Definitely appreciate this video as I had ordered a pro tank ring and the 5-8 liter day bag then later that day I was looking at my gas cap and my mind went "Where are the screws?" I had one before on an R9T I had and loved it. Just picked up a 22 tuono. If anyone else is entering the tuono fun, I also recommend the voigt bar risers. Super good quality and I'm happy so far.
You can use any givi tanklock bag as well, you just open the fuel cap, unscrew it and lift the ring up, givi tank ring slips underneath and voila. I have a ventura rack but use a sw motech tail pack
@@WildlifeMoto yeah mate, any pack fits on well, the ventura rack just gives it a nice sturdy base, done a few decent tours on the Tuono and it’s not a bad sports tourer
Great review! Did the plastic bottom deform when you installed the new top piece with the five screws/ nuts? The void left from the threaded stand offs on the original collapsed mine when I tried to torque them to the SW-Motech specification per the instructions. I have a Ducati Panigale, looks like a cap base from a Tuono will work on the Ducati as the top ring appears to be the same.
I have the previous model and yes this micro bag is absolutely mandatory.. My only complaint is there's no good way to secure the tank on the bike. This red strap is good but too easy to open. I managed to put a screw through the backplane and then your only way to open is from the inside. More secure.
Great product review WM. I think I prefer the GIVI tank ring setup & click-in/out setup. Personal preferences. Tuono tank ring installation looks fiddly with pins to knock out & then in. Damn Italians. 🤦♂️ Oh wait, so is GIVI😉
Great vid as usual, thanks! If i were you i think i'd have modded the "throat" that makes it a bit of a chore filling up with petrol. I have seen it done in another video and immediately thought "that's what i will do too some rainy day!" : ) Here's the vid: ua-cam.com/video/0VE0rwYOtcw/v-deo.html Now, i don't really fancy the new cap he puts on, but the "throat mod" is brilliant! Cheers!
Just like this solution a very tidy review. Definitely going to consider this unit for my 21 Tuono when is lands down under. Thanks mate

Just ordered the SW Motech Pro Micro for my 765RS.
Thank you for this video it was the reason I made the purchase 👌
Hey me too for my 765rs! 😊
@@heibaimao Nice bro, they are waiting for a shipment from Germany so my order won't be coming until after 2nd August.
Great review, very professionally done and just what I needed to make the Tuono a little more touring friendly, thank you
Thank you 👍
Looks like a quality tank bag Form SW- Motech , never tried their stuff before , but I`ll sure be checking them out now , Thanks J great review.
Thank's to this video, I mounted the tank ring on my Tuono in 10min.
Nice one 👍

Great tip, thanks. The SW tail bag fits the Ventura EVO rack ok?

SW Motech, which model you mounted ?
My 21 Tuono doesn’t have external screws on the gas tank, how would the mount work on that??
The Tank ring is for this particular model of the Tuono
You need to get the tank ring with the adapter for italo models you'll know it's the right one because it's like £50 instead of £27.
As an american, the first thing that came to mind when i saw the tank bag, was for my gun 🔫 🇺🇸 great video!

Thanks mate. Yes the throat mod looks good, thanks for sharing.
Typical aprilia having no bolts on the cap £50 instead of £27 awkward buggers 🙄
Also thanks for the video I was getting really nervous tapping those pins out haha
Same for Ducati Panigale, but the plastic base is more robust on the Aprilia.
