I love cheap & effective tackle. You don't need lots of money to catch fish. It helps but it's not required.

Mine was 18 bucks i caught 6 trout with it. It works good but it came with 10lb line to heavy for this reel.Plus i had to sand down a sharp edge on the reel no big deal did not hurt the reel.4or 6lb line will work best for this reel.

For $20.00 you can't complain. It's a nice setup for young kids who are just starting out and need something decent that works. I know that a Quantum Optix is probably a way better reel but a Quantum Optix with a decent rod is going set a person back at least $40.00. It's also a good buy if you want to leave something in the car or truck for spur of the moment fishing.
