    Interesting as we project an unicity of beliefs from the Egyptians, though we know for instance the Roman empire was hosting multiple beliefs which weren't shared by all.
    Hypothesis: one empire could be absolutely hegemonic. I don't believe in this hypothesis.

    The truth about the Eye of Horus is much more trivial than you think, but to get to it you have to give up what you want it to be. Neither the psychiatrist nor any of the commenters are close to it, so: "COLD".

      Not that they couldn't articulate but that they couldn't articulate this complicated idea. There are ideas even today that we can't articulate in other way than religious symbolism.

      Do you really think the Egyptians who invented and discovered everything from math, science, religion, sports, art, medicine, surgery, chemistry, engineering, geometry, statistics and language/paper/ink, built the pyramids didn't know how to "articulate"??? The eye of Horus is actually the plan of Atlantis.The Egyptians came from Atlantis.That is why this symbol was used in their culture.It was their origin.Their source.

    The funny thing is he doesn't have the slightest clue what the eye of Horus actually represents. It's comical listening to him arrogantly state the ancient Kemetians were unable to articulate its meaning when the reverse is true. Mr Peterson you should educate yourself on the true meaning before speaking on it. Lastly to understand something as a symbol doesn't equate to worship.

    • @bennu547
      @bennu547 3 роки тому +11

      I very much doubt you know what the Eye of Hours means either. The point he was making is that for a long time, people understood what importance the eye has. That when things shine in front of your eyes, you gravitate towards that and focused on that. The meaning of the Eye of Horus doesn’t matter as much to what he’s saying because it’s not the concept being it. It’s the fact that eyes in general have very strong symbolism throughout time for a reason. Oh one more thing. The. Egyptians. Weren’t. Black💁‍♀️ The DNA and bone morphology studies have shown that beyond a shadow of a doubt yet I bet you’re one of the special yucks that still denies this as fact because it hurts your little feelings
      Also he technically isn’t wrong here. Horus lost his eye because he had this string drive to defeat his uncle Set for murdering his father. The story behind it is a story of Horus who had this vision and passion to set forth and reclaim his right to rule and avenge his father
      You don’t have to look farther then the Eye of Ra (two different concepts) to see that it’s more heavy on light. Ra sent out his eye to find his children. The eye emanated light in the darkness of chaos when the world was just Ra, his children and nothingness. The eye also got very jealous that Ra replaced it so Ra made it the literal sun. The sun being a very focal concept to Egyptian symbolism when in their mythology, was Ra’s literal eyeball
