the frame is super easy to attach, they included all the hardware, just gotta bolt it on.
I think everyone who's opened one of those boxes can't keep a goofy grin off their face. My two nitpicks: 1. Where's the sticker that went behind the pack? 2. How come one of the side hoses is black when it should have been blue. Lastly, my recommendation for a video: Compare the old prototype photos to the final product, what changed? what stayed the same or improved?
I liked the cyclotron lights on the prototype a bit better and feel like they were more screen accurate
Does wand come with pac?
They definitely fixed the ladder frame on the booster, to give it that 'cobbled together from pencils' look.
The ladder improved thanks to Adam Savage telling them about the ladder and he gave them a sample of correct ladder for them to mold off of and it got fixed on the final product

For anyone watching who has one and hasn’t assembled the stand, the best method is to line up the clips and give them a hard quick slap rather than try to use constant increasing pressure.

Would love to see Hasbro do a Real Ghostbusters pack. Even in the fan built community you don't see many of those around and given how well they did with the Afterlife pack I have no doubt they could do the same for RGB.
i would absolutely love that. there’s so little love for the rgb pack out there, so an official, screen accurate version would be amazing. even if it only did half as much as the afterlife pack, i’d still pay whatever hasbro would charge
Noting how much love RGB has out there, they might do it. Who knows?
I would spend as much for a RGB pack as they were asking for the ES pack.
I was blown away by Spengler's journal. I read through it last night. It's my favorite stretch goal bonus with the exception of the hose. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it!
Mine too, and it was such a good read. I audibly laughed at the "Tully and Tully" entry...and almost cried at the last page.
It was such a great read I was not disappointed and it confirmed what almost everyone knows already that Peter and Dana got married

I would love a tutorial of the ALICE frame installation. I have seen people have screws left over which I don't think is right. Mine comes next week

I used the Rothco LC1 from from Amazon and didn't have any screws left over.
Yeah, the LC1 frame from Amazon leaves no screws left. Very straightforward installation, too simple to screw up.

When you put the batteries in turn the pack on pull out the rainbow ribbon cable by the cyclotron and it will make two different sound effects
Congrats!!! This looks super exciting!! Waiting over a year sure builds up a lot of anticipation so I'm glad that the unboxing experience didn't disappoint!

Literally got mine on the 11th and I love it. Just waiting on my lc-1 frame and correct yellow cable sleeve to arrive to mod the pack and then I’ve only gotta wait until the 18th so 3 days from now for my wand to ship. Then I will have the full setup
That proton pack looks phenomenal! Jason! And I love how it has all the great details and it comes with marshmallows goo to put effects on the proton pack and I love how it came with the roasted mini pufts as well and everything on that proton pack looks amazing!

8:23 The pack stickers are paper, not vinyl, which is disappointing but not surprising. I ordered a set of labels from Mack's Factory for my pack.
Really happy to hear how sturdy the stand is, even though I plan to mount mine to an ALICE frame. The Spengler wand is great, but the stand that came with it is pretty flimsy.
I'm with you Jason I watched so many videos of unboxings I didn't need the instructions, I am also not going to use the marshmallow attachments im going to hang them on my wall, and for the stickers I'm going to frame them and put then on my wall, thanks for your video great job
I would love to see a mod that gives syncs the pack motor to the wand when firing
Great video. Can't wait to get mine tomorrow! FWIW, it might be a good idea to NOT secure the ion arm with glue or screws, because if it snags on something at a con or a party, it'll just pop off and not break anything. That's just my pair of pennies! Thanks for posting!
True. I guess it can always be remade/fabricated, just worried of losing it at an event.
When you do the Alice frame tutorial, could you use the Haslab shoulder straps and kidney belt? I’m curious to see how well they attach to the frame.
I’d like to see the Alice frame attached but more how it fits on the stand with it.

This is great, glad you got the pack as mine arrived yesterday (Saturday 1/14/23.) one recommended on the upcoming review is check on the V-hook. I’ve heard of some replacing it, let us know if it’s doable & what you recommended for an alternative as you jump in to mod the pack. Thanks!

There are currently 205,386,970 Haslab pack unboxing videos out there, but yours was the only one I'll watch now until I get my pack in the next couple days (hopefully). Keep up the good work, sir :)

The orange tip may also come in handy at conventions which may require such a precaution on any weapon or wand a cosplayer may sport.
@@McFrozenNuggets It's mainly American conventions. I mean, have you seen American cops? You could be holding a banana, and they'd probably shoot you for it.

A few years back, a man tried to sneak guns into a comic convention in Phoenix with the intention of killing Jason David Frank. The convention's screening of cosplay weapons was practically voluntary prior to then, so it was nothing short of a miracle the man was stopped by police (thanks to an online tip).
The next day, the convention over-corrected by flat-out banning ANY cosplay weapon, including swords, light sabers, magic wands and even sonic screwdrivers (just to name a few). Needless to say, it was a disaster for all of the attendees and the convention itself.
Rules have been dialed back since, but there are still a lot of conventions out there that enforce strict rules when it comes to anything that could be perceived as a cosplay weapon-- and neutrona wands haven't exactly been exempt from such practices.
If I ever plan to wear my Hasbro pack to a con, I'll keep the orange hat around just in case.
As soon as mine got here this morning, I put on my flight suit and immediately installed the Alice frame I got for Christmas before putting the batteries in. Well worth the wait.
Can't wait to get mine! I'd love to see a future video on how you weather your pack. I want to but afraid of messing it up.
My brother and I ordered one of these about a year and a half ago and we are planning to put an Alice frame on it. I love your videos

I work 3rd shift and was about to go to bed when I checked my notification for the delivery of my proton packs and they were being delivered today. So no sleep but it was worth it! I love this thing. Now got to go get some sleep.
Can't wait for mine, wish it had interchangeable parts, but can understand why they didn't go that route

I got mine, and I love it! Still, I wish I could keep doing the fun or opening the box for the first time over, and over again. I am keeping it on Afterlife effects. I can't believe all the extras it came with. Also wish I had the room to keep the box displayed. I displayed it with my Spirit Halloween ghost trap, PKE meter, and ecto goggles.
Mine came early! Got it this morning. Gonna be so difficult to wait to unbox this with my friend on Wednesday!

Got mine in Friday and I love it. I’ve always wanted my own portable nuclear accelerator lol. My only problem is my hose is messed up and doesn’t connect securely to the pack. So my neutrino wand will randomly stop working long before the timers up. I’ve contacted Hasbro with a video and hopefully they can help me out. And I’d love a video on what type of Alice frame and how to attach it please!
Jason, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is clear. Milk this sucker for all its worth. I want to see it all: deep dive into the features, deep dive into the spengler journal, mods, ALICE frame addition walkthrough, where-the-hell to attach the stupid marshmallow drips… I know everybody and their terror-dog is getting in on the video action with this beast but you my friend are the one stop shop for this stuff. Would love to hear your thoughts about the v-hook that the pack comes with. I've read lots of people complaining it's not very good and it's probably worth modding.
I have so much trouble hooking the nutrona wand to the pack, with the v hook. One time I thought I had it hooked in and it fell off. Another time my son tapped it accidentally, and the wand fell right off, while the pack with alice frame stayed firmly in place on the stand
Man my pack has been stuck in Middletown Ct about an hour away from home for 2 days now. Getting frustrated with FedEx at this point. So glad you dig it man! Can’t wait to finally get mine.

One thing I haven't seen in videos I've seen is whether or not the pack will stand on it's own when attached to the Alice frame. I assume it does, but haven't seen anyone do it so far.
No, it will NOT stand on its own with the ALICE frame attached. Because the Spirit Pack was small, it was able to lean on the frame. This is not the case for a fullscale pack.

still waiting for mine to ship, but I have notice in the footage that I've seen that the pack lights don't change color to match the firing mode of the wand
I put the back of my stand on backwards in my happy haste, so now the metal texture faces behind instead of forward >_< I'm wondering if I can pop it out with a knife or something, but it is FIRMLY attached lol

I'm still waiting for my Hasbro pack to arrive at my house. tho I would like to see a weight comparison between this pack and one of your other pack replicas.
We picked up ours yesterday and it's got some chunk to it and massive. Box weighs a good 35 pounds if an ounce.
My birthday was Sunday the 8th, I was so happy mine arrived 5 days later on Friday the 13th, Best birthday week ever!

Mine arrived last week. As someone who's never been able to afford a replica pack, this is a genuine dream come true.
The feeling i had when I took my pack out the box is something I haven't felt since I was a child.it ticks all the boxes and is now sitting center piece of my collection.

Got mine yesterday, a little annoyed with the V-hook for the wand, doesn't seem like it hooks all the way. I have an original wand (no orange tip).

I got mine yesterday evening.
Looking forward to your review. Just got mine today. Question I'm wondering about. My wand connection seems to be finicky. About half the time I try to use the wand to turn on the pack, I turn on the first two switches on the body of the wand, the pack starts up. However, as soon as I turn on the third switch on the wand under the firing button, it will shut everything down. Anybody else having this issue. Like I said, it does this about half the time. The other half of the time, it works as it should. Will probably contact Hasbro about it but wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing this or maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Has anyone else have an issue with the proton back not turning on or shutting off randomly? With mine I’ve noticed there are 4 gold connectors on the rim on the cyclotron cover and when the bumper is fully tightened the cover is still slightly loose and not completely flushed with the pack, causing the power to lose connectivity. It’s easy fixed with a washer but still feel like that shouldn’t be an issue with a $400 product unless they just forgot to put a washer on mine. Just trying to see if anyone has had the same issue?

Hey I just received my Hasbro proton pack today. I’m just wondering if anyone has had any issues with the pack not turning on. I put everything together and put in the batteries but when I flip the power switch nothing happens. I’m hoping I didn’t get a dud!

Pick one up in person? You mean in store? This is something that will be sitting on store shelves. They're just too massive and took a lot of floor space, unfortunately.
@@nerdloftgaming there are typically used toy vendors at conventions. like i said, in a couple months, when con season starts, the hype for these packs will have died down a bit, i’m hoping to find one for a reasonable price, in person, at a convention.

Mine was out for delivery, I got notification on the time it was to be delivered and then got canceled. Now, there is no delivery scheduled. Waited all day to sign for it and now I have no idea where it is or when I am going to receive it.
