I had to remove the original version. This is the same cut, just with more bleeps. At least it gave me a chance to fix the illegible font on the credits. Happy Halloween!
Bleeps? Damn youtube censorship...treating adults like little children. Hope you switch to rumble like so many other content creators so that Google's youtube cencorship abomination can finally go bankrupt.
For those confused by the ending of Shock 'em Dead, part of the deal Angel has made means that he can't eat food any more - he literally throws it back up - so by having someone injecting some into his bloodstream, his body literally tears itself apart trying to get rid of it. It's an odd movie, but frankly that's part of its charm.
Said it on the original upload, I'll say it again: "Rock N Roll Nightmare/Edge of Hell" is one of the most perfectly watchable bad movies I've ever seen. It's 75 minutes of setup to a 10 minute punchline, and the only thing I can't believe is how well it works.
I've only watched a couple of Jess Franco movies. One was an early 1960s gothic horror movie in black and white while the other was one of his most famous titles from the early 1970s and it had exactly what the movie title suggested.
I am so surprised you have to add bleeps as I don't think it's that common a practice even for professional youtubers. Damn the system! And thank you for such great retrospective!
I saw Rock N Roll Nightmare in some shit dive bar in Omaha. Went to see Zolar X, who were opening for Thor, whose lead singer starred in that movie. Played it in its entirety before either band played, with Jon Mikl Thor talking about it beforehand and I think he did a running commentary as well. Wierdest concert I have ever attended, it was great.
Thanks once again for all the great and I imagine hard work. I was able to add a couple of the musics to my growing Cult track playlist thanks to this !
I thought this video looked familiar... 🤔 Well, have my like and comment again. I'll leave this running tinwatch a few more times. My partner always calls the movie with "The Intercessor" _"The one with the guy with no friends."_ Owing to the weird plot point of him conjuring HIS, "band" into existence. Happy Halloween to you as well, I'm going to have the music from the final battle with Old Scratch in my head all day now.
Teruyoshi Ishii's later career is FULL of some recognizable Tokusatsu names! He went on to direct numerous episodes of Ultramans Tiga, Dyna, and Cosmos, as well as 2 eps of Chouseishin Justiriser, all eps of its sequel Genseishin Gransazer, and even directed Ishimori Productions' Indonesian collaboration series, Satria Garuda BIMA and BIMA-X! As of 2019 he's written and directed what appears to be an anime film titled "Viral Dead."
Edge Of Hell a firm favourite for the supernaturally boring van driving scenes. If memory serves, the first 10 minutes of the movie are solid van driving, on the same, very straight, very long road. Hard recommend, especially if you enjoy vans & roads.
As the number one Paganini Horror apologist, I like to point out that both vocal songs in the movie rip off either Bon Jovi or Electric Light Orchestra. Not very metal, but very earwormy!
4:47 I thought Paganini looked a cross of that one puppet from The Puppet Master and Eddie from Iron Maiden. NICE! You put in Hack O Lantern. That movie was horrible. I'm glad you included it. LOL.
After watching all his videos, admittedly more than once, I have finally caught him on a factual error.... Terror on Tour is also available on Betamax as an official release. I got him good.
If I had a nickle for every time I saw someone playing that split legs guitar on a movie that includes some sort of demon, I would have two nickles, which doesn't sound like much but it's weird that it had happened to me twice, right?
The director himself had mixed feelings about the movie because of how many changes and compromises he had to deal with. It's not too surprising that he took a long break before returning to directing feature films.
Thank you for including Hard Rock Zombies, If I could get away with saying the story how I discovered this on the Horror Channel when it launched, i would.
Wait a minute - 'Monster Dog' includes two (2) Alice Cooper songs, and they were both written for the "movie" - Yeah it's a Claudio Fragasso "movie", not a real movie!
“Not a Franco fan”. None, Rob? Not the De Sadian Eurosleaze of Eugenie, or Vampyros Lesbos even? Love your commentaries with Oliver Harper, by the way.
I just saw Blood Tracks. Many idiots in the film along with very unrealistic actions if it was real life. The scene where the sum what sane family member tells them to stop the madness is so stupid and he’s not coming back from that injury at the end of that movie. Either way, it’s a typical 80’s B movie horror film which Ill pass.
" Trick or Treat " was a belter , playing a Record backwards was " Help help the Bhoy " if I remember rightly , Great vid on VHS ..think I might still have it ..Great vid anyway.
I had to remove the original version. This is the same cut, just with more bleeps. At least it gave me a chance to fix the illegible font on the credits. Happy Halloween!
Also his name is HY PIKE
That’s cool. Just gives me an excuse to rewatch.

Job well done! Happy Halloween! New to the channel, have you done Best/Worst werewolf movies?? That would be fantastic!
I was wondering how long the original would stay up. I'm going to re-watch and dance around like a Kansas city....

Jon mikl Thor is always worth watching
It's one of my favourite movies of all time. If you haven't seen the documentary about Thor, you should.
So sorry you had to re-upload this - UA-cam is such a fickle and tempermental beast.
People in the future will look back at this youtube censorship era in utter disgust. It's absolute nonsense.
the bass riff from hard rock zombies goes so hard
It is easily the heaviest riff in the whole movie.
@3baxcb idk if I heard my kid listening to "my home town" I'd freak about Satanism too
'indecipherable t-shirt logos' ***shows alternative tentacles shirt***
"But this is a Jess Franco movie so that proves a bad idea." A Jess Franco movie is generally a bad idea.

The second this finished I started singing "'Im the devil's son!"
Jokes on you, I already have The Devil's Son in my head at all times!
80s & 90s western culture was peak humanity.
The content, the deadpan delivery, the dedication to research... a true YT gem.

This, RLM and Collative Learning are my movie youtube trio. Can't go wrong with them
A moment of silence for the original video upload... At least before a heavy metal guitar riff comes in and reminds us all why we're here.
Thanks once again for all the great and I imagine hard work.

The animated DETHKLOK tv series was able to capture the genre for short format viewing.
Absolutely love this channel !
And remember to always eat your drugs
Happy to re-watch, there's plenty to check out *soon*
Paganini Horror looks simply awesome.
"Beetlejuices" is an excellent addition to the list of monster names that are funnier when plural, like "Draculas" or "Frankensteins".

100% worth rewatching!!
4:47 I thought Paganini looked a cross of that one puppet from The Puppet Master and Eddie from Iron Maiden.
NICE! You put in Hack O Lantern. That movie was horrible. I'm glad you included it. LOL.
This video absolutely delighted me. I tended to avoid Rock Horror as a kid . . . but clearly, I was missing out. Thanks, Rob.
“Heavy Metal Bollywood horror” is one hell of a genre
Deathgasm!!!
Youuuuu...should *really* advertise your commentary tracks with Ollie on here somehow ! Love 'em. 👍 Keep up the great work !
What a stellar opening edit!🎉
Aw... I'll watch it again; thanks for the great video as always!
I stopped watching this to listen to The Avalanches for a bit.
I like these types of movies because music is great.
You are the devils’ son is my jam!!
Rob Zombie definitely took some ideas out of these films.
After watching all his videos, admittedly more than once, I have finally caught him on a factual error.... Terror on Tour is also available on Betamax as an official release. I got him good.

The guy with the long hair from death metal zombies look a lot like Chris Angel and its cracking me up !!
Everyone has to see Wild Zero at least once. It's just indescribable.
Paganini horror is such a great horror movie title. Its disappointing that it was attached to such a subpar movie.
You rule. Your videos make me laugh and learn. Rock on
24:05 Are those the mind control starfish from "Suicide Squad?"
great editting as always
Easy Action sounds pretty rockin'.
Never heard or watched this kind of genre until now. The premise is quite impossible, "Heavy Metal Horror"
indecipherable t shirts? That's an Alternative Tentacles t shirt. It's one of the best punk rock record labels to have ever existed.
Another GREAT Movie Doco Rob! :)
Wait a minute - 'Monster Dog' includes two (2) Alice Cooper songs, and they were both written for the "movie" - Yeah it's a Claudio Fragasso "movie", not a real movie!
I'm going to pretend as is this is new... Fantastic work, as always I love your content.
Jon Mikl Thor also starred in the 1987 stupid film ZOMBIE NIGHTMARE, along with Adam West and Tia Carrere.
i enjoyed this one so much i watched it a second time.
The Killer Barbys one looks like every mid-90s TROMA film in that it looks like it was shot in 1983 and is randomly dubbed.
Paganini Horror: even dead musicians hate plagiarism 😏
I rented Monster Dog and believe me, it was.
Paganini Horror has one of the best horror movie posters. Too bad that Paganini in the movie does not resemble the one from the poster.
Is that Toni Basil dancing in the beginning montage???
Yes, from Slaughterhouse Rock.
Crow Wicked Prayer #11 😂
“Not a Franco fan”.
None, Rob? Not the De Sadian Eurosleaze of Eugenie, or Vampyros Lesbos even?

_Spain's_ Carpathian mountains?
That's a joke. I'm fairly sure the film is set in the actual Carpathian mountains, but is clearly not filmed there.
Monster 🐕
And so we had cannibalism to the list of domestic violence consequences
Why is the. F word censored for
No Shocker!
14:55 is that all?
Black Roses 🤣
There’s AC/DC feature Maximum Overdrive based on Stephen King story do next review

...not quite related but Sharon Osbourne is the Yoko Ono of Heavy Metal.
When will this hit 666 likes?
" Trick or Treat " was a belter , playing a Record backwards was " Help help the Bhoy " if I remember rightly , Great vid on VHS ..think I might still have it ..Great vid anyway.
um its Hy Pyke...
the musical sequence from Hack O Lantern is genuine high art
