude I’m trying to do this myself the dimensions are hard to work with in gimp lmao
Did you watch all the way to the end?!
I think it’d be cooler if he’d engrave the logo into the crown,
He pretty much made the logo-less dials his thing and I learned to like it
@@camenskycameron8413 I just wanna make my own logo and have it extruding like my idea is a four leaf clover and the word or Pronoun Quinn cuz it’s my last name
My first name is Cameron so I like ur name lmao
Continue with this custom watch videos! I absolutely love watching you build watches, since you don’t do it in a professional/corporate way.

yes!! its so wholesome :)

Really enjoying this content Elliot, makes me want go back to analog again! So cool. ❤
Would you be able to put out a video tutorial on how to search for and find the parts? Like how you make sure the parts will all work with each other, keywords you use to find specific styles of hands, cases, faces…
Just search NH34/35/36 then add dial, hands, case etc. I search for nh35 case, nh35 dial, nh35 hands. You'll find exactly what you need.
Check the description. That’s where he gets his parts.

Your enthusiasm made me click that subscribe button... Absolutely stunning build, i recon for my own build instead of buying from vanilla watch brands
omg I love the turquoise color
rodico has lots of uses with watch building! its very handy to get tiny specks of dust off a watch face with out harming it and i liked to place items i didnt wanna lose in it like screws etc when i used to service watches
I personally would go for the discreet jubilee bracelet as this one has a very sharp clasp.(mine did anyways)
i just ordered parts yesterday for my first build thanks in part to this series making it look approachable. Its a Seiko and somewhat funnily i did white and silver with the cyan lume and hands
It looks so cool loving this series.
So am I!
I was glad to see this pop up in my feed. Thanks for creating this.
Just found your channel and was asking my parents I wanted a good automatic watch now I have seen this and the first one am going to make my own😊

Awesome upgrade! 👌 Man, I feel the same way about the finger-doms 😂 Definitely make the fingers numb afterwards, and they are also quite slippery.

I would've never been interested in watching somebody build watches or a scooter, but somehow I enjoy both when Elliott does it.
I am so glad to see a part two on this ! Really liking your watch content !
Keep on going ! 😁🙏🏻
Omg I have just ordered all the bits to make mine exactly the same 😮
The boy is learning...but twist the rodeco to a point and it's sticky enough to barely pick up the hand by its pointy tip allowing you to place the hand and push fit it with the slightest touch

Hey your videos inspired me to start making watches and i finished my first one a couple days ago its super fun thank you for making these vids
You really hammered us with ads on this one…
Thank you for inspiring me to make watch content
Very nice Elliot!
ive been binging all your content on both channels since finding these watch videos lmao inspiring stuff.
the new bracelet fits so well!!
Jubilee tapering is always the best.
im loving these watch videos!!
Great work!
Really nice job you did elliot
Well done. Super nice looking watch. Those AliExpress parts can be extremely good quality.
Loved the first video. Its even better with the new band. I have the same one on my galaxy watch 6 classic.
Would love to see you make a open heart Watch!!
the custom watch is insane
Hey man I saw that u didnt link the movement holder, I would love it if u did
It's like the DS wire removal and install the whole time
Great vid cheers

I use a hockey puck as a cushion… works wonders

Another custom watch video, yes man 👍🏽👍🏽

Love the colour you chose for this watch really great content if my eyes 👀 were good enough I really would give making one the same a go.👍👍🙏
love that Casio, I've got the same one
Great job
Nice watch. I wonder if there’s a bezel that’s half blue half silver. That would be so nice
You should get a domed crystal too
it is stunning man, wow....
Very Nice, just wondered why it took you so long to use the movement holder you bought 😂
love the tiffany blue color 🥰 but i like the oyster band more than the jubilee one
Hell yea, great video. Funny enough I ended up building my own "bruce wayne" style GMT watch after you first built this watch. Seconds hands are really tricky!
awesome video man! would be great if you did a marinemaster homage, like the original but with sapphire and full lumed ceramic bezel etc.
Great job man, love to fallow you... Frédéric from Paris France.
I love your videos!! I really want to build or buy a custom GMT 😢
Not something I'd wear, but damn that is a good looking watch
love the meticulousness, do the bezel next. It seems slightly misaligned 😅keep up the builds!
I'm also thinking about making a Seiko Nh36 powered daily driver
Amazing
I love kislux that on the butterfly bag it says auguri / tanti auguri which means happy birthday
And gmt hand shud be above hour hand if we speaking with Rolex inspired in mind. P/s if you have near to you any local vapemod vendor you can buy a ceramic tip tweezer.
Another banger mate! Whats your sort of wait time from Aliexpress?
Yeah that’s a cool watch
About the GMT hand, would be just moving/setting it to align?
At least on a ronda 515.24H the GMT hands moves freely on the setting position
boutta build my own this weekend
Good luck!
@@TheRetroFuture2 Thx
I have the parts on the way to build a custom Omega Speedmaster Alaska Project, but with a logo designed by me :D And it was all due to this guy's videos hahaha
Just made my own watch today. Handy are the hardest part
Really wanna build my own watch might have to
u the man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rly enjoyed
Thats a lot of that blue stuff! Just pinch a lil of it and stick it at the end of a toothpick next time 😂
Hey
I see that there are a lot of dial size options available 29, 31 mm.
What size should be ordered to fit this submariner style case?
Nice
Nicely done, that was professional work even too professional for a cheap japanese movement 😂. I have really enjoyed your work and of course not everyone would agree with you about how gorgeous is the watch but that is because it is your own work and sweat. When will you fix old watches?
Michael J Fox helping with the hand placement.
White rubber sports strap!
It will look better on a white oysterflex integrated strap
I don't really get watches but... Elliot is nice
Small tio: you Should not be blowing on the movement side, can blow oils out of place. Love the enthusiasm.
Do you work on high end watches?
Looks beautiful!
amzwatch Literally the happiest place we men are!
what is the best way to trim the crown stem?
Seeing these videos makes me wanna build my own. Anyone know where I can get the parts I need?
Are all of the lume the same color as the dial? Cus when I ordered from the list the hands are green and the dial is blue.
Doesn’t the GMT hand move independently from the other hands when you’re at the date selection function and turn the crown the opposite direction?
wristwatch revival if he were more chaotic but in a funny way:
Did you check out oil filled watches?
They look sooo trippy
Question, why couldn't you just adjust the GMT hand to line up with the hour and minute hand? I can adjust the GMT hand by twisting the opposite direction from the date settings on the crown. Did it still just refuse to line up then?
The alignment of it was off.
it was installed wrong
i made the "who cares..." watch but the second hand was not fitting... so i messed it up in that point :D but i finished it and it works i guess :D
Is it possible do not use the movement holder into the case watch?
