    ATTENTION: This video is a re-post of the Fox 2.5 install video we posted last year with a few updates added in. This means the video will look very familiar if you watched the previous version. Sorry for any confusion and thanks for watching!

    Have had these shocks on my ranger for over a year now and absolutely love them. Totally worth the $ IMO

      Glad to hear it! I agree. This kit is pricey, but it can take a serious beating and the ride quality is excellent.

    On your other install it mentions removing the axle nut, brakes, etc to avoid CV damage. I could have sworn I saw an install that just drops the LCA just like you’ve done with the Bronco - but, I can’t find it.

    Hello just to clarify are all fox shocks side specific at the front (left is left and cannot be interchanged with the right side)? Specifically the fox shocks that came with the 2020 Ranger Raptor. Thanks.

    How come you guys never have issues with the UV joint disconnecting? Lots of people suggest undoing the axle nut before pulling on the spindle.

      He mentioned it but it seemed like his popped right back in or maybe his didnt fully pop out to begin with.

    I just bought some Bilstein 5100s (from you guys) and wanted to install them this weekend. By chance, can you direct me to an online source for the bolt torques when completing the install?

    Can a compression tool be used to compress the strut before the struggle ?

    How does this set up drive at higher speeds with the wheel, tire suspension combo? Do the wheels shake at all? My Ranger shakes quite a bit at 70mph + and my set up is similar. The tires have been balanced and it’s the first time I’ve done modifications so I’m not sure how you all would go about trying to get a smoother ride.

    • @stage3motorsports
      @stage3motorsports  2 роки тому

      This combo is great on the highway, outside of the general noise from the racks this a smooth ride up to 70 MPH

    Hi, are your upper control arms stock? Is there a need to change the factory arm? Tia

    • @NoahStage3

      In this video we still had the stock uppers, but we did install a set of Grimm Offroad UCAs later on. If you're not adding more than 2" of lift in the front you can keep the stock UCAs. If you add more than 2" of lift or you frequently push your truck hard offroad then an aftermarket UCA is worth getting. Hope that helps!

    How's the clearance on the resi. Seems like you could drag it, or worse strip it off, on some rocks pretty easily on some difficult trails?

    Whenever you get a kit for Rangers with the steel spindles, then I can get one... why is every kit for aluminum spindles?? Frustrating as hell.

    • @JonBecker81
      @JonBecker81 2 роки тому

      You can use these shocks on steel spindles. The only thing the steel spindles limits you on is upper control arms. camburg’s UCAs will work with steel.

      @@CookieManCookies the steel ones are black and the aluminum ones are just bare aluminum.

    Hey guys!! I want t get this kit for my 21 ranger 2wd and I was wondering if there is any modifications that have to be done to the shocks to make em fit on a 2wd ??

    • @NoahStage3
      @NoahStage3 3 роки тому

      As far as I know, you shouldn’t need to modify this suspension to fit a 2WD truck, but I’ve only done this install on 4WD Rangers. I’d still highly recommend calling Fox to confirm everything with one of their techs. Sorry I don't have a more direct answer for you!

      @@NoahStage3 thank you! I appreciate the help! I have been looking at the icon one also and the description says
      RWD/2WD Ranger Fitment: this shock will not fit an RWD/2WD Ranger out of the box, due to slight differences in the RWD truck's lower shock mounts. Replacing or boring out the included bushing sleeve will allow fitment on an RWD/2WD Ranger. So I wasn’t sure if I have to bore out the sleeve for sure.
